Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

And your problem is??? :earboy2: Dr. Gray of Mars and Venus fame actually believes women should "date around but not sleep around". How far are you from Canada? I know, I know you like a little distance. ;) :) I am glad you are having fun!! :cool1: Just remember that in person people can be very different than how they portray themselves on the net or phone.

Indian food is very spicy. I love spicy food - I even listed it as one of the things I can't live without on my eharmony profile. I think Thai is my favorite. :)

he he...well, my problem is that I've never dated more than one guy, I just feel that's not fair to either of them, I don't want to "lead" anyone on, if you know what I mean. And it's hard to decide. Like I said, I'm leaning more towards Canada guy (6 hour drive, btw, 1 hour flight from Detroit ;) ) but I wonder if that's because he's a lot like my ex? We've even talked about me going to visit him. I dunno....still confused. :/ The other thing about Canada guy is that he may be moving back to the States soon, but if he does, it may be South Carolina! And that's even further away from me. I don't think I want to begin anything that won't last more than a few months. Ugh. Men.

I wonder how many times that has been said by one of us here? :earboy2: (SSB is of course excluded! :flower: ). How long were you with your ex? After a relationship has ended I don't think it is a bad thing to get out there and just meet people. To learn a little more about yourself and what you are searching for in a relationship. I don't think most people would see that as leading anybody on as long as you are honest and open about it. The distance factor definitely may make that more challenging for you. My first meetings with guys on the net never lasted more than an hour or so. That may be a little harder for you to do if you are interested in a LDR.

That's awesome, PW! I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you. When will you find out if your DS is accepted?
Thanks! I don't know yet. I was planning on calling them during lunch today. Didn't work out so will call them tomorrow to see if they even have an opening for 7th next year.

Suzanne and Deb...Thanks! :)

Deb...You listed on your profile that you can't live without spicy food? :scratchin Hmmmmmmmmmmm...maybe I should put down that I can't live without a guy 6' or taller! :teeth: I had a new match yesterday. The guy admits to being 5' 4". What is he really? 4' 9"? Closed that one fast.

Have fun, Bea! You're not getting married just yet, right? ;)

Too funny, my friend! :)

Good to see that everyone doing pretty well... SSB has not been around much... a combination of busy times at work, and had friends in from DC who I was able to spend time with, and the kiddos again over the weekend. Also, some interesting times/feelings in personal world, also a part.

Hope that all are having a great week! :)

PS: Thai food is the BEST!

Ha, ha, ha!! I'm sorry, PW, but that is so funny.

TB~I was with my ex for over 2 years. I've never casually dated, always had a steady BF and they were all long~term relationships.

Okay, okay...well, my friends at school really reamed me out today cuz I told them that I wasn't into "dating" a couple of guys at once, and they pretty much said what you said, TigerBear...so I think I'm going to tell the guy that lives 3 hours away that I've changed my mind and will go on a date with him. So, if and when it happens, I'll let you all know!

PW~Ha, ha! Nope, no wedding bells! I think that's the thing. This guy that lives 3 hours away from me, 1. is close enough for me to see a lot, 2. is very stable and secure, 3. is a really nice guy. So, I think I'm scared off by that. Not that the other guy is bad, but he is 1.younger (but I like younger guys, the other is 4 years older than me), 2.lives 6 hours away from me, 3.living with a roommate and currently between jobs~he's looking for another and left his other one for a good reason~no, he's not a bum! I don't know...I have a bigger connection with the younger guy. I'm hoping that when I do go out on a date with the older guy that he will find he's not that interested in me, that will make it so much easier!!

I close tomorrow at 4:00 pm!
I'll move the smaller stuff this weekend from where I'm staying now. But the big stuff from the storage unit will be moved by the movers I hired on March 26. So I don't plan on sleeping there until March 26 when the beds arrive.

I have a possible date! My real estate agent is setting me up with a guy she sold a house to. He is interested. I told her it was ok to give him my number/email. The ball is in his court.

That is wonderful Legs!! :cool1: I hope you love your new place. What an interesting way to meet a man! :smooth: I hope you hear from him.

BB, hope you are still having fun. I think you just need to do what feels the most comfortable to you. So you like younger guys? My guy is 3.5 years younger than me. I think it is more an issue with me than him! He is the age of my "baby cousin". :bitelip:

SSB, glad things are going well in your world!

Sandy, hope some tall guys come your way soon!

 FM!

:cool1: Woo hoo! I'm excited for you, Legs! Keep us updated about this guy!

SSB~Keeping busy, huh? Good luck with the other stuff! ;)

TB~Well, I had written an email to the guy that lives 3 hours away about how I was feeling, and he hasn't talked to me since! So, well, I guess I'll just keep moving forward with the guy in Canada. Ha, ha...yes, younger :bitelip: guys! This one is the same age as my ex, 4.5 years younger than me! We're getting to know each other, talking about meeting maybe next month.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!!

Did you tell him you weren't interested and then changed your mind? I did that once and didn't hear back either.

He just called me! He lives about an hour away right now and will be moving to my town (where I just bought) in a couple of weeks. He mentioned getting together for lunch so we plan on getting together sometime in the near future. (And he is as tall as I am...found that out from my realtor). He is going to email me a photo of him so I know who I am talking to.

Legs!!! I'm so excited for you! That's great news! Keep us updated!

TB~I told him that I did like him, but that I'm really interested in another guy. And I told him that I really wish I knew that he was interested in me before I met this other guy, because I wasn't sure, and just kind of figured he wasn't interested and moved on. I also told him that I would like to keep talking to him, but would understand if he didn't because I had a feeling I would be talking to this other guy more, and him less. So, I haven't heard from him since.

Congrats on closing, Legs! And I hope the move in went well. :Pinkbounc And a date through the realtor! LOLOL! That's too much. Maybe it will work better than eHarmony. :)

Bea...Have fun with them! :) I'm going back to hibernating from even looking.

Hi Everyone! Legs, have you seen his pic yet? BB, did you ever hear from that guy? Sandy, hang in there...maybe you will hear back from your realtor. ;) Hibernating may be good - don't people tend to say you will find him when you aren't looking.

I am so glad this week is Spring Break. I have so much left to organize in my apartment. Tonight we are going to see the Crucible peformed at the Alley theater. We are eating afterwards - its amazing to me how few restaurants are open late in Houston. Back to the Grand Lux it will be!

Hiya, guys!!
Sandy~ Hang in there, it will happen when you least expect it, and I hope the guy is 6' 6"!!
Guess what?? I heard back from him! And we set up a date in a couple of weeks...unfortunately between school and work and my DD, that was the only open time. So, I'll let you all know how it turned out!

BTW, Sandy~Has your son been accepted at the other school?

Hope it's a nice time, TB! :)

Have fun, Bea. :) Let us know how it turns out. (My subconscious must be working. I accidentaly typed "hot" rather than "how." LOL! )

I can tell you the old you'll find him when you're not looking is an old wives tale! ;) For years I wasn't looking, and I didn't run into him. (Or maybe I DID run into him, but he doesn't realize it!) :scratchin :scratchin :scratchin :lovestruc :faint:

Yes, DS will start at the other school next year. He may as well finish the year where he is. I think we'll both miss him coming home on the bus and taking the pups out. :( The pups will miss it also. They'll be confined to the kitchen
:( provided they don't jump the gate. So we're excited about the new school. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Ahh, I didn't even tell you my story. This last week has been hard on Mr. Tramp. After cracking a window (which already had a small hole in it) I confined both of them in the bedroom with a gate. He freaked, anxious boy that he is, and ate some carpet. So the next day I put him in the kitchen with two gates...the top of which reached my chin. When I got home that day he was in the livingroom and the gates were still in place. :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: I couldn't believe it. He must have some how climbed them or was able to jump onto the counter. He is not that big - 42 pounds or so. DBF has been calling him Trampoline!

I'm glad the school situation worked out!

PW~I'm so glad your son is going to a new school next year! I hope you have better luck with this one. Ha, ha, ha..."hot", huh? ;)

TB~Awww...I'm sending PD your way so that Mr. Tramp adjusts to the new home quickly!

ROFLMAO!  That's hilarious, TB! Thanks for the laugh.

So where are the decent men? They're not at church, they're not in the military, they're not at work. Under a rock? :(
