Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

FLM- Sounds crazy at your place! Did everyone like your PJs?
That sounds like a lot of $ for that place but here it is about $40,000 more for about 100 more sq ft.!!!

Here we are going through Wilma weather. Many red cells are hitting us here and we've had numerous tornado warnings. Didn't board up so it's great to get to see the weather outside. Schools are closed today and work is also closed.
I'm so glad I moved out of Palm Beach county since the eye went right through there!

Been spending some time with a single dad in my development who has a dd a year older than my dd and they look like they could be sisters. He's a really nice guy. Don't know if it will develop into anything. We have so many similarities....it's wild.

Good luck with the job PW!

Good luck with the new lady!

Suzanne, those alarm stories are too much! :earseek: The courtesy of a note would be a bit calming as well as a good gesture. Can't believe the price they're trying to sell those apartments for! :faint: As a matter of fact, my next door neighbor just listed her home a couple days ago. These are considered condos, because of the regulations I suppose, but they more like townhouses...two floors, two bedrooms and a loft. She's listed at $185,900. I forget how many feet these are, but quite a bit more than yours. WOW! Talk about inflated prices. Good luck! Hope it turns out well for you either way...staying or moving again.

Just had a call today to schedule testing. The recruiter said even though I had testing in January, it needs to be current within six months. Why is this? I'm applying for a position I held in FL for 8.5 years! And lets not forget the 8 months I'm working for this company. I use these programs on a daily basis. Do they think I've forgotten how to use them? :faint: So I'll go for testing on Wednesday morning before I go into the office. Like missing time at work for the interview alone isn't enough, let's add this to it. :scared: So, it's moving along! :teeth:

Congrats on spending time with the single dad who has things in common, Legs! :cool1: Enjoy the time with him and his daughter.

The eye went through Palm Beach County? :listen: I e-mailed a friend at the hospital in Boca a few times today. I haven't gotten an answer from her as of yet. Now I know why. I was wondering if she was even in the office today. Now I'm really curious. I should try calling them.

Thanks for the luck!!!!! :wizard:

The eye was so large it covered all of PBC. My xh was surprised by how strong the storm was. He didn't cover his windows but he was wishin' he did.

Thanks for well wishes, Suzanne! Met with Trina's daughters tonight (after with parents over weekend) and great fun.

Hope that all did OK with the storm today. Was wild to see the "FULL" signs when driving into work today as the parks closed, and then to see the SUN shining in the early afternoon... it surely did scream by, didn't it?

Hope all well, and wish the best for everyone!

We must have just had outskirts of the bands yesterday. It was windy and rainy all day. On the drive home, there was lots of stuff from the foliage on the highways. But the thing that got me was the bridge-tunnel! The waves were a bit much for me. I saw them touching the under parts of the bridge headed in the opposite direction. I couldn't wait to get back on land. A normal drive home is 45 minutes to an hour. Last night was an hour and a half. Glad that thing has moved! We saw some sun this afternoon.

Hurricane didn't touch us at all...just some wind and that was it. Brianna has been extremly ill and actually was out of school all of last week. She scared the dickens out of me last week to say the least. She is getting better and sees the doctor again this Friday. If it's not one thing it's been another lately around here.

Yikes.... very sorry to hear that, Suzanne! Very scary stuff, I am sure. I hope that she continues to do much better... please sendeth my (and the kids) regards and well wishes to Brianna.

So sorry to hear that, Suzanne. :( I hope Brianna is 100% soon! That stuff is very scary. Hope you're feeling better, too.

Glad you weren't affected too much by the hurricane. I'm being told by friends in Palm Beach County how it's still not any where near being back to normal there. Today they said I wouldn't even recognize it as FL.

FLM- Glad to hear Bri is getting better. Do they know what it was? They just had a GI bug go through the schools here.

We just missed one day of work and school here due to Wilma. No loss of power.
I know southern PBC got hit pretty hard.

Things have progressed with the single dad ;) Sure has been fun. We're both taking Friday off and taking the kids to Disney. He's a passholder too!

Yeehaw, Legs! That sounds like fun. SSB, glad to hear you have had some nice company lately too.

FM, I hope Brianna will be completely well in no time.

Sandy, we were in Virginia this week. I love Charlottesville - such a beautiful area and the trees were amazing. Hope things are going well with the job search.

Life is crazy busy right now. We found a house we like and are closing on it next week. No luck in the job department yet but the wedding is set for March 25th!

We went to visit DHtb's family in New Jersey. They took me shopping for Indian clothes - which is an Indian wedding tradition. Quite an experience but I love what they bought me. Now I'm ready for a trip to India. ;)

That is just TOO wild, TB... way cool!!!

Er, um... did you see "Monsoon Wedding"? :)

I did see the movie after you recommended it...fascinating! I almost feel a little bad that I will have all these beautiful clothes and not many places to wear them too. His mom even gave me one of her wedding saris which blew me away. She was so tiny at the time they are having to make me a blouse to go with it.

For the wedding I plan to wear a simple American gown. The store in NJ is making a scarf to go with my dress - in a traditional Indian red color. The lady looked at me like I was crazy when I told her the dimensions I wanted it in - half the width and a yard shorter than a traditional choli(?). I think it will be just what I was looking for though! :)

Love it!

You KNOW, that you have to send us pictures at some point... :)

So very happy to hear all going so well, my great friend.

TigerBear...Congrats on the plans coming together! Sounds like a bunch of fun.

I had an interview today for a job with the same company I'm working for. It went well! We talked and talked and talked and talked...just over 2 hours! :teeth: So I'm crossing my fingers that I hear GREAT NEWS next week! :teeth:

I'm off to the wedding. Bri's doing better and just needs to go for an x-ray in two weeks to make sure her lungs are clear.

TB...sounds like the wedding plans are falling into place. Very exciting!

PW keeping fingers crossed for the new job.

TB- Sounds great! Must see a photo.

PW- 2 hours! Sounds promising. Good luck!

FLM- Have fun at the wedding. Glad Bri is better.

Took the day off work yesterday and went to Epcot Food & Wine with single dad, his dd, and my dd. We had such a great time! And the weather was so beautiful.

Glad you had fun Legs....I missed the Food and Wine Festival this year for the first time in many years. Wedding is over. I'm happy about that. Had a tad too much to drink yesterday and into the night, so I did have fun.

Getting ready to move again. My place is just too empty around me with noone moving n and everyone movng out. So I'm looking at moving next month durning the x-mas break. Hope tht everything falls into place.

FLM- glad you had fun. Hope you find a better place to live where you can stay a while. Moving is so stressful.
I tried escargot for the first time in my life in France (Epcot). I had to pretend I was eating a mushroom.
