I posted above about going from an 11 to a 5. We were given the cat 11 room assignment at the port. I was traveling with my sister (who has M.S., wasn't feeling well and was in a wheelchair) and my almost 6 year old daughter. I had all our carryon stuff (for three people), a person in a wheelchair, a cooler for her medicine - and it was just little ole me as the only "responsible one"...LOL I looked a little desperate in the port - asked someone if I could get some help (try pushing a wheelchair with all your carryons - it's pretty difficult) - the Port person (tall blond woman) - came and offered to help us - she asked what room we were in - we showed her the card with the assignment - she said "let me go see if I can do a little better" and she came back with a new room number and said "you have a veranda now - you'll be able to enjoy the air". I didn't know how MANY categories we had been bumped till I consulted the Passporter! The irony of it all is that my sister got sick the first day in Nassau and I had to leave her at the hospital - after undergoing emergency surgery, she was finally flown home by air ambulance two weeks later - so she really didn't get to enjoy the veranda at all! We are definitely hoping to be blessed again, but will be content with whatever we end up with.
