It's about 8:30 and we're standing at the busstop at Epcot waiting for the bus to OKW to freshen up and then hit Pleasure Island. As we wait, M1 suddenly decides to start talking! This is a new thing for him this trip. I suppose I should give you a little background. I've known M1 for several years; I met him when I started working for my company. He's not a bad guy, but he does tend to drink alot, and chase women who already have guys. I really think this is an issue for him, as in the three years I've known him, he has fallen for no fewer than 5 women (all of whom work at our company) and all of whom are already married, engaged, or committed to others. At this point in time, he is in love with a girl 15 years his junior who is engaged to another man. He starts talking to us about her, and how in love he is. He's been buying her presents the entire trip. A and I gently try to point out to him that perhaps she is not the best place to place his affections, but decide that we don't want to ruffle the evening by arguing with him. He tells us we are the greatest girls in the world for listening to him and he just loves us. This theme will NOT be repeated the rest of the trip.
The bus comes, we get back to the room, and we're off to PI. A and I were here for a whirlwind weekend back in January, and we practically lived at 8Traxx. We tried Motion and Mannequins and some other clubs, but they were too much like the clubs back home: teenagers barely dressed, out to impress. All A and I want to do is dance! We drag M1 to 8Traxx and are relieved to see it is just like we remember. We leave M1 at the bar to get drinks and hit the dance floor. We are having a blast dancing to Safety Dance, Relax, Stayin' Alive and many others! (I want to insert here that A is the best dancer I know!) There is a guy dancing who is dressed to the nines and slightly resembles Enrique Eglasias (sp). He is abnormally thin, but an amazing dancer. He winds his way over to A and starts dancing with her. We play along for several songs, he tips his hat to us and heads off across the floor. We watched him dance with just about every girl there, including us a few more times. He looked like he was just there to dance, which was cool.
M1 has been watching us and we are trying to convince him to come out on the dance floor. He finally agrees, and I notice that he has been drinking something dark from a plastic cup for quite awhile. I ask what it is and he says, "Just Coke". I believe him on that (I know, I know) and we continue to dance. We keep this up until about 12:30 when A and I decide we;ve danced ourselves silly and we need to get going. We walk outside and sit on the ledge directly outside 8Traxx. M1 is clearly drunk and finally admits that his "just coke" is actually rum and coke. He decides his lady love needs more presents, so he stumbles into the store directly across from 8Traxx. A and I continue to sit, talking and enjoying the evening. We are approached by a few guys, whom we politely but firmly rebuff and soon half an hour has passed. We notice that the store M1 disappeared into has locked it's doors. Wait a minute!! Where is M1?? Have we lost him?? I go over to ask the cast member in the store if she has seen him, and through the window I see him leaning on the counter, flirting with the cast member behind it. I go back to A, tell her what's going on, and proceed to wait some more.
Eventually, M1 comes out, without any purchases, and we head back to the rental van. I have the keys, and I am completely sober (A and I hardly ever drink when we dance). M1 decides he is going to drive and A and I have to literally wrestle him into the van's backseat, where he promptly passes out. I pray he doesn't throw up back there and make tracks for OKW. A and I wrestle M1 from the van, drag him up the steps to our room, sit him in a chair and proceed to pull out the sofa for him. We then pick him up, lead him to the bed and try to make him comfortable. We then head to our room. I head into the bathroom and get ready for bed. When I emerge, A is laying across her bed, alternately laughing and shaking her head. I ask her what happened, and she tries to tell me, but she can hardly speak. Finally, she manages to catch her breath and tell me.
Turns out M1 roused himself enough to get undressed. COMPLETELY undressed. Once he accomplished this, he knocked on our door to say goodnight. He opened the door a crack, said goodnight, and retreated back to the sofabed. A hadn't heard him, so she walked over to the door and opened it to ask what he wanted. Just in time to see a very white rear view of M1!! She quickly closed the door and collapsed, which is where I found her. I shook my head, and hoped for a moment that my mom didn't decide to be an early riser in the morning. I didn't want her to discover M1 in all his naked glory. A and I finally made it to bed around 2:30 or so.
Next day is the poolside BBQ in the rain, the day M1 stops speaking to us at all, the Hoop-de-Doo Review, and the set-up for day 6, when M1 disappears without a trace...
