Ohana - Is the atmosphere as fun at 9:30PM

The only ADR I can get for October 3rd is 9:30 pm for Ohana, which I think we could make work since the next day we're doing Horror Nights, and don't have to be up till about 3pm

But my question is, is the atomsphere as fun at 9:30 pm, or is it kind of tired and dreary? I don't really want to feel like I'm eating at a restaurant that's preparing to close. If so... I guess I will just keep calling and try and get a 7 or 8pm.

I agree. We had a 9:10pm ADR and they didn't do any of the fun stuff you hear about. There weren't many many kids, but there were some and they didn't do any of the coconut races and stuff you hear about. I also didn't hear any musicians.

I've eaten at 'Ohana a couple of times after 8:30pm, and found it to be a lot more calm, quiet, and reserved than earlier in the evening.

I love 'Ohana when it's busy and fun, but eating there in the quiet of the last hour or so is a totally different experience, one that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I'd recommend late dining at 'Ohana for those who prefer a quieter experience. In fact, I'd also recommend it to folks looking for a romantic dinner; once the restaurant clears out, it's quiet and peaceful, and the views out the windows are still very pretty.

I think service improves when the waitstaff have fewer Guests, too.

We have ressies for New Years Eve at 9:30 p.m. I assume it will be very active that night. Anyone do New Years Eve there and what was it like?

Now see I am thinking the 3rd is a friday there is the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on the 2nd & the 4th but not the 3rd, so Ohana could be very busy & the actives to be still going on later. We have had ADR at 8 not gotten in til 8:30 & it was still alot of fun & still busy.

I have to agree. There is deffinately not as much excitement after about the 830 mark.
