Hi everyone! My house is in need of a good spring cleaning...between all the kids in & out, 2 shedding German Shepherds, and being a bit behind with it I need your best cleaning tips!! What's your favorite cleaning products, do you do all your cleaning at once or a bit each day?? HELP! Thanks!!!!!!!!

Open the windows

Fire up the leafblower

I LOVE my swiffer! I hate to mop, so when the swiffer came along I was in Heaven!

One of the best ways to clean up is to get rid of stuff you don't need. I love getting rid of things! The less you have, the less you have to keep clean! :teeth:

Happy cleaning!

Just a warning tho about that flylady website....you'll never have time to clean after signing up for that since they'll send you a minimum of 50 e-mails per day & you can't get off the computer!!!

I would suggest hit one room at a time. If you can get thru 2 rooms in 1 day doing everything you wanted to do in them, you're ahead of the game!

YES, YES, YES check out fly lady.

She will help you get started and stay on task.

I like the CleanTeam and Clean Team products. I carry my cleaning stuff around in a little elongated thing, I wear an apron with my clean stuff and I start on one side of the room and work around.

Swiffer Duster and Mr. Clean Erasers are God's gift to those who clean!

Keep all your cleaning supplies in a bucket or carry-tote that way you always have everything you need with you.

Bring an empty laundry basket with you from room to room. That way you can toss things the don't belong in that room in the basket and deposit them in the room they belong as you get to it...keeps you from getting distracted by the clutter.

I open all the windows before starting and air the house out at the same time...even in the dead of winter. Close them as needed when you leave the room.

Cleaning things I can't do without -- an old toothbrush (gets into the cracks and crevices around sinks and faucets), comet bathroom cleaner, and ammonia and newspapers (for cleaning the windows...really is the only one that doesn't leave streaks for me and the windows are really sparkly).

We have a cat that sheds black hair everywhere. I just put on a rubber glove and rub the furniture with my hand...gets the hair up easily and quickly.

I do touch ups daily during the week (like sinks, the stovetop, and sweeping and mopping the floors) but tend to put aside 2-3 hours each week to scrub from top to bottom.

Good luck and happy cleaning!!!

What does a swiffer do differently than whatever it replaced?

And make sure these do not get mixed together........comet bathroom cleaner, and ammonia.

I like the smell of Orange Glo (my DH works for Linens n things and they sell it there so it is easy to get too!) Comet and carpet cleaning I mix Oxy clean with the steam cleaner stuff- that I get whatever is on sale! I also like the lysol toilet cleaners for the toilets- esp since DD always forgets to flush. I also like Windex for windows.
