Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

We haven't been able to find a house we like so we have decided to build. It's exciting but also a little anxiety-provoking. He wants me to pick the lot this weekend. Any ideas on how to pick a lot?!?

How exciting!!! I bet the prices are good in your area too.
Lots.....pick one that backs up to a preserve or a lake.

PW- Have the health issues resolved?

TB- I'm glad you're leaving. Rita is looking bad. Reminding me of Katrina. Pressure is dropping like a rock.

I'm actually scared now. I was planning on leaving tomorrow night but DF really wants me to leave before then. I have work to do! Hopefully the Houston mayor will announce evacuations today so I won't have to worry about it. I have a dear friend who lost everything to Katrina so I am thinking through what I will take with me in my car.

I went to the grocery store last night and not a single bottle of water to be found. And there was a wait at a huge gas station at 10:30 last night. At least people are taking this seriously.

SSB...So glad you had a "fantistico" time in Toronto! :) In CT this week? At least it's not January with SNOW! :cold: You're just one of those people that can have a great time no matter where they are. :)

Legs...I'm sure your testing will turn out okay. I'll say a prayer for it!

TB!...Hope that by now you are well away from that hurricane!!! Will keep you in prayers and hope everything turns out fine. You also I have no doubt did great on your testing. Waiting is the hard part for sure. Health stuff here? Nothing new to report. Had a blood test a couple weeks ago. Doc said have the next one done in a month, so I keep up the killer doses of Coumadin. She had told me that the body will work on getting rid of the clot, Coumadin is just to prevent others from forming. Sure makes me wonder why they don't keep an eye on what's there! :faint: It's nerve wracking.

Any exciting plans for the weekend, anyone?

What class is that, Suzanne? Should be good hopefully. Today I took the vehicle in for an oil change. Actually took an algebra book with me to begin reviewing and getting back in the swing. Math is NOT my thing and will kill me in the process! Thinking about signing up for just an algebra class once I'm back in the swing. Working full time and a math course is enough for me. Ha ha! Once math is over, take a couple I guess. See how it goes any way. I'll probably be 90 when I finally get that degree. :faint:

Thanks for thinking about me. I almost feel bad for being so thankful that we were spared the worst of the storm.

I passed my exam! :cool1: Sending some :wizard: out your way Legs! I know how tough the wait is.

Continued :grouphug: Sandy. I bet you can't wait for this to be over.

FM, I hope your class is going well.

Anyone heard from BB lately? BB!

Congrats TB! I hope my results will be the same :flower:

Glad the storm missed you.

I am flying to Atlanta on Friday for work and will be there the weekend. Usually I only connect in Atlanta.....never stay.
But I am staying in a swanky hotel and will get to see a friend of mine that moved to Atlanta. So I will have some fun too. I always manage to squeeze in some fun. :sunny:

I think life is moving way too fast. The minute hand is moving like a second hand! Work just flies by...I am so busy. I love what I am doing. I love being able to provide hope to a patient.

It's GREAT to hear that you're so happy with your new job, Legs! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc That helps a lot.

I'm bored with mine...not enough to keep busy, bosses with lack of communication skills. Them being busy is one thing, but they really need to check their phone messages and e-mails! Caught one boss on the way out the door this afternoon. I asked him if he knew his new location for the meeting he was headed to. He said...no. I told him where the location was changed to. This was after I left him a voice mail message, an e-mail, and put it on his calendar. Yesterday he got out the door to a meeting that also had been changed to a place that's a two minute walk from our office. When I saw his car was gone, I called him on his cell phone. Apparently, he didn't check yesterday either. Oy! LOL! :earboy2: There's talk of someone else in the office job hunting. If she leaves, her job is a possibility.

:wave2:

Nothing new here. Same stuff, different day. Anyone have anything exciting going on?

Enjoy the trip, FF! :cool1:

Cross your fingers. I'm going to apply for two other positions within the company. Drat...the drive is even worse. :faint: I just find Finance COMPLETELY boring!!! I don't know how these people like it. And let's throw in one boss with multiple personalities. Eight months in this one is enough. The other two are identical positions, just two openings...for what I was doing at the hospital in FL for 8 years!

Looks gorgeous out today. A good day for Busch Gardens. Are we going? No! :teeth:

Good luck, PW!

And, had not been around for good while, Congrats to you TB on passing! And... good luck FM with your class... hope a good one!

Kiddos have been doing great, and two ballgames today for SSB. Had really nice date at F&W Festival few days ago with very great lady met through friends... and had lunch yesterday downtown. She has three daugthers about the age of my kiddos, which was why friend thought similar, which is kind of wild. Most positive that I have felt post-drama times... so a good thing for that, no matter what.

Thank you both! I'm crossing my fingers. I completed the online applications yesterday, so now I wait...for now. ;)

Good to hear about your fun with the kiddos, SSB...and the good date! :teeth: Good luck with it!

We've been a tad busy around here. Brianna and I headed to MNSHP last weekend and had a blast. She rode up front in the monorail when one of the cm overheard Brianna asking about it. She was thrilled. We stayed till midnight and Brianna even rode Space Mountain for the first time. Had to drag her off of it! We stayed at the Hilton in DTD and loved it!

Had an exciting week too. We were rudely awaken this past Monday at midnight with our fire alarm in the apartment complex (just our building) going off. There was a fire in one of the apartments, so everyone got to see me in my Eeyore pjs. Didn't sleep much that night b/c had to coax DD back to sleep. Come home Tuesday early for a Doc's appointment and my security alarm had gone off. Called security people and they had dispatched the police, b/c the apartment complex didn't know what was going on. Talked to the people later and they didn't make the connection with the pest people spraying the apartments that day to them setting off the alarm. Come home Friday at normal time and security alarm had gone off again. This time the apartment complex said it was maintence, but there was no note or anything saying they had been in my apartment. So I had to talk to them again. Told them it would have been nice for them to have left a note as they had in the past. The problem is that the apartment complex had been sold since I've moved in and they are currently selling the apartments as condos. They are trying to sell my apartment which is 2 bedrooms, one bath and just 982 sq feet for $164,900. I don't think so. I did find out I could get out of my lease with just a 30 day notice which is beginning to look better and better especially after this week.

PW how is the new job search going?

TB...getting wedding plans together yet?

Leggs how's life going? Hope it's slowed down a bit?

SSB Hope it works out with you and the new lady in your life!
