Ok women, we have found the perfect panty, and it has inspired me to discuss undergarments more. (Monkey boy and Pop daddy something tells me you will show up too, but this isn't for you.) ;) :rolleyes1

Let's talk bra's :thumbsup2
Any other women out who can't stand underwire? I don't know what it is. I even had myself measured at VS and I had to take them back. They actually hurt after wearing them for a few hours. I just can't wear underwire bras. I have never been able to. It is too bad, because after having 2 children and nursing them I could use a bit of extra support and shape. ;)

So am I alone in this? Are they uncomfortable and evil for anyone else? :teeth:

I hate underwire too. There are a lot of nice bras out now that have no underwire but still have the molded cup.

I actually prefer underwire over non-underwire, but that's because I like the extra support they give me. If you're looking for a good non-underwire bra, VS has the Ipex no wire bra. I know it's gotten rave reviews!

Amen to that one!!!!!! The only underwires I found uncomfortable, are from bras that do not fit me right.

I could not imagine getting propper "security" with out it!!!

HAte underwires with a passion. They always poke me.

I haven't found a good bra yet, underwire or no underwire. I've tried so many different types, brands, fittings---at this point, I'd rather run free if I could get away with it. :rotfl:

I'm the opposite. It HAS to be underwire for me or I feel all out of whack!

Not to hijack your thread, but does anyone have a suggestion for a strapless push up bra for someone with a larger chest? I will be in a wedding in Nov. and while I hope they are a bit smaller by then (working on it!), the girls are still going to be needing some major support. So short of using duct tape, I'm not sure where to look for a really good one.

YUP, I am with you on this one!!! :thumbsup2

OP: THE BODY BY VICTORIA...you cannnnNOT go wrong with that one at VS!!!! A little pricey but well worth every cent! I have them in every color and wash them in the gentle cycle and air dry so absolutely NOTHING happens to my BODY by VICTORIA's!!!!!!!!!!

DID I MENTION I NEED UNDERWIRE!!! THERE IS NO DISCUSSION WITH THAT AT ALLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Find a good tailor and get your support installed in your dress. Alternatively, get a corset/flying suit that will smooth your back lines and still give the girls a lift.

Gotta have the underwire. (not saying anything else while that Tag Fairy is loose, though) :p

How large are you looking for? I'm a 32DDD who buys 34DD because they are the closest fit I can find in person... I have some 34DD that fit well, but nothing in that size is a "push up".

If you are a D or below, VS very sexy makes a great bra that comes in both convertable (goes up to DD in that one) and strapless (only a D).

For my strapless the only ones I found that support and work were made by Delicates (find it in all major department stores)

I have been considering ordering one for a while now, but that is a pretty big chunk of change for a bra. They didn't have any at the store I was at the other day. (but know my size so it should fit.) I thought it was I had the wrong size, but even then those things just kill me. I can't even breath after a few hours.

The ones I have now are VS body by Victoria no wire. Not bad.

LadyyRedd, highjack away. After all it is bra talk! :teeth: :lmao:

Underwire. My husband will thank me for it in 20 years. :p

I'm a big fan of underwire. That is, UNTIL they poke through the fabric and gouge me all day. That really chaps my hide. :furious:

I went shopping just last week for bras, and I tried underwire bras AGAIN. And I still can't figure out what the underwire is for :confused3. I think if someone is small enough (like me), the underwire is worse than useless. If I raise my arms, the bra goes with them, if you know what I mean :lmao:.

What does the underwire do, actually, for larger women? I'm serious. How does it function?

Ok, I need very little support. Picture pancakes. But OLD pancakes so I do need a little help. I was desperate the other day while I was shopping at Sam's Club and picked up a two pack of Vanity Fair bras. I REALLY like them! Didn't think I'd like the underwire but these are comfortable! I'm sure they are nothing like VS but I hate to spend that much money on undergarments. Especially when there's nothing to put in them! :sad2:
