ok I think I finally have this right waitlist

I did what was suggested here when I asked and think I finally have it right

first I booked april 1st ---now if the waitlist doesnt come through I need to cancel this by MArch 27 to avoid holding this is right

then I put a april 2 on the waitlist said no to is the waitlist going to replace a booking

what Im trying for is right now were booked april 3 through 10

trying for april 1 through 8

also how will I be notified if the waitlist went through

thanks all again Im sorry for all the many questions we had our trip all booked since last yr--first time as members and then hubby and me both came down with the flu--nasty stuff--

so now were trying to piece together what we had

You will get an email when your waitlist comes through. I recently had two SSR waitlists come through, and the way I happened to find out was actually by going to make a reservation from my availability tool stalking and then noticing I was missing points in my account.

If you haven't already, start checking the availability tool on your own for those single nights you need.

I on the other hand have only once gotten a confirmation when a waitlist filled. It cannot be counted on to receive one. The best way to confirm is just to check the website periodically.

Also, the last date to cancel to keep points out of holding for that April 1st date should be Feb 28th, not March 27th. I think you might be confusing canceling a cash room reservation which needs to be done 5 days ahead of time or you lose your deposit. For DVC you need to cancel 31 days or more in advance for the points to not go into holding.
