Dh turns 35 next month, and from the end of November to the end of December I want to celebrate it for 35 days. I need a bunch of ideas that could be fun for him. trying to keep the cost down, because he is getting a surprise birthday party as well.

Here are some of my ideas, PLEASE help out with more if you can...

1. first day wake up early ( ) and cook him a nice breakfast
2. Go windowshopping with him to the hardware store
3. a couple of gift certificates (small amounts)
4. send him to blockbuster to rent a movie of HIS choice.
5. buy him flowers
6. sweet love note left in car with favorite candy
7. choose to watch the home improvent shows he really likes.
8. set up a nice bath for him and quiet the kids for some relaxation.
9. ;)
10. for dinner on his birthday cook him his favorite meal.
11. of course his birthday party counts!

I need more, can you accept the challenge and help????

What a wonderful and creative idea! :) :) I love it. :) Are you going to tell him on the first day of the surprises the idea behind it?

I'm sure that he would like a few more similar to 9 ;) so that would fill up a few more right there. ;)

On his Birthday you're cooking him his favorite meal, but how about his favorite dessert another day?

Do you have a CD Burner? You could make him a CD of favorite songs to play on the way to work (if he has a CD player in the car and drives to work... a lot of "conditions" in this idea, LOL)

Does he like back rubs? Foot rubs? :) :) You could make a small coupon book/page with a few small coupons in it for things like that.

Does he normally always do something around the house (like gathering and taking out the garbage for instance) that you or the kids could do for him one day?

Does he like scratch and win tickets? How about a couple of those laid out with a lucky penny to scratch them.

What types of things does he like to do? Hobbies? How does he normally spend an evening?

Going on the CD burner theme.. the #1 songs for 35 years.. either pick a #1 song for each year and do like a two CD set.. with 35 number one songs on it...

To find older number one songs, do a google search for number one hits of the 60's, 70's, etc.. and you should find something.

I did this for my husbands fortieth..

Important dates in 1962.. the history, and toys, famous people at the time, movies, toys that were out,etc...

I also found average prices of things, car, house, bread, milk, all in 1962 as well.

Thanks for the great ideas!!!! I really appreciate them. I don't know how to burn a song from the internet. Can anyone tell me how? He definetely does not like back and foot rubs. WAY too ticklish!:D These have been really helpful. Any more ideas???

Put something special in his things each day as he goes to work so he will find them later. I like to put cards, candy, or little surprises like that in my DH's briefcase.

How 'bout some special and memorable meals?

The first one could be a surprise candlelite dinner with just the two of you --- have a friend keep the kids for a couple of hours.

Then have two dinners hosted by each of the kids. Let DD prepare a meal and have it with just dad while you and DS leave for a bit -- then let DS do the same as you and DD leave another evening. Let it be PBJ if that is all they can make! Let the kids make homemade place mats, centerpieces, cards, etc for THEIR special evening with Dad.

And remember to take lots of pictures!;)

Does he have a favorite author? Maybe you could pick up a paperback book.

E-cards can be fun

Fresh, home-made cookies and cocoa

A walk in the moonlight

Does he like gourmet coffees or special teas? Maybe you could give him a travel mug with one of those.

That's all I can think of at the moment. I'll keep my thinking cap on.
