OK, Now Im Really Ticked!

As many of you know, I havent been to happy with DH the past couple of days. Well, we have been awake for almost 2 hours now, and neither he or the kids have wished me a Happy Birthday yet!

BTW, this is not a shameless ploy to get birthday wishes, so please dont bother. I just needed to vent big time!!!

Same thing happened to me in June. My coworkers cared more at the time.

We had a lot of issues going on at home that made things difficult.

Happy Birthday!!
My last birthday I let everyone know. I even had Chef Mickey's help me celebrate my birthday.
The year before it seemed everyone forgot. I was determined to enjoy my day this past year.

He did forget. I mentioned I needed to go get cards for my Father(its his birthday too) and then he played it real cool and when we finished that conversation he was like "Oh and I meant to say Happy Birthday". Like Im gonna believe that? He did admit he forgot and thought it was tomorrow. That is the stupidest excuse because we bought tickets for Disney on Ice, for today, my birthday, and he knew that, and he knew we were going today.

The best was he said to the kids, "What do you say to Mama?". They both said together "Thank you!". Of course I gave thenm a "your welcome" and went back to yelling at DH.

So, anyone want a ticket to Disney on Ice? I really dont want to be with DH today.

Camcolt, most men forget. Sometimes we do to, but men forget things all the time. It's some kind of genetic tic. lol
Instead of getting upset, remind him. Sing Happy Birthday to yourself when you wake up, remind him that you are seeing Disney on Ice for your birthday that night. Write it on his forehead if neccessary, but remind him.

You will have something to worry about when he doesn't care if it's your birthday or not, or if he does things to make sure it's not a happy one.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Camcolt!! I have been there. My husband thinks that now that we are adults, birthdays and holidays aren't as important. Can't remember the last time I got a gift for my birthday. I use it as a day all for myself. I usually meet someone for lunch, get nails done, do some shopping etc. It's not the same as someone that has gone out of their way to make the day special but at least I don't dwell on being forgotten.
Enjoy your day. Disney on ice is a grea way to spend the day. I'm envious.

I agree that birthdays arent a big deal now being adults(31 isnt a big one). But I at least expected a Happy Birthday from him, or to have him remind the kids to say it....without me having to tell him. If I have to tell him then it means nothing to me.

If it were just the birthday thing, I probably wouldnt care so much, but this is just the icing on the cake this week(actually,this month!) so thats why Im not too happy.
