Oh what a horrible trip!!!! Now for something completely different-Final blast ......

Nice job on the HM pictures. Mine from The Land pretty much stink, unless you like blur, in which case they're great!

Love Living with the Land! Also enjoyed spending some time with the fishes. Small spaces don't bother me but not that I think about it I don't think I would like the scuba dive at all.

Are you headed to Mission Space now?

Well of course there are more than one nine pound lemons! I mean, seriously, everyone needs a nine pound lemon....

Wow, that demonstration is pretty cool. Although I'm with you, the idea of scuba gear really weirds me out. We went snorkeling in the Dominican Republic and that was enough for me. It was a little hard to get used to.

More fun in The Land! Love your pics from Living with the Land! :thumbsup2

Living with the land is always a great ride.

Thanks for the warning. I scrolled through very quickly, as I saw the top of the tank. I am currently taking long, deep breaths to stay in control. :thumbsup2

I was listening to Soarin' yesterday. I love the ride itself, but I also love the music to it. It just gives me the sense of glding along over the coast. Makes me smile. :)

Your welcome ;)

The music for Soarin alwys makes me relax and enjoy. I can almost feel the wind in my hair when I hear it.

So, explain - did you have something happen scuba diving or is this just a phobia? Scuba diving has actually never really appealed to me because I have a fear of getting lost or getting stuck and running out of air. :faint:

Love all the hidden Mickeys (see, I read BEFORE work today). :thumbsup2

Have fun in Disneyland!

It is the whole breathing underwater when you are trained not to. :rotfl:

We iused to go down with a mask but not a tank to vacuum our deep end and well I never had equipment that fit right ( One size fits most)
As a result the mask would bother my head and the wet suit too big the weight belt not enough to hold me down and that experience was not great but I was never scared just uncomfortable.

I guess for me if something went wrong I would drown and that is just unacceptable to an aquatics person. :rotfl2:

Glad you read BEFORE going to work. :lmao:

Disneyland is 3 sleeps away. :cool1: Dare I say ALL THAT CAN BE PACKED IS.

I am only about a third of the way through your trip report...I was curious about your Disname... which you explained... (If your son starts swimming with a team in the summer and the fall into the winter...and all of that do you get to be an honorary Poolrat...or Poolrat Mom...? ;) Anyhow...

When your son is hanging out at the pool almost all of his waking hours and well if you need him and always go there to find him..... he will be a poolrat.
Now you end up hanging there to be with him and you can be a poolrat too. ;)

party: :welcome: party:

I did read about your trip down and the billboards so I probably should have been warned...

but nothing could have prepared me for this:

OK... I was reading your TR... and drinking coffee ... (while waiting for the plumber to come... Hmmm...wonder when that will be...:rolleyes1)

but

I should not have been reading and drinkng...

because

I had to clean up my keyboard after I choked out a rather larger gulp of coffee after seeing Dr. V...

OMG... Seriously?

So I'm going to put the cup down and go back to reading...

& I really hope your trip isn't horrible although it is an intriguing name...

(love Beach Club... staying there soon....:woohoo:)

Ok back to the program...popcorn::

Dr. V had me rolling-- not always a good idea if you are driving but nonetheless if I were a guy ( and I am NOT ) I would not that creeper near my nether regions. :rotfl2:

I love all of the pictures you got in the Nemo queue. I think it's so well done, and pretty under-rated as queues go.

Can't wait to hear what happened next!

Usually it is pretty empty in there and I can take my time. This time there was a line but it kept moving so even more time to take pictures.

Hmmm... Still waiting for the plumber ...:rolleyes1 supposed to be here at 8 now 9.30...

Anyhow... so far your trip is very un horrible...

I loved your check in at Beach Club... I get that happy feeling too...:goodvibes

Loved your MK pictures... can't wait to see the new Dumbo...

Hope the plumber finally came. Was it the two guys in the liquid plumber commercial? ;)

This trip was very different from last trips and so far very un-horrible.

I get to sniff the BC again in a couple of weeks.

I want to spin the other way in Dumbo. Not sure if the way I rode was the "other way" or not?? :scratchin

I think it was quite funny that you thought at least the drunks doing shots were happy drunks... that is so true... a happy drunk is much better than the alternative...

Happy drunks are entertaining. Clumsy drunks you just have to watch so they don't hurt themselves and the wild drunks can be obnoxious and ugly.

Cute little Brave play area... I personally loved that movie... the brothers were so awesome in it... I happened to love Merida too because honestly... she's the only princess with truly curly hair... (the rest are straight naturally or have had a straightening process done...:confused3) Merida... now that's some serious curly hair... and red to boot...:goodvibes

Enjoying your tr... but maybe I should put the coffee down when I read it...;)

I still need to see Brave. :sad2: I have finally embraced my curly hair and stopped trying to fight it. I always lost anyway. :lmao:

Glad you are enjoying the TR.

Yes!! All packed and ready to go!! :goodvibes

Glad to see you got over the usual before trip pre-pack panic. :crazy2:

Fun in the land! Pretty much NOT horrible.

I admit, scuba (conceptually) freaks me out, for me personally.

It is the only way I can explain it. I guess I naturally hold my breath so the exhaling and then INHALING underwater is so unnatural so I take short breaths and then find myself hyperventilating. :lmao:

The land was fun and I was a HM finding fiend. :rotfl2:

Nice job on the Hidden Mickeys!

TT being closed definitely made Epcot different, huh? But even with that, you can't possibly be considering going THERE next...can you? :confused3

Don't do it! :rotfl2:

TT being closed just made that side of the park less attractive to go to. :confused3

Oh Yeah you know where I am heading..... had that SPARK didn't ya?

I was behind a couple of updates but I caught up using your handy dandy links.

Love the pics in the new Fantasyland, too bad you can't see much in the air on the new Dumbo, maybe when it is complete there might be something to see?

That I will lt you know in Oct. Not totally open yet but maybe more to see. :confused3

I don't blame you for getting caught up in Illuminations, I love that show, and pics I take never turn out so I have given up on taking any and just enjoy the show.

LOL at your Japanese Spaceship Earth!

IllumiNations is my favorite soundtrack of a nighttime show. I got totally caught up in it and it was wonderful.

Next time try SE in another language. :joker:

I have been SCUBA diving before in St Thomas, and I did enjoy it at first but I got messed up with the procedures to get the water out of my mask and I ended up panicking and almost drowning myself. :scared1: That was scary, the instructor had to help me to more shallow water. I don't think I will be doing that again anytime soon...

:scared1: Early on I had that problem too. I have a small head and always struggled with finding a mask that actually fit properly. Probably part of the reason I hyperventilate. I think I actually ended up with a child's mask and that fit the best.

Several times growing up we had to do a fins, mask and snorkle drill and I was always a spaz. Sucking in water and the mask filling up. A hot mess I tell you. :rotfl2:

Thanks - I got lucky in the Land. Dark and moving I still have trouble with. ;)

Love Living with the Land! Also enjoyed spending some time with the fishes. Small spaces don't bother me but not that I think about it I don't think I would like the scuba dive at all.

Are you headed to Mission Space now?

The land is always a great ride. Fast enough to leep you entertained but slow enough so you can really look and relax.

Normally don't mind small spaces but the being underwater part even though I swim and am comforatable I think it is a combination of being weighed down and having to rely on a tank to breath and do that underwater freaks me out a bit. :lmao:

Not M:S CO is on the right track. Use your imagination, it will come to you. ;)

We always seemed to see the one and some of us were beginning to wonder if there was only one Disney Nine pound lemon.

Did some snorkling too and I finally got that but being at the surface was better for me. I still held my breath. :rotfl2:

I believe I am all packed ( except for last minute stuff) and ready to go.

Work today was unreal!!!!!

Long meeting and still need to do minutes for that one.
I had to prod people for the stuff I needed to finish up the things on my desk before I left.

Stayed late and got it all done.

Tuesday should be better and Wednesday is meetings and just need to drop off the stuff I distributed today.

Carp- Just remembered one thing still on the list. :crazy2:

Hope to stop in again before I leave. :hyper:

I beloeve I am all packed ( except for last minute stuff) and ready to go.

Hope to stop in again before I leave. :hyper:

Here's to a safe and magical trip! :cool1:

It will be great just to be away from the stresses of work for a while. ::yes::

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Can't believe your trip is almost here! party: Congrats on being all packed......and early too!

Would love to be going on a trip to DL. Hope you have your best Disney trip ever!!! ::yes::

I love all of your pictures from Living with the Land. Thanks for sharing all of those Hidden Mickeys.

Some of the signs from the Seas queue are really clever. I have only been through that line once or twice.

All of the SCUBA confessionals are great- really reassuring. I have my own SCUBA issues. I am perfectly comfortable in the water. Snorkeling is one of my absolute favorite activities. But I had to be rescued the only time I tried to SCUBA. The whole water in my mask thing freaked me out, so I decided to quit. Grabbed the boat ladder. Handed up one fin. Then the other fin. Let go of ladder. Still had weight belt on. Sank. One of the guys on the boat had to jump in and rescue me.

Have a fantastic trip to DL!!! Can't wait to hear all about it.

:goodvibes

Safe travels tomorrow!!! Have you finally decided when you're going to leave?

All caught up.

I have never done a rope drop in any of the parks. They are my goals for next month.

Seems like a good night and then a good day at Epcot.

I have never seen people do shots at the kiosk. :confused3

Soarin' is one of my favorite rides but I think it needs a makeover. Would love different scenarios like Star Tours.

Looking forward to more.

Hope you have a wonderful trip to Disneyland!! If you're not staying at the Grand Californian, you should at least walk over and check it out. It is really an impressive resort!!

Thank You. It will be nice just to relax and enjoy without thinking about work. ::yes::

I think you need a break too. I am sure my flight still has seats available. ;)
Wouldn't that be nice just to be able to drop everything and hop on a plane?

I am sure I will have a wonderful trip. Hey it is a trip to Disney!!!! :thumbsup2

I like hunting down HM. Of course I do tend to see more than maybe are actually there....;)

Funny all the SCUBA fears- most of all from me. I guess just being comfortable in the water is not enough sometimes. I have had several Dive Master Friends tell me they could get me down there without hyperventilating and I am sure I could but I would have to consciously remind myself to relax. :rotfl2:

Safe travels tomorrow!!! Have you finally decided when you're going to leave?

Heading out after work to get near the airport for that predawn flight.
Only drawback to flying out of Greenville but I got it handled. :cool1:

For Oct - I am almost positive I will come home Friday and finish packing and sleep and then get up at llike 2 am and drive straight through. No stopping in creepy places by myself and I think I am good.

All caught up.

I have never done a rope drop in any of the parks. They are my goals for next month.

Seems like a good night and then a good day at Epcot.

The rope drop show or just opening is a bucket list thing. It is worth seeing at least once. ::yes::

I think the Mexico kiosk just started having the shots flight. I don't remember it being there either.

It would be so cool if Soarin was random over different cities.

Hope you have a wonderful trip to Disneyland!! If you're not staying at the Grand Californian, you should at least walk over and check it out. It is really an impressive resort!!

I am staying at the GCV :cool1::cool1: Scored that ressie right at 7months and not without some nailbiting. :lmao:

Can't wait- really getting excited now since just loose ends left :hyper:

Always love the shirts in the gift shop

Over to the “smelly “ ride Yes Mark I went there.

Then Captain EO was starting and as cheesy as it is, I actually find it oddly entertaining. Yup did that one too. :)

IMG_4861.jpg

The Preshow with all the “cutting edge” technology at the time fascinates me. Now it is commonplace and even outdated but then it was state of the art.

The sun was out in full force. It was about 1:30pm and I was more than ready to head back to a cool room and relax.

On the way back out of Future World I actually stopped to smell the roses.

Another shot of the sand sculpture

Passing by the UK the players were out.

IMG_4872.jpg

See the guy with the baseball cap on? His wife was in the audience and just cracking up. The player on the left was the straight man and guy with the Polo and umbrella was the “stooge” of sorts. You know the tourist that will just sit and not react so he gets those laughs.

Mr. Baseball cap was being the goof and even some of the “players” were having a hard time keeping up with his antics.

This was another instance of happening upon them and not a planned activity. I really need to look at the times guide and PLAN to see these guys from the beginning.

I was melting and the quick walk back to room was heavenly.
Of course I had to walk through the gift shop to check it out.

IMG_4876.jpg

Exactly what I was doing.

The front

That shirt came home with me
I dragged myself back up to the room and I was getting that wonderful heat exhausted feeling. Dizzy, nauseous, you know all that.
I needed a nap and cool air and water. Plenty of water. A cool shower was in order but I had a better idea.
I filled the tub with water as cool as I could stand it and yes I just soaked in it.
I probably came close to falling asleep in there but spent a good 30-45 minutes in there. When I felt better I got out and took a nice long nap.
This could go either way. I could feel better or feel worse. The Florida heat is not something to mess around with.

So yup I am leaving you with a cliff hanger..... :flower3:

I will try to check in. I MAY get an update done if I can find time to write one and figure out how to do it on the tablet.

I hope you got to feeling better after your cool bath and nap !!

You are going to Disneyland ??? I soooo wanna do that !!! Please say you are doing a TR on that trip !!

Yup, the Florida heat is nothing to mess with. I've lived here all my life and can't take it. When I take my students out to recess, we hav to carefully watch them for heat exhaustion. Have fun on your trip!
