Oh Toodles!!!

Hi April! Joining in. Your daughters are just precious. I have two girls as well (7 & 10) and your story has really touched me. How is the RSV? Are they feeling better yet?

Your daughter are close in age too. It's great now. They always have someone. My dh is :scared1: of high school..:rotfl2:.. January is much better, but her o2 level was down because of RSV. Kaitlyn is getting better, but still sick. We go back on tuesday for check up. I just hate flu season. I can deal with the girls being sick, but my dh called and said he getting sick now.. I can't deal with him being sick, he worst than the girls..:rotfl2:

Joining in:goodvibes Your daughters are beautiful.

And don't worry about traveling with the 10 mth old. They are so easy at that age because they just go with the flow. Our first trip with the kids DS5 was only 10mths and was so easy compared to now when he needs to voice his opinion about everything:lmao:

And they don't care what toy you buy them at that age too..

lol...I think having both girls in strollers is the way to go!! When it gets crowded in the parks, its just nice to know they arent going to get bumped in to or accidentally pushed. Also, if they need to take a little cat nap, that will work for you too!

My neice was especially scared of Tigger at first - he is just so tall!! But he actually got down on the ground (layed down) and then she toddled over to him. Sometimes watching the characters from a distance is fun for them if they are scared up close!!! lol....

:goodvibes

We are hoping that being around GKTW for first few days will get her ready for WDW. We are going Sea World and US/IOS the first two days.

What do you think?

Easter is 1 1/2 weeks before we leave for disney. January has not saw any of the thing I got her for the disney trip. How about Disney Easter basket? Get the disney eggs for her to find outside. I've pick up few disney crafts for her to do in april before we go. Maybe pick up disney coloring egg kit. Get her ready for disney.

thank for our trip well wishes!!

I think a Disney Easter is a great idea! there's probably a lot of stuff you can find!

I think the Disney Easter basket is a great idea to get her excited about her trip. Good way to get her used to the idea of character meeting, too.

That said, I wonder if Disney has any Easter events taking place then? I know they used to have Easter parades and I know that some of the hotels offer cookie decorating and egg hunts and special brunches on the actual weekend of Easter, but not certain if the events extend beyond the actual Easter timeline to include a few days before and a few days after. Anyone know?

And, for that matter, what about Easter at GTKW? Any special events then, too?

GKTW is doing an easter egg hunt!!! they will also have special coloring pages they said!! sounds like FUN!!!

My stress level has went down a lot when we decided to take her stroller. We only have two hands each..Two girls, three carry-ons and diaper bag. I was reading TR and didn't think about parking lots(all the walking) We looked at few stroller rental companys in Orlando, but my dh said we can buy new one cheaper. We got one for $30 and it's really nice. We all got rain ponchos, but got her a rain cover for the stroller. I found a great website that haves pictures of about all the rides seats. I looked at the safari ride seat and we are going to put the girls between us. We do think(well we know) that january is going to be :scared1: of the characters at first. If we see any star wars or super hero character to walk the other way because she will go crazy..:scared1: Here is few pictures of 2010 Disney on Ice and she is little :scared1:

When we went to Disney when my girls were 3 and 4, we brought a stroller for each of them. My older one was never one to sit in the stroller much but it sure came in handy when she was tired. It was also a nice place to stow our bottles of water and stuff. We bought a couple of second hand Graco strollers (not the umbrella type, just the regular smaller sized strollers). I think I paid $5 for one and about $20 for the other. When we were done with them, we just left them behind at the hotel. I tried to find somebody to give them to but nobody seemed to want them.

The second time we took the girls to Disney we rented a stroller. It cost us much more but by then the girls were 4 and 5. They were too big for regular strollers at that point.

It sounds like you are doing a great job researching and planning things out. Don't you love how easy the internet makes planning your trip?

Disney Easter basket's for the girls it is!! You can find disney type stuff anywhere... I really like dollar store and dollar tree stuff..

Does that help you about GKTW with Easter time!

Buying a stroller was much cheaper. I've been using it now for dr. appt and etc. We have January old HUGE stroller (Car seat goes with) but it just way to big. We get free stroller at the parks for January. It will be great for her when she needs to take a break or nap. I just thought it would be to hard for Kaitlyn to take a nap in. I love the internet. I really loved that people take the time to help other. ex. taking pictures of each rides seats. found one site that has menus of each restaurant, counter service, and etc. It really helps with the planning. I know what and where we will eat each day. Times of shows and etc. How busy the park going to be. I can get a lot researched done at naptime and late at night.

When my oldest DD was born there were 5 generations of women from my family in the delivey room so I know how precious having all those grandparents around can be. When we lived in my home state we had tons of family around. I can think of at least eighty family members in a 30 mi radius of where we used to live. We moved to my husbands birth state 7 yrs ago and I am still trying to get used to only having a few of his family members near by. Your girls seem to be about the same distance apart as my to girls are. I understand wht you mean about your DH being scared of highschool, our girls are 12 and 14 and my oldest just went to her first formal dance last night (with freinds not a date thankfully) but my husbands only comment when he saw her in that long satin dress was "you look too grown up." He thought she looked beautiful too of course but was completly overwhelmed by how growup his baby girl is. I think the disney easter basket sounds like a great idea. I'm so glad January is basically getting both of her wishes. My son loves trains too. Besides the train rides at the parks he loved the monorail.

It is something special, not many can say they have g-g-grandparents. Only problems with having a huge family is holidays. You have so many places to go and don't want to be rude, so you have to eat something at each place. I don't think my dh is ready for dances. January is 100% daddy girl. (My dh works 12hrs day and I'll cook dinner early(Warm it up for him) and January will not eat with me, she waits for him.) I'm my dad's only child and went to my prom, he said, you have too much make-up, but you look beautiful. I went to my prom with a friend and now he my dh.

We received our Disney maps in the mail today... My dh and I are going to look at them this weekend and mark them.. We also found a few videos about WDW on netflix for January to watch. Next week, we are going to family movie night and watch tangled. Is it any good? Oh yea, I saw many people buying Lanyard for their trip. What is the number one reason you use them at WDW

yay for the maps, it will really help you get oriented with the parks!

Tangled is WONDERFUL!! Megan's requested it on DVD for Easter!

I got our lanyard's on ebay, ours have an extra little purse attached to them so you can put your park tickets in them....very convenient when getting fast passes so you don't have to dig through your purse or bags....also if you buy the disney pins you attach them to it....a lot of people like to do pin trading...if you think that might be fun, also go look on ebay we got 20 random pins for $12.00 w/shipping awhile back! FYI they will get heavy after awhile since the pins are metal! they are a really neat souveniour from your trip!

When we were at GKTW, they gave my nephew a blue MAW lanyard with a little plastic card holder on the end for his guest assistance card.

I use a lanyard to carry my tiny mister fan. But If you have strollers, they are easy for carrying around your stuff. Did you know you can bring a small soft cooler into the park to carry snacks and drinks in?

So I go away for a couple of days and you go from page 5 to page 8:scared1: I guess I'll have to pay better attention.:rotfl2:

I'm loving your idea about the easter baskets. FYI- Target always has super cute Disney Princess socks for $1 in small sizes. Just perfect for your little girls.

I just adored the pictures of the girls. It is great that they get to know there g-g-grandma. I have a picture in my living room that has my great grandma, grandpa, aunt, cousin, and her baby daughter in it. I treasure it since the two elders in the picture have passed.

I am glad you decided on the stroller. You will be happy on how much it helps during your trip.

We were also supplied with a lanyard at GKTW that had a plastic pouch at the end. The pouch was great for the GAC at WDW and it's aquivalant at US/IOA. I also kept the tickets in there and other things we would need for the parks that day. I would go through it every day and change it out. Other than that it was good to hang on the GKTW button and our first trip button. You can see many pictures of the lanyard around my neck in our PTR.:thumbsup2

And as for ice cream, the whole family enjoyed the Dole Whip (pineapple ice cream) at Ahoha Isle. We definalty recomend it. :thumbsup2

Talk to you soon.:yay:

i think poeple mainly use the lanyards for two reasons- some people like trading pins and keep them on their lanyard. also, some get a little pouch and keep their KTTW in the lanyard pouch

we watched lots of youtube videos to prepare for our last trip- tons of ride videos on there!

I was thinking the same thing about the tickets too. We are huge disney movie fans. Can't wait to watch it next week. Our cable company haves a on demand channel you get 10disney movie a week to watch. We are thinking about getting it for the family. We don't go to movies much because all kids movies are in 3D anymore. We like some movies in 3D, but not all of them. We are going to take the girls to see Cars2 this summer, we found a place that doesn't do 3D movie. I love the first Cars.

I've been reading about the snacks in the parks. I think water is free at Counter services? I've put in my planning that my dh will be doing a trip to wal mart the first night. OK, what about snacks on the airplane? I know no liquids.

I just write too much...:rotfl2: Great idea for your picture of the five grenerations. We found a picture frame that said Five generations. Children are born, traditions are passed, the love continues to grow. The picture frame $$$. I went and made my own collage photo with that on it. It's in our living room. I've been saw lots of TR with little kids with lanyard on. I like the idea not getting holes in the girls clothes. Can you still see the GKTW button? Also, I heard about first trip button, where do you get them? I love the dollar part at target. I love getting great deals:cool1: I told my dh about pineapple ice cream. He can't wait. I can't wait to buy some good fruit. We haven't had any good looking fruit for months. See, I write too much...:lmao:

I don't think you write to much. But than again it seems about 90% of my PTR is my ramblings and pictures.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

We had no problem with the button being seen. But don't feel shy in showing the CM the button when you ask where to go. I felt a little akward at first, but that is what you are given them for, so use it.

You get the first visit buttons at customer service in any of the parks. It is also where you get the sticker to be able to use the stroller as a wheelchair.

I know what you meam about fruit. I bought some strawberries at Walmart a couple of weeks ago. I was so disappointed. They were very small and had little flavor to them. There is nothing like a good piece of fruit.:upsidedow

When we were in Florida in December, we had the BEST strawberries ever!!!! We drove through Plant City (about 20 miles from Orlando) and got strawberries right out of the field. Then we bought the most delicious strawberry milkshakes there too. I am drooling just thinking about it!!!!
