If anyone can tell me what I may wish to bring to an OKW 1 bedroom that IS NOT ALREADY THERE, then reply and make a list! I have already been told to bring detergent (all kinds); a strainer for pasta; and extra towels. Will be arriving this Sunday!!!!!

Any help is graciously appreciated. We are bringing all of our food.

If you're coffee drinkers, bring coffee filters and coffee or buy them there. You'll only get enough for a couple of days. Last time we were in a one bedroom there was a strainer for pasta. I know that because I made pasta. I don't know if that's changed. Don't forget fabric softener sheets along with your detergent. The Shout towelettes help with stains too.

I always bring a couple extra bars of soap, one for the kitchen sink and one for the extra bathroom sink (they sometimes put soap there, sometimes not). Foil for wrapping food.

If you have room in the car, a slow cooker for easy meals has always been a must for us. I usually plan my meals ahead so I know if I need anything special. A friend likes to bring her waffle maker & her electric fry pan to make a big breakfast meal. I usually bring (buy there) the throw away food starage containers, sandwich wrapers and a box of gallon storage bags. An insulated lunch tote has come in handy to take snacks and bottle water into the park. I also bring my own beach towels.

DVC will provide all the dish soap and dishwasher soap you will need. If you will be cooking, bring spices, salt and pepper. No napkins are provided, so if you don't want to use paper towels, bring some. You will need shampoo/conditioner as you will only get 1 small bottle. Even though it was mentioned, COFFEE and fIlters, the flat Mr. Coffee type for a 8 -12 cup pot, I HAVE to have my coffee.:smooth:

You might want some bath salts/oils for that BIG 2 person whirlpool tub. ;)

Have a great trip.

You should have no need for extra towels. You have a washer and dryer right there with you. You can trhow the towels in anytime. Besides there are nore than enough towels for 2 people. My count is about 4 sets of towels. I can not help you with anything else, we never cook there, only have breakfast -bagels, etc. You can buy most of the stuff you will need if you need it, soap etc.

I always try to remember paper napkins. They have plenty of paper towels, though. Once we forgot and it was just as easy to "aquire" a few extra napkins at counter serve places.

WOW! Okay..I don't need a strainer, was already planning on the bath salts for the tub, we are already bringing beach towels (going to Port Orleans to dragon slide as well as OKW pool), bring spices (would not have thought of that), and coffee and filters a MUST. I am guessing I should bring extra laundry soap/softener.

Our plan is to bring staples with us that don't need refridgeration, then when we get to Kissimmee area around 2:00 p.m., hit grocery store for "fresh" items, and check in.

ALSO love the candles idea, but we have 2 little guys, so getting romantic may not be an option. But we're sure going to try like hell!!!!!!

Thanks to all of you!

A basting brush and match light charcoal if you're planning on grilling out. We usually throw in things like coffee, sugar, powdered creamer, cereal, instant Oatmeal, spices, foil, saran wrap and the like. Things that are fairly small and will keep. That way we do't have to go all over the store trying to find something we know right where it is at home. We just get the perishables we didn't bring and we're off Even bringing frozen steaks and the like isn't a bad idea. I had planned to do so when we went to Ocean Pointe last week but didn't so I ended up paying $10.99 and $11.99 a pound for steak I could have gotten for $5.99 to $7.99 at home, at the same chain no less.
