I need to be much more cost effective in my Sept trip, so I figure I can cut costs by:

1. Getting rid of deluxe dining (cause they quoted me the wrong price initially calling my DD9 when she is but will be 10 on this trip, and yes I told them I wanted a price for a ten year old, and no they wouldn't compensate me for thier mistake).

2. Getting rid of park hoppers

Because of #2 I want to see about changing dates (I think it might be best to avoid the food and wine fest), and I realize availability may be an issue, but I wondered if anyone has changed their dates recently?

I wonder how much flack I might get for changing so much all at once. What do you think?

It is worth a try. At the least, you're going to have to get your daughter's age correct. Good luck.

I did get her age corrected, that is how the price shot up! I know I need to look at trying, my other question is, if we win the lottery and can do deluxe dining or park hoppers, could we add them back in if we wanted?

I would think you are far enough out that you could do so without penalty but I am not a 100%. I have done both and frankly the deluxe dining plan is way too much food. My kids are used to cereal and yogurt in the morning b/c I am not a morning person and hot breakfast is too much work. ;) I would try to downgrade the dining and see where it stands.

I hear you! I am a sucker for all inclusive and not having to bring alot of money, but when you do the math, with free dining, and three "adults" and one child we are looking at 100 dollars a day for the deluxe, with the discount, we could do the "additional meal" out of pocket for under 100 dollars at every place we can think of other than Le Cellier. We will just use the plan for that.

Besides, the table service three times a day is too much time taken out! Even twice a day seems like too much! We almost never use the mugs except at home either.

I did not try to change dates, but I tried to change resorts (going 8/30-9/7) and was told there was no resort with availability. So as of now we are staying at ASMusic.
