Seriously?? Cut offs aren't in style? Since when? My daughter (nine) looks adorable in her cut offs. I cut them myself and sewed a straight seam 1/4 an inch above the cut so that the fray stays short and neat, and I trim any strays after laundering. I can't imagine any type of jean short/pant not being in style. They're JEANS!!!

Yes, jean shorts are really in style for those who are doubting themselves. Here are just 2 styles that Hollister has on their website now.. so I guess those who don't wear them really aren't in style now are they....;)

I say wear them!!! I never knew there was a dress code for Disney.....not after what i seen other people wear to the parks....like P.J.'s and slippers, short shorts that are see thru....boxer shorts......and my all time favorite....People who are XXL and wear tiny tanktops with their stomach hanging over their folded down shorts and showing off that great cottage cheese & stretch mark look!!!!
BUT all the above is way better than the people who keep wearing the same clothes over and over, without washing them or washing themselves:laundy:!! MMMMM...I loves me sum funky body odor!!! :rolleyes1:lmao:

So my opinion is as long as you are dressed decent and you smell good with clean clothes, I don't see what it matters what anyone wears to the park.

LMAO! Sorry about that..........you guys will probably have the last laugh come football season.

Sorry for making fun of the gators. I agree that you guys will probably have the last laugh when football starts.

As far as jorts, while they aren't in style here they could be what is worn where you are. The good thing about WDW is that you get to see a little bit of everything stylewise. I don't mind what anyone wears just so they are long enough to cover everything. And remember those Nike style running shorts for hot, wet days in the park. They can't be beat. They even make them for gators:

...plus, denim is awful when it gets wet on a water ride and you have to walk around in it.

CHAFE! Ouch! :thumbsup2

This thread is also the first I've heard that cut-offs are out of style, but I'm probably the most un-stylish person I know, so :confused3. Hopefully when DD gets a little older I'll be hip again (is saying 'hip' still cool?).

So I guess that we should take fashion advice from the different southern states I see represented here? Um...no.

I think that people should just wear what they're comfortable in. If it's baggy cut-offs with crocs and socks, who cares? ;)

Well, when yer dang POCKETS are longer than your pants, I think there is a problem.

Denim shorts are fine...Daisy DUkes on ANYONE...even a 9-yr old..are not appropriate in my book. The length of yer jorts may be the defining line between 'class' and 'trash'. Sorta like...if they can see yer cooch, then you are a hooch.

And I lived in Texas 30 years and it's true they aren't exactly fashion forward there but appropriately dressed IS a standard there as well.

I was just kidding around.................I honestly don't see a problem with them. The only reason I don't wear them is because they're too hot.

I don't agree with shorts that show all & yea, see yer cooch then you are a hooch. But short shorts can be worn and look nice if you are built for them and they fit you.. fit is the key. Some wear shorts that are too small, so yea, they look like trash. That pertains to long or short shorts. Don't like camels around here .
Here is a pic of my DD with short shorts on & all is covered..nothing showing & they fit her.

I don't wear them either for the same reason but DS likes them. I'm trying to talk him into other materials though.

He actually has some that are similar but I suspect that he thinks he looks nicer in denim shorts.

I need to look at those. On Ebay? I might also check Amazon.

Do you have Ross & TJ Maxx by you? If so, I thought there prices were better than Ebay's.. I know I got my DD the womans version (yes short shorts :lmao:) for only $11 at TJ Maxx about 2 months ago.
