Hello everyone, thought I'd pop in here a bit. So far everything is falling into place here in Orlando, getting around is always a challenge compared to back home where we have only "one" highway that runs north of my little town of Wasilla on up past Fairbanks, hard to get lost in Alaska actually, but here in Florida I have to be on my toes as the rental home is way south in Kissimmee just off of Poinciana. But I am finding the route out for our daily trips to Universal, my son absolutely loved Jimmy Neutron, and he was terrified of Twister, he is almost 10 but is still a baby LOL. Sunday I tricked him into riding Dr. Doom at IOA, (heh heh heh) I never realized what a little wimp he is, so much for chance breeding...
Its a bummer I only had just one kid in my life, hopefully some day before I get ALL gray hairs another will come around, good woman are hard to find especially the ones that can put up with an italian/german/irish as myself, plus I'm a perfectionist. So much I did late in life hopping around the country never settling down, oh well.
Anyhow its tuesday (I think) and its about 5 am local time, my internal clock has adjusted as I always get up at 3am without an alarm clock and I'm ready to start my day, gonna run back over to that mega Walmart on 535 and get more kitchen and house stuff, I keep forgetting that both of us are 2 hour snackers, we eat and put the leftovers in fridge and come back another hour or two later to finish it off, last night was pizza.
But anyway just in case anybody is interested and I know a lot of folks have "been there and done that" that Universal is a really neat park, both of them, I'm gonna have to slip out some evening soon and spend some time to myself, perhaps over at Pleasure Island at WDW, course I'm a loner and have always been that way sometimes I need to see if there is a world out there. Back at home I am always on my own at work by myself in the dead of winter, at night (cause its ALWAYS NIGHT IN WINTER) checking up on the status of the plant, the equipment and doing repairs before the next season starts, I do more work in 4 hours by myself than two guys in a day.
So this is just a kinda trip report thingie and a musing, Joey wants to stay at home and play his XBOX and PS2, me I cant just stop, even on vacation I'm wired ready to rally troops, organized the offensive maneuvers etc. (my job literally is like that!) I'd make a pretty fair drill sargent I think
And again we missed the last show of Sinbad at IOA, I'm just gonna have to park his but in that area and tell him we are going HERE, he is such a whiner. When I was his age I was working in my dads junkyard cutting up scrap car bodies for money, kids are too soft nowadays, and woman are too cynical (other places than Alaska), in Alaska they are more dependant and definately equal or superior to a lot of guys, it changes peoples outlook, makes them more real and aware of their capabilities. You have to be a fighter and a survivor to live up there, anybody can live in a city, its keeping a house from freezing in -50 temps, keeping the vehicles in prime condition, and keeping yourself mentally and physically strong.
uhh sorry about the soapboxing....later folks!
