ACK! What are you doing, woman!? Hopefully you will make it through classes and come home and take a nap. At least the first day is usually pretty tame.

Do you have AIM? We could exchange screen names, and I could yell at you to go to bed! :p
LOL! Thanks, Jen!! :teeth: Actually, I did take a nap this afternoon for a couple hours. Slept right through my doctor's appt.! They wasted no time in calling and leaving a message that I owe them $25 for not showing up! :(

PW, to you! That waiting is the worst! Try and distract yourself with other thoughts. Like, Orlando Bloom on Pirates. Be still my beating heart! :faint: :bitelip: I don't usually dwell on actors, but him I could dwell on for a while!!
Thanks, Vicki! Other thoughts? There are no other thoughts. LOL! :earseek: I never did see that movie.

And since I am the little detective I am :magnify:.....I took it upon myself to look him up in our school's online class directory, and it happened to give his email, which just happened to be an aol account, which just happens to list his marital status in his profile. He is currently unattached. :smooth: [/B]

I just happen to be ROTFLMAO! You are GOOD! :teeth: :smooth:

So, we could all go :boat: :boat: :boat: , sail away to Margaritaville, or something. :sunny:

Definitely count me in!

Had a long chat w/ karate instructor today. About nothing in particular. Wish I had the nerve to ask him to a movie. But, as someone said, then if things get awkward, they'll get even more awkward when I have to see him at class. Don't want to date him in the today definition of date. Just have someone to see a movie with. [/B]

That is a toughie. What if you mentioned to him that you are looking for a buddy to see movies with?

PW -- yea on the e-mails! what does he say?

Disney -- I had a hard time following your directions but might try that if I don't get this "favorites" thing to work.

You are quite the investigator. You go! There's nothing wrong with keeping your options open. I sure do miss school. I thought it was hard to meet people when I was in college. Then I learned what it was really like to have a hard time when I went to vet school. Then I REALLY learned what it was like to have a hard time when I started working. You know, somebody at that party made the remark that -- if they knew how hard it would be to meet someone after finishing school, they would have just picked someone back then and made it work, rather than waiting for Mr Perfect. Kinda sad, isn't it?

h_o_p -- doesn't the "today definition" of date just rot? Surely there are more old-fashioned people out there. God, I would never think I'd call myself old-fashioned. {And I concur on Orlando Bloom... :faint: And I haven't even seen the movie!}

MrD -- thanks for the insight. Those are funny, especially about the hooker. That's how I feel about the 21-yr-old. What could he see in me? Oh yeah, he thinks I'm a horny housewife in my prime. :p

TB -- welcome back! I am still considering the Match thing, but now that I have a month to slack, it's not on the top of my priority list. ;)

But my heart just isn't in this area anymore or my house or my job. Just like PW. I moved to this area to be with my husband-to-be. Got married here, had a baby here. Lots of memories here. I've been divorced going on 4 yrs. I feel ready for a change. It would be great to live close to my mom and sister. My sister has 2 kids, one a year younger than dd and one a year older. My dd loves to be with her cousins. I thought it would be great for her to be closer to them since she is an only child.

Why throw your life into turmoil?"
Seriously thinking of a move back near family, Legs? That's a good place to go. If I go to the area of Virginia I'd like to be in, I'll be about a 4 or 5 hour drive from my sister. She lives in Northern VA. And heaven forbid an emergency comes up, it would be much easier to have her help than trying to get it here in FL. It's making more and more sense to me to do it. But the thought of selling the house and physically moving...finding an apartment and eventually a home, job, etc. is quite overwhelming.

He answered a couple things I asked about in his usual clever way. ;) And he's been paying the price at work for taking off extra during the holidays. :( Working late and getting home 8 p.m. and later. :( Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...I want to go back there NOW!!

Your comment on what the 21 year old is thinking is too funny, Jen!! :earseek:

Well generally I never gave a lot of thought to guys from school...for a long period of time I was in a relationship so I wasn't looking anyways, then I was taking classes online, and am just now back into the classroom after 3 semesters of "just" online. I was complaining about how I wasn't excited to be "going" to class again to Sandy the other day...tonight when I came home and mentioned "school guy" she said...so now are you glad you are "going?" I suppose I am!! He is also not the general "type" I would be drawn to, which is good...I need to branch out! HAHA!! My recent luck in meeting/initially attracting some guys (although one turned out to be a complete jerk, and the jury is still out on the other) has given me a ton more self confidence then I had when I first left my relationship. Now setting my sights on a "hottie" does not seem out of the question!! ;)

Too funny Doc....the real question though...are you?? :smooth:

Thanks folks, I try to be myself occasionally but often I'm more the cynical person wrapped up in trying to be a small but effective member in protesting the current leadership at Disney, that doesn't mean I won't eventually go there but a whole lot less than I did two years ago.

I really like looking at the younger ladies and often I'm flirted at(it actually happens a lot) but unfortunately some things cannot happen and finding someone just won't work by looking for it, I know from many years of it, it happens or it doesn't and I stopped getting depressed a long time ago when it doesn't, so I really turn down flirts and even the possible serious ones, they have no idea what they are looking at, what I do and trying to keep up with me, and my stubborn ways. I'm an adventurer sorta like Indy, a tech/sleuth and very intelligent having mastered several engineering trades.

If I was to "look" it would most likely be when I want to retire and thats probably in less than 10 years, I'm 47 but feel like 30 and recently told I look it, sorry to add my personal image here but we are all friends, right?;)

well its good night and up early to start another journey...

Good luck ladies, look for guys that have a twinkle in their eye' cause those are the ones that give the best ride....:teeth:
