Legs you are correct. Fanueil Hall is in Boston. Its a group of buildings full of food and shops. One of the nintey zillion historical places in Boston. Of course back in the day you couldn't get good pizza there, but you probably could get a cow or something.

Not to pick on you Barry, but is it just me or do you hate to be told that you don't need to lose any (more) weight? My weight is in the average range and I wear a size 6, but I know that I will feel and look better with another 10 pounds gone. To me it is clear that my percent body fat is too high. I am just so tired of people telling me I don't need to lose anymore weight. OK, rant over.

Doc Rafiki is pretty skinny, so I'm not sure why she wants to lose more weight, unless she wants to be a supermodel.

If someone told me I didn't need to lose any more weight, I'd be celebrating! :)

Jeez. I go to walmart for one afternoon and everyone posts! Doc, you've gotta stop reading the threads with the sad titles! Don't worry none of my pets, including my new kitten will be populating the world. I also get my animals from shelters. I am glad to hear some people on this board have social lives. Lord knows I don't. I was down in Faneuil Hall yesterday. The new bar that looks like cheers is pretty cute. No men to speak of, unless you count the college kid selling souvieners in a little cove next to the bathroom. That is kinda weird.

That is weird. It's like you read the post that I just lost. (It was a long one, but now I just don't have the heart to re-write it. :( Just responses to everyone; nothing huge.) Anyway, you guys made my day (well, that and the AWESOME Sunday night music on the radio) :D SuprGro78 & other pet lovers on here -- so reassuring to see that there ARE many many people like you out there, when it seems like we're losing the battle.

FF-- so great to hear of other people who care. Horses are a bit much for me to handle.

PW -- that feels better

H_o_p -- hope that helps you feel better.

Disney & Mr D -- love the stories. keep 'em coming!

Disney -- I have SO wanted to try kick boxing for so long. I really could use it after work on these hectic weekend shifts.

Mr D -- you better watch what you say on the CB! Mention terrorists or even an ethnicity, and you're asking for a lashing! I love our non-uptight thread. :) That was kinda weird about the pilot game, but I bet they were just pulling your chain. But keep those eyes open! Such is life now.

TB -- you know it, sistah! I've heard that my whole life, it seems (well not so much now as I used to :o). I apparently am VERY good at making fat look skinny. Of course, I have only worn a swimsuit in public once since like 6th grade. Gotta keep living up to the image.

Barry --- Barry, Barry, Barry. You know that video's like a year old now. And I don't post my fat photos!!! :teeth: I currently could use to lose 15-20#. It's been a very fatty week for me. I'm up a good 5#. I think it's that time. Oops, sorry, didn't mean to say that in Barry's segment. :p

Flminnie -- Ack. I know I had comments for you, but now I forgot, and your posts were too long ago to show up on the scroll at the bottom. So.... HI!

I don't mean to leave anyone out. Sometimes I get the guys all confused (except for Barry, of COURSE). Coaster Addict -- have you been around today?

Really, that was much shorter than what I was originally writing.

OH-- did I mention I got clawed in the face by a cat today? I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! It gave me NO warning! I had to PLUCK it off of my face!!!! I was petting it!!! But only one claw mark... right under my eye. And the owners told it... "we'll have to give you a treat when we get home." Yeah, I'll give you treat, you little...
And I am without doubt the most forgiving (towards animals) person in our clinic, but this one really got to me.

Oh-- FF -- did you miss Disney's date report? She posted one a few pages back. Not sure if that's what you're talking about.

I'm off tomorrow, though I have to go in and do catch-up work. So, I'll be checking here all night. H_O_P -- if I find anything to put your mind in a silly state, I'll share it. :yo-yo:

Hey Barry nice TP

Hey, TP is something everyone uses. That's what I'm getting everyone for Christmas next year. You may not like a certain CD or movie, or you may not like a certain color of a sweater. But you will always use toliet paper!

Don't tell me that you don't use TP! :)

Hey DR, if you do Karaoke again, I will be sure to get some updated video. But if DR gets any skinnier, we'll see her thoughts! :)

Oh, I am SO glad that post took. I thought I lost it AGAIN.

Oh trust me, it's good to hear. It all depends on who it's coming from, I guess. My mom saying it over and over -- annoying, especially when she follows up by telling me she weighed 100# when she was married at age 27. Like I forgot that since the LAST time she mentioned it.

Anyway -- you know, last night I was standing in front of the mirror doing the "pregnant pose." You ladies know the one! I SWEAR I could take a picture, send it to my old friends, and convince every one of them that I'm pregnant... and I mean like seven months. If I weren't so mortified by the thought of them seeing my fat, that would be a sweet trick.

Suprgro -- any time you want to talk about Boston sights, I'm :listen:. It will be like travel planning without the effort. :teeth:

:earseek:
Well at least there's some incentive to lose weight. Can't be having the fatty episodes going on the permanent record.

Hey-- I just realized that my DIS initials are the same as my favorite musician, Damien Rice. :lovestruc

About TP -- do you use TP if you use a bidet? I would, cuz you'd still be wet. But you never know. I'm not sure about proper bidet usage.

hey Barry, of course I use TP. I am not a famous obnoxious movie star or singer that can use money or have some one else do it for me.

Doc, are you planning a trip to Boston? BTW Bidets make me nervous. Glad I don't run into them very often. Tee hee

I'm not sure how to use a bidet. How do you get the part you want to clean over the water? How do you know if you're clean afterwards? Something you only see with the rich and famous.

If I am not mistaken, some bidets come with a drying function that blasts some warm air at you to dry up after the water bath portion.

I'm wanting to go to Boston in April. I have one high school friend who lives there, maybe sleep on his couch a couple of nights. I want to follow my lover Damien Rice around to a few of his concerts. Also thinking about NYC, with Montreal being the major stopover. I know I could spend 2 weeks in any one of those cities, but it will be a fun time if I can manage it. Got to convince a friend to come at least to Montreal. Boston I could do solo since I'll at least have my friend to meet up with. It's really just in the daydream stages of planning.

Barry -- about your coaster count -- wasn't it just yesterday that you were at 100? How did you increase by 50% so quickly? Did you just start riding coasters within the past few years? Maybe I should copy you and do a similar concert count. I don't think I'd get anywhere near 100, though. How do you determine what counts? Kiddie coasters? Those little traveling fairs? Do you have a set of rules?

DANG, well then who needs a boyfriend? i'm getting a bidet!

My coaster count has been 138 since July. Then I rode 6 last weekend. How do I count them? Essentally, there are 3 rules:

1.) If it runs on rails and is partially moved by gravity, then it's a coaster

2.) If it's on www.rcdb.com listed as a coaster, then it's a coaster

3.) 1 track = 1 coaster

Thus, kiddie coasters and some things people don't consider as a coaster (like Sea World's Journey to Atlantis) count because they meet all three requirements. Fair coasters count as long as you don't ride the same coaster from the same operator at another fair.

If you travel for 2-3 weeks and ride nothing but coasters, then you can get up to 100 pretty quickly.

I am interested in your coaster counting as well Barry. So the 1 track/1 coaster rule, does that mean that the gwazi or dueling dragons count as two, since they have two separate tracks? Also a question about the runs on rails/gravity thing....can't some things classify then as coasters based on that which clearly are not coasters? For example....Tower of Terror...the elevator cars move along rails for a bit and then drop, I am sure somewhat affected by gravity. If I am missing some BIG reason here why my logic is off than please forgive me for asking such a stupid question

HA! That sounds like a good idea. Where is your friend from Boston Doc?

Hmmm... don't know. He just moved a few days ago. I'll get back to you on that. Hey ladies..... he's single!

Gwazi and Dueling Dragons have two separate tracks, so they are considered 2 credits. So you count the credit as Gwazi: Lion, Gwazi: Tiger, Dueling Dragons: Fire, and Dueling Dragons: Ice. Even dual tracked coasters count as two, even though the layout may be the same. Thunder and Lighting on Hersheypark's Lightning Racer, for example, both have the same track layout, but they are two separate tracks. Kennywood's Racer, however, would only be one credit even though it has two trains. Both trains run on one track.

As for other things powered by gravity, remember, they need to meet all 3 requirements. TOT is not listed on rcdb.com as a roller coaster, so it doesn't count. However, Adventureland's The Underground is listed on rcdb.com, so it counts, even though I see it as one big dark ride. So things like Cedar Point's Demon Drop are powered by gravity, but are not listed on www.rcdb.com.

Confused yet? :)
