We have only been there in January so it was always pleasant for us. Haven't experienced crazy heat there. Or rain yet.

I haven't stayed at CCV. But over at BRV, it was very quiet both times we stayed there and definitely felt more 'lost in nature.' But there are CCV rooms that don't face the pool that would give that feel a bit more, I think.

that is so gross! We used the Keurig in our room on one day during our last trip because the coffee at Roaring Fork was broken, which made the lines for coffee at the counter insanely long. But typically, I don't use in-room coffee makers for this exact reason.
Your photos are incredible— did you take them? Are you a professional photographer? Disney should hire you for DVC marketing materials.

It’s so funny how that looks like literally anywhere in Oregon…. except the trees aren’t mostly evergreen….. and there are no volcanos off in the horizon….

Amazing that they built it, stunning lobby… but it does absolutely nothing for me….

I'm jealous that you live in a beautiful place. Eastern Nebraska isn't much to look at. šŸ˜†

This reminds me of the time we were in the pool at CCV and my kiddo asked if we could make a quick trip to MK for dole whip…didn’t take much to convince me! Quick boat there and right back to poolside 🤣 I mean with APs, why not??!!

So great. When we were staying at VGC after years off site, it was amazing to grab ice cream at California Adventure and take it back to our room.

Thanks. But nope. Just pictures I snapped on my phone during our last 2 trips. I feel like they get a bit blurry when I upload them here.

My people came from Omaha two generations ago…. so I know there are a lot of good people in Nebraska. Tom Osborne was held in reverence when I was growing up.

BTW, I must complement you on your photography skills here. Those are absolutely beautiful pictures.

It’s amazing they were able to build these beautiful resorts into a Florida swamp. I stumbled upon a YouTube channel that was discussing the history of WDW from a civil engineering perspective. It truly is a marvel.

I'll have to watch that! My oldest son is a civil engineer. I'd love for him and his significant other to join us sometime at WDW.

Back home now. Still snow on the mountains here. So crazy the difference from Florida. I told my husband the DVC resorts in Florida are kind of like how people who live in Chicago live a very different life than those who live in Texas or people that live in Washington live very different than those in Florida. That’s what each DVC resort is like. It’s like a whole different way of living than the next.

Well the husband through me a curve ball on the plane. So I’m still processing. After I get some much needed sleep I will share my thoughts on all the places we visited. I was very close to not going, very happy we did.

Oh man…. a curve ball…. excited to learn more! Glad you both made it home safe!

That boat ride from WL was insanely amazing. How is it earlier in the day say 8am? Do you usually have to wait a long time due to the amount of people that early?
In my experience they run a lot of extra boats in the AM during the rush. It's not bad at all.

One of the most magical/peak Disney experiences I've managed to plan is getting a big batch of the kiddos together and rushing them into the boat for a trip where their crazy uncle (me) was going to buy them all treat at the Poly. I didn't tell them I had other goals too and timed it just right where when we were coming around the bend and over the water bridge that the fireworks for Happily Ever After started. My cool/crazy uncle score shot up even a few extra points. The monorail going buy and all the action. It was great :)

Im going to place my bet on you sticking with CCV šŸ˜€
Ooh, @Sandisw is it against the rules to start a new thread to create a new poll to guess what @VGCgroupie is going to buy next? 🤣

(If Sandi says yes while I’m busy working in the AM, somebody else should feel free to start the thread, no pride of ownership here!)

My vote pre-curveball would have been CCV.

I was going to joke that taking less DVC enthusiast spouse on a DVC-resort warrior weekend fresh off a redeye might mean not buying more points at all— hoping that whatever it is, you’re aligned.

this is incredible— I thought I was getting to black belt level at WDW but I still have so much to learn. This thread already convinced me I need to make it WL at twilight, what time do you need to be boarding a boat (and which launch is it?) to have a shot of catching this view? Teach me your ways!
It’s a terrible time to sell Aulani.
It’s a bad time and it’s an especially bad time to sell AUL-S, the market doesn’t seem to be valuing the dues subsidy as much as I do. If our AUL points weren’t direct, we’d probably be eating the sale coat to flip them to subsidized dues.
