Ok Who is up for a 6 week challenge?

Well I did drink my water yesteday and I recorded my points. Not the best day overall. Lunch didn't agree with me and I had an upset stomach for most of the afternoon/evening so really didn't get my exercise in.

Feel much better today and I've already started on my water and have my points logged in for the day (breakfast already done and lunch packed).

Hi all, you are so inspiring. I feel guiltly that my excercise program is not starting off so well. DH and I are just beginning the ketosis stage of Atkins and we are feeling pretty weak overall. This happened when we did Atkins before and it passed after a few days, so we are patiently waiting for our energy to spike. I am also fighting what I am now thinking might be a sinus infection. I am doing the great do I go to the Doctor or not debate. We are sticking to induction to a T and drinking all of our water so overall I guess we're doing well. We are even eating breakfast and neither of us usually eat in the am. Keep up the good work and keep inspiring me.
 
Did ok yesterday. That headache I had got worse instead of better. I ate ok and I got my water in. I am hoping to do my one mile tape today. I just want to say, I HATE TOM!:mad: Sorry, I am just tired of having to feel like crap once a month and this month it is worse than usual. Well I'm done venting! Have a good day everyone!:D
 
I love reading everyone's progress - it is so encouraging to me. Keep up the good work guys!!!! :)

Yesterday I ate on plan and did my FIRM work out and even did some real "boy" push ups. I'm very proud of that! I also skipped the Carb Options ice cream treat that is in the freezer and had a no sugar added fudgesicle instead. Also, DH and I were at McD's last night getting dinner for DS and the nice drive thru guy tried to give us two strawberry sundaes for free. I guess he made them for someone else and they didn't want them so he was trying to be nice. We thanked him and DH drove away so fast, I think we burned rubber!! :)

I'm off to a fairly good start today but I could drink more water and I was so tired I ended up making today my rest day from exercise for the week.

I haven't checked in since signing up. I haven't lost and I haven't gained. I've had good and bad moments. But, lately I am having a hard time controlling the after work munchies. Any suggestions? I have 4 kids and keep a lot of snacks in the house -
 
walked over 18,000 steps today - 1/2hr was from an outside walk
did my grocery shopping- restocked fruits & veggies
made it through the day - mood swings and all
 
Hi, everyone! Just checking in. I have been doing excellent. I done the treadmill this morning for about 30 minutes. This evening I felt good, so I went for a walk for about 45 minutes. :-) I've been drinking my water and eating a lo-fat diet. :-) I am so motivated! Usually by now I'd be ready to jump off the program. Thanks everyone for your continuted suport. Thank goodness for WISH. I won't be around from Friday afternoon 'til Sunday sometime. We are going camping. I plan on going several walks a day with my kids. :) Have a Happy Easter everyone! :)
 
Logged all my points today and stayed within my point range!

Drank my water!

Did 20 minutes of WATP (was trying for the 2 mile, but just couldn't make it yet).

Also I helped out 2 people at work today - little things but it made me feel good. Especially since one of them is one is a hard one to help.

So all in all a very good day!
 
Check in for today. Did not eat the home made chocolate Easter eggs at our inservice at work today, drank all my water, and only ate half of my eggplant parmesian for dinner.:D
 
Checking in for yesterday (Wed). I did quite well with my eating. I ate reasonable portions, no snacking, and no desserts. Unfortunately, I didn't get my exercising in like I should have. :( I'm bummed out about that, but will do some extra walking at lunch today to make up for it.

THURSDAY check in and weigh in day (for me)
Well, the weekend did affect me, I have gained two pounds this week. It's also almost my TOM so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it too. Boo Hoo! BUT I am not going to let it bum me out or ruin my motivation. I am just going to keep at it.

Even though I ate the movie popcorn, I did count every unhealthy point that I ate and I was still within my points range including my flex points. I didn't get as many activity points as I should have and I KNOW that I have to improve in that area. I did drink my water every day though, I've also started adding lemon juice to my daytime water as a diuretic (sp?).

Anyway, that's my story, I am open to constructive criticism and advice if anyone has any for me. This is the first time in nine weeks that I have gained. I am trying really hard to keep a positive attitude but I am disappointed in myself. I guess I'll have to stay away from the movie theatre if I can't so NO to the popcorn huh? My willpower becomes very weak at the first whiff of that stuff. If I even walk by the theatre, my tummy starts to growl.

Checking in for yesterday. I got in all my water and I was able to get in a twenty minute walk. I took my son outside to play and it was beautiful outside. I am hoping to get back to my WATP tape today. I am feeling much better today, than I have been the last few days. Good luck today everyone!:D

How is everyone doing?

I went to the doc yesterday and they put me on a few things to try to balance out the moods and such so hopefully I can get rid of the anxiety and the depression.

Anyway, while I was there I hopped on the scale and I lost 4POUNDS last week!! wohooooooooooo


so Im feeling pretty good.

Didnt enter in to fitday yesterday ( bad me) partially due to guilt ( I was PMSing and snacked a lot... good snacks, but snacks nonetheless.)

anyway today is a new day I will enter my bagel into fitday as well as my 2 cups of coffee.

How are YOU doing today?
 
Checking in for yesterday and today.

Yesterday went well atkins wise. I stayed well within my induction carb limit and didn't even cheat when I made brownies for my kids (pat myself of the back as I didn't even lick the spoon). My husband did very well as his work had a free lunch for everyone with lots of high carb foods. He drank a diet coke and came home to a low carb lunch. kodos for him. I talked to my doctor about having a possible sinus infection. It appears that I did have one, but it is clearing up on its own so I should be feeling better in a couple of days. I have already drank 51 of my 60 ounces of water today and it's only 1 pm! I had a couple of slices of ham and cheese for breakfast and some chicken salad with a pickle for lunch so now only dinner to worry about. Hopefully I'll get a walk or bike ride in tonight with my kids. Oh yeah I got on the scale yesterday and I have lost 5 lbs. I don't want to count them gone until I'm sure that I don't regain them. Before joining the WISH board I have done a good job with weight loss. I have lost over 30 lbs since last March (2003). It has been a tremendous amount of work and I am now at the lowest weight that I have been at in 9 yrs. I still have about 25 lbs to lose to get back to my pre pregnancy weight, but I think that with perserverence I might actually get there. Did anyone see the Swan on TV last night? I think that I need one of those makeovers they were amazing.

Just one last note. I taught my 16mth old son to do Ring Around The Rosies last night and he made my whole family do it over and over I bet 30 times. I was so cute to watch and a lot of exercise for all of us. Keep up the good work and Keep posting your stories.
 
Wow! Everyone sounds like they are doing really well! Congrats, all!

Yesterday was not my day in the sun...I only got in a 20 minute workout, because I was running late for my dinner date! I tried very hard to be good, but the burger won. I only ate half, though, and half is downstairs in the fridge. I asked the server not to bring any french fries, but...she forgot, so I ate a couple of those darn things! I got the salad bar, which helped curb my appetite.

Now, though, I am considering... Has anybody here ever done the South Beach Diet? I am thinking about it, as everyone says that results are similar to Atkins with a lot more freedom... Please let me know what you think! I really want to kick this weight off!

I ate reasonably all day, but did have 1 small scoop of ice cream this evening after supper. It's the first dessert-type food I've had all week! I walked 2 miles at lunch today and felt GREAT for the rest of the afternoon. I'll most likely go to the Y in the morning because I have the day off (HURRAY!) and DH has a raquetball game scheduled. Figured I might as well get some walking/weight lifting in early. And, I'll weigh on the official scales while I'm there. Here's hoping I'm a loser! ;)
 
I'm checking in for today and yesterday.

I stayed on plan and exercised like I was supposed to. I am resisting the CarbOptions treats but I did buy some no sugar added ice cream which was on sale so I've got to be very careful with it.

Never posted my 3 positives for Thurs
1 - DS made honor roll
2 - DH only needs an upper dental plate so cost is closer to $600 than $2400
3 - went to doc for ultrasound & bloodwork - (at least they have now found the 3 cysts) - took (2) 15min walks - work was actually quiet yesterday so was able to get some work done - sat & read some when i got home

Thursday- I did very well. I drank all my water and I did my walk strong WATP dvd.
Friday- Not so good. I went off plan and no exercise and not enough water. But it was a wonderful day with my family so I'm not too upset.
Today I will be sure to drink my 6 cups of water and some extra to make up for yesterday. I'm going to try to get some exercise in today, but today & tomorrow are extremely busy with Easter activities at home & at church. I am a Sunday School teacher and we do egg dying, crafts, and an Easter egg hunt during Easter weekend. Keep up the great work everyone! Happy Easter to all those who celebrate it! Good luck with staying on plan with all the extra goodies around, I know you can!:D
 
Checking in for the last few days:

I got all my WW nutritional guidelines in, but I slacked off on my exercise on Thurs. I got home from work late and just couldn't work up the energy for some reason. But Friday and Saturday I got right back on track.

I've been reading back over what I missed the last couple of days and it sounds like every one is doing well. Congrats and keep up the good work!

Lisa, I loved that you and DH burned rubber to get away from those McD sundaes!! I would have loved to have seen the drive in guys face!! I'll bet that's the 1st time anyone turned down a free sundae! :rotfl: :rotfl: Way to go!!

Renee, I'm sure that those 2 pounds are due to TOM. Movie popcorn is pretty salty so that also could be the problem. Whichever it is, those 2 pounds will be gone before you know it!!Good for you for not letting it get to you and for keeping at it!!

I will probably not get to check in tomorrow, since it's Easter and we will be visiting family. See you all on Monday!:D
