OK between Liberty Tree and O'hana which is your favorite and why?

I plan on trying both of these on my next trip, but judging by the menus and what reviews I have read, it's like comparing apples to oranges:confused3

That is a tough one for me. I love both, the meats served are so different as far as the way they are cooked. I think I have to say Ohana between the two but, LTT is my fave in MK. I think the meat is a better quality at Ohana. I haven't had lunch there yet but look forward to it especially the strawberry shortcake dessert they serve during lunch. The shrimp and potatoes as well as the dessert at Ohana's is really good to.

Yeah, thats a tough comparison because they are so different. Liberty Tree is probably my favorite character meal because its not a buffet and I think its really clever the way the characters are dressed in colonial attire. Its also good food in comfort food sort of way. And its very convenient to eat inside the MK. O'Hana is very nice because its in the lovely Polynesian resort. The food is also very good there and its a fun environment for kids and adults. They are about the same price. One nice thing about O'Hana is they have a bar (try a Lapu Lapu)! But really, you can't go wrong with either. Its just what you are in the mood for, Thanksgiving or Polynesian!

Ohana's - definately better food. Liberty Tree Tavern is a been there, done that restaurant. Ohana's is definately a keeper. The food is very good. My son just asked to go back there tonight (while we were talking about our next trip).

I pick Ohana's only b/c you can watch Wishes from your table. But LTT is our second fav. WDW restaurant so I really can't say!! ;)

How about 'ohana is great and LTT sucks canal water. Back in the day, LTT was a good place to eat but they ruined it with family style service. 'Ohana has family style as well but its a interesting selection as opposed to mounds of roasted turkey. This one is not even close

but I think I would have to pick LTT. I am not a HUGE meat eater--yeah I eat meat at every meal (well 75% of my meals) but it seems like that is pretty much your meal at Ohana's. I liked the atmosphere and the salad and dessert was awesome. But the main meal--I could take it or leave it. I enjoyed the meal at LTT. And the girls loved the character interaction. Last year we went for free dining and ate at many different places and my favorite was the cape may clam bake. It was AWESOME!!! Of all of the places we ate at (Le Cellier, Marakesh, Cape May, Boma, Concourse, Chef Mickey's, LTT, Sci-Fi, Kona (bfast), O'hana's, 1900 Park Fare) I would go back to Cape May again and Kona's for breakfast. We are going again this year and trying other places we have never eaten before, but those 2 we will return to. I would return to some others but not before trying some new places. HTH! Amanda

LTT - decent food, really nice atmosphere and it is in the park.

'Ohana is OK, I just wouldn't make a special trip to go there. If I were going to the Poly, I'd rather eat at Kona or do the Luau.

This is a tough one.. there are many fine restaurants on property so these are not the best but decent..

I think if I had small children, I would go with character dining at O'Hana, it is Thanksgiving all over again, but then they do lots of children events at the O'Hana Dinner and if you time if right you can see Wishes.....this is 50/50 as far as I am concerned for food quality..

Not sure I helped.....tough decision.

'Ohana is my favorite restaurant overall anywhere. So i would without a doubt choose 'Ohana

OHANA!!! That is a def. 'must do' on my Family's list of ADRs. It is one of the coolest restaurants you will ever go to, and their honey and lime salad dressing is amazing! Also, as someone stated above, you can watch Wishes from the Restaurant and they dim the lights and pipe in the music.

I agree with others that say it is a tough comparison. They are very different. I was a bit disapointed with O'hanna. Back when I went, the shrimp was more of a peel and eat type and therefor not cleaned, if you know what I mean ;) All of the other meats tasted the same to me. We really enjoyed LTT this past May when we went there. Homey atmosphere, characters dressed in the colonial attire, and decent comfort food :)

Weel Disney decided for me we will be going to LTT. O'hana didn't have anything available for my day so that was a easy decision for me. Thanks for all your help and opinion's I wanted to try O's but I think we will be happy with LTT. DS4 favorite food is roasted turkey and potato's so I think he will be realy happy and a break from the typical kids menu for him. thanks again

what is LTT's food like? I mean is it like a Stauffer's freezer dinner:scared: (I'm asking because I see it's sponsored by Stauffer's), or is it better? More homemade tasting??

I am not a big turkey eater but their turkey was good and moist. The macaroni was excellent--green beans--uh-not so good. I love green beans and must say that I make a pretty mean green bean--their's weren't that good. Dressing is very good. Mashed potatoes were very good as well. I think we got some type of salad and rolls. Husband thought we got roast beef there as well?? :confused3 I must say, I don't remember that--my memory is not great (but it's better than his:rolleyes1 ). The banana pudding for dessert was awesome and this restaurant by far had the best sweet tea of any that we drank while down there. HTH Amanda
