I just came across an article about DIY pinwheels! What a great non-floral accent. What do you think about our flower girl walking down the aisle with a pinwheel with ribbons attached rather than the standard flowers? Bridesmaids (or is that too much)? Now...if I could only decide on colors for a Nov. wedding.

I love that idea. Will you please share the link you found? Thank you.

Thank you so much. Let me try it out. That might be less time consuming for me than attempting to make Crystal Bouquets. And surely easy enough to make enough for the kiddos to take one home with them.

The link works:)! I love the ribbon wands they have on there too(was thinking of those instead of bubbles. The ones they have on there are awesome!

Yeah...the ribbon wands on that site are great. I also saw a pic of a bridesmaid with an oversized pinwheel...I'm guessing it was made from a 12x12 piece of paper rather than 6x6. Glad it worked!

I thought of something cute to add to the pinwheels for centerpieces, either using for kids table or just for a colorful decoration. Fill a clear vase or Plastic Sand Pail up with candy such as Skittles, Gumballs, multicolored jellybeans, or M&Ms(the kind of any of these you can buy easily in a regular size bag or box of in a grocery store) and have the Pinwheels sticking out of with either swirl lollipops and unicorn lollipops. That would look so cute, colorful, and probably less expensive to put together than floral arrangements.

I think Im using that idea for my kids table(oops on my no candy idea, but at least it will be more limited). What kid doesn't enjoy pinwheels? I might even think of getting enough Mickey Balloons like in the park to attach for each kid to have at least one balloon too.

Thank you again for the pinwheel idea. It's too cute.

Great idea for a kids table. I saw a lollipop on a commercial yesterday and was thinking that they would go well with pinwheels...and kids. The colored candy in the vase is also a nice touch!
