Oh No-News lens might not make it in time-please show me pics

I ordered a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II for my trip next week. I have really been wanting one and I thought it would be great for this next Disney trip. Ordered it from Amazon on April 2nd. I leave evening of the 17th. Well, wouldn't you know it they evidently closed for Passover, as did B&H and one other place I tried, can't remember the name, started with an A. None of these would be shipping until the 10th or 11th of April. So I ordered from Amazon, approx ship date April 11th I went with 2-day shipping, it should have arrived on the 13th. Just got an email this morning, not shipped yet, not expected to ship until the 13th, approx arrival date the 17th!!

Well, I changed shipping method, bumped it up to 1-day, so now it should be here on the 16th, but I'm thinking that is cutting it way too close. I hope it gets here.


So while I'm waiting please show me some pictures taken with this lens or one similar. Give me some ideas of how to use it since I can't practice with my own. TIA!!!

I don't have any pics available to post, but I've used that lens before, and you're going to love it. It's definitely one of best primes I've ever used.

I bought it in March when I bought my Rebel XTI. It is great for low and mixed light, and very nice for portraits. It's also allowed me to take some reasonable photos of our pet (Black Lab with a very shiny coat). I don't have any pics with it uploaded right now, but I will try to post some over the next couple days.

I got that lens a couple of weeks ago for my Rebel XT (and to share with my Rebel G if I ever shoot film again) and I love it.

These were with it....

I just shot a bunch of the kids at the park the other day but they are not all processed yet, if there is anything good I will post it.

Ooooh, I'm so excited. Those pics are great!!! Good to see how well it does in low light.

I used it for a bunch of pictures in IASW (first time using it) - did very well with the low light. Some of the pictures even turned out all right.
