Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

Went to the Aquraium today with Brianna. Saw all the fish and then they have a mini water park outside that she was able to run around and burn off all that energy. Eating left overs for lunch whichis interesting. Interesting sign they had outside..."No Excessive Running"...the blond in me didn't get it. I'm use to NO running. Didn't allow DD to run around anyways. Too wet and dangerous to do that. Since it's so darn hot out might go to the beach or a water park tomorrow. This heat needs to go!

It's progress any way! :)

It hasn't been too bad here. The humidity is back a bit, but it wasn't unbearable.

Got my desk put together today...YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I actually now have the laptop on the desk, sitting in a desk chair typing away. Sooooooooo much better than in a kitchen chair at the counter! LOL! Now I need to get the computer hooked up! :faint: Wonder how much that will cost! :faint: Just bought a new monitor today. I desperately needed that.

Ahh, the joys of video editing. I've got about 10 hours of footage from my trip with the hockey team, I need to get it down to a 60 minute (max) video, and I've got about 1 minute of "final" footage done so far. I just need to spend some time and actually get this done, so I can stop thinking about it.

Eric:
:) yeah it's great isn't it. You'll have to show me some of your work when we are in Florida. Are you ready? Do you realize it is only 2 months away?? Are you bringing your computer? PM me a list of things you are bringing. (If you don't mind)

:hyper:

The aquarium! That's a great idea! I probably haven't been to one since I was a kid. Thanks for the idea, Suzanne. ;) Maybe this weekend...if the weather improves. It just started pouring. There's a tornado warning for areas southeast of us. :scared1: :scared1: At least here on the radio they tell you what to do. They sure didn't do that in FL where I lived. Of course, they first mention the basement. Okay...we're still at sea level and don't have basements. :scared1: We would be the lower level interior closet/bathroom thing.

This morning I told DS that he could stay home from day care if he wanted to. He said...Nooooooooooo! :) I guess that's a good sign! LOL! Yeaaaa! Day care seems to be going better than school was.

Had the desk put together yesterday. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc It's great to sit here rather than at the kitchen counter. I can see this will be my new home. :teeth: I'm turning the loft into my office. :) I have a view out the window and can also look down. Pretty nice! I really do like this place. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Anyone have interesting plans for the weekend?

Where is everybody?

Congrats PW on putting your desk together. It takes me forever to put that type of stuff together.

Decided at the very last minute this afternoon to go to Epcot. WEnt to the library, came home, got passes and left. Remembered on the way that I really didn't do my hair (had just pulled it back) and no make-up. Got to Epcot and mother nature was putting on a fireworks show. People were running out of Epcot while Brianna and I were manuevering our way in. Went on Spaceship Earth and were stuck on it. It really really stopped. When we were finally released from Spaceship Earth, we decided to head over to Boardwalk for dinner since it looked like a downpour was about to occur. Went to Spoodles which holds a special place in my heart. Had Grouper cheeks and then this wonderful banana cheesecake desert. I almost ordered a second one it was sooooo good. Then we headed home b/c we got all wet. We sang sappy love songs off the radio on the way home. We had a ball. Plus it tired Brianna out which she needed.

I don't know, Suzanne. I've been thinking everyone has lives while I'm sitting here bored online. Thought of Legs when I was out today and saw a Sanibel bumper sticker on a van. I hope she has great weather!!

Sounds like you and Brianna had a great day! So tell us...why is Spoodles so special? :)

Oh, don't give me too much credit. LOL! I had two guys from Best Buy here to put the desk together. I don't have the patience for it. We went to the mall today. I went in there looking for a couple lamps...one floor and one desk. Why is it so difficult to find nice black wrought iron lamps when I want them? I have a few table lamps...black wroght iron...that I found in Burdines quite a while ago. Hmmm...Maybe I'll try online! Ended up buying other things. Found a Seraphim Angel usually $65 on sale for half price! Couldn't pass that up of course. LOL! Had to go to Bath & Body Works sale...AGAIN! Then to Hallmark for "a" card. Right! LOLOL! It's been a really long day for some reason. But I think on Monday when DS is in day care, I'm headed to the movies to see The Notebook. Haven't read the book, and the movie sounds really good. A good tear jerker. LOL! ;)

My honey took my to Spoodles. :)

I've been busy reading. It's so darn hot out to do anything else lately. Just finished this short series of mystery books that take place in Africa. My goal this summer was to read what was on the New York Times fiction list. Then I found a website this gives a list of a ton of good books. So I have lots and lots of library books checked out. The people at the library have gotten to know me very well. What I love about this library system is that I can go online and hold a book and I don't have to search for it. If it's checked out, they transfer it from another library. Doing a lot of reading to Brianna also. She's also into doing arts and craft stuff this summer. Half the stuff she makes up on her own. What an imagination she has.

That was a great deal on the Seraphin Angels. I use to buy my mom those all the time. I know when I have money and need to buy something, I can never find it. But when I don't have any money, that's when I find everything.

I always buy books which makes it a pretty expensive hobby. FM, I think you have just inspired me to start going to the library!

PW, I hope you enjoy The Notebook. It is quite sappy, but DBF and I both enjoyed it. I was actually surprised he liked it as much as he did. :D

I hope Legs is having fun! Can't wait to hear how her date with HG turned out.

We went to see Michael Moore's movie last night. It definitely tugs at you emotionally, even if it didn't present many facts. I think it is definitely worth seeing. It really makes you question our motives for being in Iraq right now. Many soldiers in the movie were even questioning it - and to me they should have the loudest voice.

I gained half a pound this week. How can you exercise everyday and gain half a pound? DBF is now ahead by 1.5 pounds, but I'm not giving up!

I should read! I'm DISing way too much. LOL! It's great that Brianna is so creative...with an imagination! :) And I should really get to the YMCA. DS is asking, and we should go. These lazy days of summer just won't do!

I've been thinking about the angels as Christmas gifts. Hmmm...really should do it while they are on sale. I'll have to put on my thinking cap to see who would like one. I remember giving one to my former boss a few years back. She LOVED it! However, she's no longer a concern for a gift. LOL! Although her birthday is on Tuesday. Hmmm...still remember that. DHT's birthday is tomorrow. We will finally be the same age again. :) LOL! Can you tell I'm bored? I need something to do.

I've been going to B&N too much myself lately. Bought a few books, haven't started any of them.

Glad you liked The Notebook. That's encouraging!

I'm looking forward to Legs' date report also!! HOPE YOU'RE HAVING A GREAT TIME, LEGS!!! ;)

Gained half a pound? It must be muscle! :Pinkbounc

Going to bookstores are way to dangerous for my checkbook. I can never leave without spending less then a 100 bucks. And the sad thing is I usually only read the book once anyways. So I decided to give the library a try this summer. So far so good.

Christmas shopping. I don't even want to think about that yet!

Hope Legs date went well!

Yes, bookstores are expensive! And let's add in the $3.90 for a latte! I'm glad I have a membership card just for the lattes alone. LOL!

I didn't want to think of Christmas shopping either. I was in Hallmark to get a graduation card for my nephew. I couldn't believe they had Christmas wrapping paper out already. And it was 50% off! But I just can't buy Christmas stuff in June. Bought a Yankee Candle for the kitchen...Buttercream. It smells GREAT, but with this home being a bit smaller than the last, I can smell it through the entire house. Hmmm...I like buttercream, but it seems a little too strong. I still like my PartyLite candles the best. Then it was on to the store with the angels on sale. Hmmm...that really put the Christmas shopping bug in mind. But I still don't want to think about it. LOL!

Vanilla cookie is my favorite YC scent. I have two burning right now, one in the family room and one in the bedroom.

I had an old vanilla Old Yankee candle burning the other day and the glass cracked all around the top. I thought I heard glass cracking, but couldn't find the source. Did when I blew the candle out. Was very weird.

PW, I'm really happy for you!! ::yes:: It sounds like the move was a good thing for you! And I'm glad your son likes his daycare too.
Both you and FM seem to be having fun with your kiddos this summer. :D

It's nice to have the summers out. Gets me in a good frame of mind for the fall.

Just came back from the grocery store. I didn't realize how dangerous of a "cart driver" I was. It looked like I was running people over, but I promise I wasn't. The cart had a mind of it's own. The employees were really trying to help me out to the car when I checked out. There must have been at least three employees that asked me if they could help me. I did buy some wine for my cruise. Bought the little bottles with the screw. Wanted that since I was the only one drinking this time. Usually don't bring anything to drink, but we have a verendah this time and I plan on enjoying it some. Don't see me drinking a whole bottle by myself. That wouldn't be too good!

Wow! That's not good. Seems they should be replacing that.

Thanks! ;) I think it's the best move I've made. It was definitely time for a change, and this is a great area to be in. If I can get past the *ugh!* job hunting, I'd be great!! Of course, I need to look a lot more seriously than I have so far. I've been having too much fun to look! :teeth:

Had DS start working on math today. He's less than thrilled. But he needs the practice. Much tougher than what he had in FL. So far, so good. :)

This afternoon I crashed on the sofa. Had to take a nap. LOL! Still feel tired...bummer. I'm sure I'll wake up around 10 p.m. as usual. ;)
