OK - time for a Jan. 2005 thread!

Who else is excited about going in January? We will be there from the 22-29, staying at the Contemporary Resort for the 1st time (a big upgrade from our usual All Star Resort stay), and I can't wait!!!
I'm hoping for CRT reservations but I have to wait until October to make those. I'm also waiting on discount codes, and for Southwest Airlines to accept reservations at the end of Jan.. ARGHH!!! So much waiting!

My daughter and son-in-law-to-be get married on Jan 8 and on Jan 9 they, my sister, my husband and I and his parents are all heading off to WDW. Wierd, but my SIL really wants us to go. I don't need much of an excuse to go!

We have rooms reserved at SOG but we're going to give them up since my sister can reserve three, and we will need four rooms. The "kids" don't care which resort we end up in, as long as it's far from their snowy Wisconsin. (Yeah, they're getting married in Wisconsin in January. Ick.)

Can't wait!!

We will be there (me, DH, DS6 ,DS8) January 21-28 2005!! Staying at ASMo for the first two nights, then moving over to a one bedroom at OKW! Can't wait to have the jacuzzi tub and the washer and dryer!

We have never been in January before, but I am thinking it will be similar to our December trips weather wise, and I hear these days it is less crowded then the beginning of December! YEEHA!!

Jan. 9-15! I think I just posted this on the resorts board, so sorry if anyone sees this twice.

9-11 we are staying at AKL and 12-15 Pop...
BUT, if I get the rates that have been historically shown for January, I am thinking about either upgrading Pop to Coronado or doing one night concierge at AKL so we can do the safari. What would you do??

Very excited about going in January-1/1 at SSR, 1/2-1/6 at BWV. Not only because I'm always excited about going to WDW, but this trip is going to be so special-just me and DS, he's in college and I almost fell over in shock when he accepted my offer to join me on this trip. College-aged boy on trip with Mom? Voluntarily?

No definite plans yet...but we are working on it! Will probably go after the New Year, most likley Jan 3-13. We have gone the past 2 Januarys. Be prepared for anything weather-wise. It is a great time to go, sometimes holiday decorations are still up and the crowds are down. Yay!

We are gooing to BCV the last week in Jan., the 22-29, I can't wait! Like LovesDoomBuggies, am considering a night or two at AKL if the rates are good. Looking forward to the low crowds and am willing to sacrifice some good weather.

Count me in! We go every January ( since 99) and love that time of year. The weather can go either way, but I will take a chilly day in Disney with NO crowds anyday!

We will be there Jan 2-4 after our New Years cruise on Mariner of the Seas. 2nd and last free trip for our now 2.5 yr old who cant wait to get there!

We will be there Dec 30-Jan 6 offsite in our Marriott timeshare and then Jan 8-15 at OKW. Trying to book AKL for the 2 days in between, but may end up at the Dolphin on points.

Jan 25 thru Jan 31 in a 2 bedroom at SSR with my sister, my son, his girlfriend, girlfriends sister and her husband. Can't wait to stay at SSR. My sister and I have a quick trip there in Oct to stay in the studio, but I am really looking forward to seeing the 2 bedroom.

We're really hoping to return at the end of Jan 2005. Probably something like Jan 21 - Jan 30.

We went in Jan 2000 & the weather was great - low 80's & sunny every day, except the last 2 - down into the 50's. Not a single drop of rain the entire trip & crowds were non-existant at the parks. Jan has been one of our favorite times to go to WDW.

We'll be getting AP's in Sept & trying the POP Century for the 1st time. If we really like (like I think we will ) then we'll be back there in Jan, otherwise maybe the SOG. We may spend a few nights with my parents at Ft Wilderness when we meet them down there.
