!!!Please bring back the Main Stree Magic Shop!!!

I feel better now.

I think.

They still have one at Disneyland.

And while in Orlando, there is a good Magic shop at Old Town on 192.

Hope this helps!

There is a magic shop at DTD in the Westside section. I know it's not the same as being on Main Street.

I miss it also.
Thanks for posting.

While talking about Main Street, I also miss the little theater that played classic Mickey cartoons.

They still have that, its just MOVED.
(I know that the "Main Street Cinema" is now a Pal Mickey store).

The Disney classic Cartoons can now be found in a very nice sit-down theater inside the Town Square Exposition Hall (same building as "Tony's Restaurant is in) across from City Hall near the train station.

Go in past the Kodak photo shop and there's a very nice "meet and greet" area with photo-ops and the theater running cartoons... free to all guests.

Most of us seem to have certain moments that let us know that we are finally there - that we're finally back in the magic.
Well, the Magic Shop was that place for me. As a kid, it was mysterious to me... A "Something Wicked This Way Comes" type of thing.

It was such a contrast to all of the other gift shops. The Happiest Place on Earth had a shop painted black where you could buy glow-in-the-dark skulls! Or otehr weird Halloweenish things. How cool was that? I used to save my money specifically for that place. I don't remember any other place in all the parks where I could have spent more money.

Then it was replaced by the Main Street Athletic Club. I understand that the retail real estate is valuable there. But the Magic Shop wasn't a retail store. It was really an attraction. I wonder how many other attractions could push through the same number of people per square foot as the Magic Shop?

How many golf shirts do we really need?
