Oh, Just A Few GALLONS of Pixie Dust! - A July/August 2012 TR

Okay, I swear I thought I had responded to the first post on your DHS day, but maybe I was just making it up in my head? :confused3 Anyway, moving on...

I totally get the drill sergeant approach to getting people out of the room, it's TSM people, there is a plan and you FOLLOW THE PLAN.

I'm glad you like LMA, you know my feeling on that show. I totally agree that entire area could be turned into something spectacular for Pixar.

I just love the Friendship Boat rides, it's such a beautiful, totally Disney area. I'm glad you're starting to like Boardwalk more, it is an amazing resort (hence it being one of my DVC home resorts). Beach Club looks beautiful (and I'm sure we're going to love staying there in, oh, 29 days!). But BC is lots of hustle and bustle because it attracts so many families with little kids. The thing I love  about BW is that you can get the hustle and bustle when you want it on the Boardwalk itself, but the resort has these gorgeous little nooks and crannies that are just so quiet and peaceful.

As for your Labor Day question.... Since I have upcoming trips planned in the next year to BC, AKL, BW and BLT, I think the two resorts I'd love to try are Yacht Club and Wilderness Lodge... though if we're allowed to go bicoastal, I'd probably pick Yacht Club and Grand Californian.

I almost put Grand Californian lol! But I figured she was looking for WDW! But yes. Grand Californian is a dream!!

I loved LMA the first time I saw it, then after that it was just kind-of, well, the same. The first time is the best, but after you know what to expect, well, its predictable. Its a tough to sit through that show in the summer heat, that's for sure.

Bummer that you had a bad gun. I would hate that. I don't mind it so much on Buzz, but on TSM everything should be in perfect working order.

Hmmm...Lunch.... Beaches and Cream?

Happy one-year of the Dis anniversary!!

It's been a while since I saw LMA, but I remember the long, blisteringly hot walk. Aaagh!

I haven't ridden TSM yet, but I will be rectifying it VERY SOON. I am very, very, VERY bad at Buzz, and I'm sure I'll be equally bad at TSM...but I have to try it!

My two resorts would be the Contemporary and the Beach Club. Even though I haven't stayed at BC yet, I'm in love with it!

Thank you kind friend!!!

Hahha, long for sure!

OH my gosh... oh my gosh. I'm unable to process this information... hahaha no, all you have to do is pull the string and shoot! It's so much fun!!!

AHHH bliss. I love those two so much!

LMA is a decent show. I just think once you've seen it, you're good

Ahhhh, my ride! TSM is my favorite ride on all of Disney. I would have said something to the CM's about your gun. You may have gotten to ride again.

If I could stay at any deluxe, money no issue......

Animal Kingdom Lodge
Wilderness lodge.

And it would be the best rooms in each!

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Yes, EXACTLY! That is exactly what I'm saying!

Yayyyy for TSM! Oh, I did! You don't know how badly I wanted to ride again, but we had to go to lunch. Wahhhh hahaha.

Those are both incredible!!! I was beginning to think poor AKL wasn't going to get any love, but it's one of my favorites!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you've hit the nail on the head about LMA...at least for this family, and we're typical, right:rolleyes1!?!?!
It's never even made it on our DHS radar. Neither has Indiana Jones, but I think it might once the kids are older and leaning towards more non-Animation Courtyard shows.

I know what you mean about Jacob just enjoying the ride and not caring about the score--I really tried to show Brynn how to shoot the gun, but she had no interest. Her interest was wearing those glasses, shouting, "WHEEEEEEE!" as we spun around, and yelling out the characters she spotted. And she is SO excited to do it again!! I'm excited, too, because...uhm...my score was low because I was trying to teach her...yeah, that's it:thumbsup2! Now Julia and Brandon are probably the most competitive people in the world, so I know they're going to be all about the score, and Sawyer's never been on it before. I'm thinking that he, Brynn, and I will all just ride together and yell, "WHEEEEEE!!" That is totally okay:love:.

Brave billboard? AWESOME! We just took the girls to see that (yeah, for the girls;)) yesterday, and we all loved it! Glad we got to see it before we leave for WDW.

I've never been on a Friendship Boat, but I can see why you loved it so much! Those resorts (well, with the exception of Swalphin) are so amazing. It's my dream to stay at the Beach Club some day. Not so sure about the Boardwalk...I'd like everything except the creepy clown, but that's probably enough to make me stay away.
Yeah, I'm a grown-up, and I'm cool like that.

Yes! Oh, totally. My family is too. It's fine. Hahah! We all enjoyed it but really, no need to see it... ever again.

I should definitely take his approach to it! Luckily I'm still able to have fun AND try to get a good score! Hahah she is precious. I would love to witness that.

YES. Isn't that movie amazing? Oh my goodness, one of my favorite Pixar movies now! I can't wait for the DVD!

They're awesome! (Swolphin is ALWAYS the exception. Sigh... sigh sigh sigh.) Yeah, see, I'm completely pretending that the clown pool doesn't exist because apparently I used to be slightly terrified of clowns... according to my parents... but yeah. Everything else looks so wonderful though! Basically the Epcot resort area is just wonderful.

Sounds like a great day Marissa. We could all learn a little something from Jacob -just enjoying the ride sounds like excellent advice.

Love the boardwalk area! Isn't it so pretty?

My 2 dream resorts would probably be the Beach Club and the Poly. We've stayed at the BWI and loved the area, so I'm thinking that + SAB= nirvana. And the Poly because it's 1. iconic 2. MK adjacent and 3. not DVC (as in points rental) therefore out of my price range.

Was CR/BLT one of your dream resorts? Is it still?

I know! It's definitely good advice to follow.

It's amazing! I'm in love with that area as a whole (pretending Swolphin doesn't exist, of course. ;))

Those are both amazing! Honest to God, I cannot pick my favorite. It's so cool to see what everyone else's is!!!

YES! That was my first dream resort actually (besides the Grand Floridian... because of Full House)! I still definitely want to stay at the Contemporary itself someday. I think on my next trip I'll miss it so much!

Just wanted to stop by & say Congrats to your Hokies. What a game. Needless to say, it's not a lot of fun in my house right now. Ed has finally stopped pacing & screaming profanities at the TV (thank goodness Reid is asleep). :lmao: But, I can feel him just seething on the couch next to me. :sad2:

Aww thanks! I'm sorry your night last night wasn't the greatest. :(

Thank you!

Oh, in answer to your question, my two resorts are The Poly and Beach Club. I'm so lucky to be doing a split stay at the two of them in five weeks!!!

Of course! He is adorable.

Those are both amazing! ARE YOU REALLY? Oh my gosh! That sounds phenomenal. I bet that'll be such an awesome time!

What a fun day at DHS!

Congrats on getting the highest score in the family, even with a broken gun! I bet that took mad skills!

I love the Friendship boats too! I wonder where you guys are going for lunch?

It was a lot of fun!

Hahah thank you! Well ya know, I do have the mad skills. ;) Or... maybe I've just had more practice than them.

I just think they're so much fun! Maybe because they're like the only boats that don't make me sea sick haha. The scenery doesn't hurt either!

I'm not going to read your update now since I can't see the pics, but I will answer your question about the two deluxe resorts.

#1 Yacht Club Why? Because I love the BC and this seems like the quiet side pf the BC. The lobby is so beautiful, as are the buildings. I would really feel like I am away from it all, but have everything I need right within reach. Plus, being a DVC member, my chance of staying here is very small.

#2 Poly Why? I have spent a lot more time exploring the Poly resort and it really intrigues me. I love the view from the pool. And, again, being DVC my chances of staying here are small.

Once you pay those DVC dues every year it is much more cost effective to stay in those resorts. However, at some point in time I wouldn't mind renting my points and staying in either (or both) of these resorts.

Those are both great! I know what you mean about the Yacht Club. It has such a classy feel to it.

The Poly is a very popular choice as well! I haven't explored it outside the GCH but even that alone was beautiful!

I excluded DVC because I've always been curious about people's preferences if DVC didn't exist. I'm just a curious type haha! :)

The first place I would want to stay would be IN the Castle... does that count as a resort? I'd be riding dumbo at like 3 a.m.! Heck with Magic Hours... Magic is as Magic does if you're SLEEPING IN THE CASTLE!

Really though: I'd probably say #1 would be AKL and I would want a ground room floor with a savanna view... I saw a picture that someone took from their room of what looked like an emu taking a nap against the window in their room... HOW COOL would that be?! Oh Yeah! That's what I would want! :wizard: That would be both cool and kinda scary. :wizard:

#2 would probably be GF, with a room on the second floor, facing the MK... I have never read at TR of anyone who stayed in the GF with a view of the MK... so I'm not even sure they really exist, but I think that would be the most awesome place to stay because then you'd feel like you were sleeping ON Main Street.. you'd be SO close to the Castle, you could probably see Cindy waking up in the morning! :cool1:

Hahah I wish!!!

Oh wow... that does sound AMAZING. Seriously! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE animals. LOVE them. So AKL is VERY high on my list as well! I think the whole place seems so exotic and unlike anything else!

I don't read many GF TRs either! Honestly though, our view at BLT felt about as close as you can get to the castle!

I actually kind of like the stunt show! Although its not something we need to see every time.

If money were no object...Beach Club & Polynesian!

I do too. I just think, now that I know all the tricks, there's no need to see it again!

Those are VERY popular... and for good reason!

Okay, I swear I thought I had responded to the first post on your DHS day, but maybe I was just making it up in my head? :confused3 Anyway, moving on...

Hahah it's okay!

Yeah. I mean, I thought I'd mentioned the plan several times. SIGH! At least we got to ride.

Yeah! It could be AMAZING! Wow... so amazing. Ahhhh if only hahah.

Totally agree. I've always liked the Boardwalk, but lately it's just hitting me how awesome it is. That whole area is just wonderful. I've never even been inside! I just need to stay there ahhhhh!

Hahah Grand Californian is not off limits at all! I was just asking about non-DVC because I've always wondered what people's preferences are as far as regular hotel rooms, and where people would like to stay if DVC wasn't a thing. I've never been to Disneyland so I don't really know anything about it, but from what I've seen it's amazingly gorgeous!

I almost put Grand Californian lol! But I figured she was looking for WDW! But yes. Grand Californian is a dream!!

Well, I wasn't thinking in terms of Disneyland because I don't know much about those resorts (besides the names/theming) but no! They're not off limits at all and GC looks beautiful!

I loved LMA the first time I saw it, then after that it was just kind-of, well, the same. The first time is the best, but after you know what to expect, well, its predictable. Its a tough to sit through that show in the summer heat, that's for sure.

Hmmm...Lunch.... Beaches and Cream?

Yeah, see, that's exactly how I feel! We all really enjoyed it. It was really cool to learn all the tricks. But now I know them... and I can move on.

Yeah! I guess some guests just get a little too crazy with that game hahahahah. I know, I wish all the guns worked perfectly! It's a bummer for sure.

We actually went to lunch in Epcot! :thumbsup2

Okay, so I love your question about resorts! It's such a good one and really made me think. So, as you know, I just absolutely adore Beach Club. To change things up, I'd love to stay at the Yacht Club. I know that's not that big of a difference, but I'd love to stay there in a regular room with a huuuuge balcony. That would be awesome.

The other resort I'd choose is Grand Floridian. I KNOW we've stayed there, too, but I just really really loved our stay there. It was such a beautiful resort, and being on the monorail loop was so perfect.

A close third would be WL... but only at Christmas. I think it's the perfect resort to spend Christmas at, with the big fires and beautiful lobby. Basically for us, it would feel like home when we actually really want it to feel like home (since we love Christmas in the Pacific Northwest).. Okay I know I cheated with 3 choices buuuut oh well!

Sounds like LMA was um, fun? Haha, no I mean, I'm sure it's cool to see, but I think it'd be waaay better if they expanded Pixar Place! I've heard rumors they're planning on a major overhaul in that area, so maybe it'll happen!! I don't your idea is too far-fetched at all!

HOORAY for TSMM! But what a bummer that you had a broken gun... I have to say, I love your attitude about it though. You're just having fun breaking plates, so who cares if the gun is broken?! Plus, you kicked major booty on it regardless of the broken gun!

The Green Army guy is kind of creepy.. I mean, he has no face!

YAY FOR BRAVE!! I loved that movie and seriously hope I get to meet Merida during our trip!

Um, my favorite Disney channel show, no joke was... That's So Raven! OMG, I have this weird obsession with Raven Simone... Or well, I think she is absolutely hysterical! Now I have the song stuck in my head... and the reason I brought it up is because you mentioned Cheetah Girls, haha.

OMG NOW I'm thinking about Zenon! Please tell me you remember THAT movie! Zoom zoom zoom, make my heart go boom boom... My supernova GIRL!

Ahem, anyway... YAY for Friendship Boats! I lovelovelove them so much. They are seriously up there with my favorite mode of Disney transportation.

Boardwalk does look really amazing! I would totally stay there in the event that we couldn't get a room at Beach Club. :goodvibes

OH HI BEACH CLUB! I SEE YOU!

My guess is you guys are going tooooo Le Cellier! Or Akershus... Oh I can't decide, hahaha. :rotfl:

Deluxe Resorts.........

Polynesian and Beach Club.

Both for location (obviously). Also for food though. Meaning, Beach Club has great access to food (walking to Epcot, hello!), and I love the food at the Poly too. Poly has always been my favorite resort though.

Dude, it is like 37 miles to get to your seat at LMA. I am indifferent to the show, only because seeing it once was enough for me.

Oh dear God, I would have a meltdown if my gun was broken on TSM. I would actually tell them it was broken just so I could get back on. :rolleyes2

Jacob having fun on the ride would be worth having a broken gun though. I have to say. :goodvibes And the fact that you still had the highest score. *sniff* I'm so proud.

Haha, your parents look so cute on the boat!

Happy Dis-aversary, my friend!!

Let's see...my two would be the Beach Club and...really any monorail resort. I can't even narrow it down past that. If I actually could afford any of those, I might go crazy trying to decide.

Anywho, I so wish they would expand the Pixar area! Imagine a Soarin' type ride themed to Carl and Russell's ride in Carl's house! And I want a Monsters, Inc. something. SO BAD. I LOVE THEM!! (OMG did you hear they are re-releasing that in theaters in 3D?!??!?! AHHHHHHHHH!) Oh man, there are so many great things they could do! ::yes::

Okay - your resort question is just too hard. There are so many good options out there, but I think if you really twisted my arm, I would say

1 - Poly. Because really - monorail? check. Yummy food? check, check, check. Theming? check. Seriously though, sometimes we spend more time eating at that resort than anywhere else.

2. BC - my hubby's absolute fave. I enjoyed it too. You can't beat that walk to Epcot. It's about 2.5 minutes.

So I actually kinda like LMA, but it's not something that is a must do for me on every trip. And not fun to sit through when it's a bajillion degrees outside.

Yay! Hahah yeah, not a huge difference. But they're both beautiful and they're in such a great area!

The other resort I'd choose is Grand Floridian. I KNOW we've stayed there, too, but I just really really loved our stay there. It was such a beautiful resort, and being on the monorail loop was so perfect.

Grand Floridian was my first dream resort EVER! And yes, it was because of Full House, but STILL. I feel like if I don't stay in a monorail resort on my next trip (which I really, really, REALLY doubt I will anyway) I'll just be sad every time I have to ride a bus to Epcot or MK! Hahha I'm so spoiled now, it's ridiculous.

I'm with you on that! I mean, I am CLEARLY not from that area, nor have I ever even been there. BUT, I adore Christmas to the fullest extent and as beautiful as I think the resort is year round, at Christmas it's just even more magical and THAT is what I want to experience!

It honestly was an enjoyable show. But I'm over it now! I know all the secrets and the tricks behind the stunts now. So it's a been there, done that, and too time consuming to want to do it again situation. I've heard so many different rumors at this point, but I think anything would be welcome! I love DHS but I can see myself just adoring it if it got the right re-do!

HOORAY for TSMM! But what a bummer that you had a broken gun... I have to say, I love your attitude about it though. You're just having fun breaking plates, so who cares if the gun is broken?! Plus, you kicked major booty on it regardless of the broken gun!

Hah thank you! I think it's impossible for me to NOT have fun on that ride!

The Green Army guy is kind of creepy.. I mean, he has no face!

Really though... hahah.

YAY FOR BRAVE!! I loved that movie and seriously hope I get to meet Merida during our trip!

I hope yall get to as well! Ugh, I came SO CLOSE... but that is a story for another day (in the distant future... since said story happened on our last day).

I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE That's So Raven! She is hilarious! She's seriously awesome and yeah, I really miss that show! Hahaha I love the Cheetah Girls!

OMG NOW I'm thinking about Zenon! Please tell me you remember THAT movie! Zoom zoom zoom, make my heart go boom boom... My supernova GIRL!

HAHAHHA OH MY GOSH. Blast from the past is an understatement!!!! :lmao:

Ahem, anyway... YAY for Friendship Boats! I lovelovelove them so much. They are seriously up there with my favorite mode of Disney transportation.

Me too! I don't really get why people don't enjoy them. Hahha oh well.

Boardwalk does look really amazing! I would totally stay there in the event that we couldn't get a room at Beach Club. :goodvibes

OH HI BEACH CLUB! I SEE YOU!

They're such beauties!!!

My guess is you guys are going tooooo Le Cellier! Or Akershus... Oh I can't decide, hahaha. :rotfl:

Welp! The good news is that you don't have to decide! But yeah, you're right!

Deluxe Resorts.........

Polynesian and Beach Club.

Both for location (obviously). Also for food though. Meaning, Beach Club has great access to food (walking to Epcot, hello!), and I love the food at the Poly too. Poly has always been my favorite resort though.

YES. Those are both perfect! Hahah I feel like at the Poly you'd never even have to leave the resort to eat!

Dude, it is like 37 miles to get to your seat at LMA. I am indifferent to the show, only because seeing it once was enough for me.

IT IS. Hahha exactly. Once was definitely enough! I'd imagine seeing it again could get pretty boring! They should have thought that one through...

I did tell them buuuuut we had to leave. WAHHHH.

He is too cute. He could have cared less. Love that kid! Hahha thank you, thank you. *bows* (Where's a smiley like that when you need it?)

Haha, your parents look so cute on the boat!

They are precious.

::yes::

Thank you ever so much!!!

I KNOW! Like, this is exactly what I'm saying! I literally can't pick. I want to stay at all of them!

OH MY GOSH. That UP idea is actual genius. WOW. That would be amazing! I want Monsters Inc as well!!!! Ahhhh the possibilities are endless!!! (Can you tell this makes me really excited? HAHA.)

Hahah those are some very popular choices, I must say! (And for good reason!) Seriously though, if you were staying at the Poly you could basically spend all your dining credits without even leaving your resort! You could hit up Kona and 'Ohana twice each, once for breakfast and once for dinner (or lunch at Kona... I think they serve lunch, at least?) Then you could spend your quick service credits at Captain Cook's. Seriously though! Hahahah.

Yeah, I liked it too. But that's exactly what I mean! I liked it, but I don't think I'd be interested in seeing it again. There are some shows that you can see over and over again (like Festival of the Lion King for me) but I just don't think that's one of them!

The One With Some Lunch, Eh?

July 30, 2012

The friendship boat docked at EPCOT! We entered through the International Gateway. I love entering back there. Every time I’ve done it, there’s barely been anyone around! It’s special.

So when we got inside Epcot, we were going to go straight to our lunch destination.

I knew where it was, naturally.

The rest of my family didn’t.

I told them I knew where I was going.

Never fear yall, Marissa is here.

So they trustingly followed along.

Or that’s what they should have done, in my mind.

They went to consult a MAP.

:faint:

I hung my head in shame. Did they not realize they had a DISer in their midst? DID THEY NOT?

Well, no. Clearly they did not.

SIGH!!!!

This is EPCOT, not the Mall of America! I’ve got this under control.

I walked on ahead of them, determined to prove that I didn’t need a MAP.

I was so focused on getting to our lunch destination SANS MAP, that I didn’t realize that my family had stopped behind me.

I turned around, and scanned the crowd.

About 50 feet back, my family was in line to meet ALICE.

WAHHHHHH!

Listen yall, this is what happens when you try to be a smart know-where-it-all-is.

I don’t even know how I missed her. Hahah oh well, someday I’ll meet that precious little English chippie.

IMG_3289.jpg

IMG_3290.jpg

I took other pictures, not of (or with) Alice.

SDC12933.jpg

SDC12934.jpg

What a quaint little village we’d found ourselves in.

Okay, so THEN we went to our lunch destination.

SDC12935.jpg

SDC12936.jpg

Yep! We were eating at the cellar, yall. It was an exciting moment.

Oh, and I learned that it’s pronounced in a fancy French way. Listen, I was under the impression it was pronounced, “LEH CELL-EEEE-ER.” Pardon my country-ness.

I went to check us in, and the host told us we could go on inside. Don’t mind if we do, host!

On the way, we had to stop and admire the beautiful gardens!

IMG_3292.jpg

Well, aren’t they cute?

SDC12937.jpg

SDC12938.jpg

SDC12939.jpg

I was just in awe of how pretty it all was! This was the first time I was actually seeing it all in person, because this was our first time eating at Le Cellier!

We went inside and had to wait about 15 minutes until we were taken to our table.

Please forgive me in advance for the lack of and quality of these pictures. That place is dark and none of us wanted to be those annoying people that kept flashing their cameras.

SDC12941.jpg

Our waitress was… interesting? She was nice, I suppose, but she was also extremely blunt. It was a little bit off-putting. (I don’t mind blunt-ness, but it just seemed odd for a waitress.) She did the job, so that’s all we cared about. We were there for the food.

Just so you all know, I didn’t prompt my family at all. I didn’t go in and say “EVERYONE RAVES ABOUT THE SOUP AND THE FILET AND YOU MUST GET IT NOW.” I knew what I wanted to try based on what looked the most appealing to me, and it just so happened to be the most popular thing. What are ya gonna do?

Anna and Jacob ordered from the prix-fixe menu where you get an appetizer, entrée, and dessert as part of the meal plan. They didn’t set out to do that, but both of their entrée selections were part of that menu so the waitress let them know they could do that and end up with basically free appetizers that we could all share. So, why not? They both picked the cheddar cheese soup.

Before long, the soups and breads came out!

I basically ignored everything except the PRETZEL BREAD.

I LOVE SOFT PRETZELS. MORE THAN YOU COULD POSSIBLY IMAGINE. SO I WAS REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS PRETZEL BREAD AND IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!!!!

I dipped in once or twice into the soup, but hot soup + hot day does not make for a very happy me (aka it makes me sick) so I only had a tiny bit.

SDC12942.jpg

I don’t even know what the other bread is, nor do I care.

SDC12943.jpg

For her entrée, Anna picked the Chicken Caesar Salad. She just wasn’t feeling anything on the menu at the time, and yes, she regretted it later. Jacob got the Le Cellier House Burger. They both enjoyed their meals.

My parents and I all got the same thing: the Wild Mushroom Filet with mashed potatoes instead of risotto. My parents thought it was delicious and were very happy with it! It was my first steak EVER, yall. I’d had bites of other people’s steaks before, but never one of my own. I really liked it, but it turns out I’m not really a steak person. I don’t see myself wanting to order another one any time soon, even though I did enjoy it.

(That is the one of only two pictures we used flash for the entire meal! Hahah.)

Our waitress told us that as long as two people ordered dessert from the prix menu, that the other three could order whatever. That worked out really well, because my mom and I both wanted the MOOSE. Everyone else ordered the White Chocolate Cheesecake, which they all really enjoyed! (I had a pic of that, but once again, I have no clue what happened! So sorry.)

Here is the MOOSE:

I know you’ve all seen 89,000 pictures of this, but I couldn’t help it! It’s the cutest thing!

It was really good! It was EXTREMELY rich though, and after a meal full of rich foods, I couldn’t come close to finishing it! I let Anna finish it, since her salad didn’t have the same effect on her. :lmao:

The mousse itself was delicious and I loved the cookie ‘tongue’, as disgusting as that sounds. I’d heard the antlers were made out of cookies as well, but they were actually white chocolate maple candies! They were delicious as well.

When we were all done (and STUFFED), we paid using our Dining Plan, left the interesting but nice waitress a tip, and headed out of the restaurant.

Overall, we enjoyed it. I’m glad I got to go while it was still a 1-credit restaurant for lunch. Because of the fact that it will be 2-credits for all meals in the future, I can’t see myself wanting to return very soon. We like to go to the 1-credit places.

We decided to go check out the waterfall behind the restaurant afterward!

It’s beautiful back there! Canada is such a gorgeous pavilion! We thought about seeing the Canada movie, but we passed. (That doesn’t mean we didn’t see it another day, though!)

SDC12947.jpg

We decided to head back out of Epcot. Along the way, we passed Off Kilter playing a set!

Goodbye for now, World Showcase!

Back to the friendship boats for us!

Continued in Next Update

OH MY GOSH. That UP idea is actual genius. WOW. That would be amazing! I want Monsters Inc as well!!!! Ahhhh the possibilities are endless!!! (Can you tell this makes me really excited? HAHA.)

You actually inspired my UP idea, because I had never dreamt that up until typing that comment! People always want Soarin' to have a new video for some reason (IDK why? Some want it different than Cali, some want all over the US, IDK. Weird to me.) But really, making it UP-themed would be SUCH perfection. I really should be an Imagineer.

So sad you missed Alice! One year, I was at MNSSHP meeting the princesses and princes, and Landon stayed with my dad who waited by the M&G exit and apparently Alice just came out and played with Landon one on one the whole time! I was so excited and when I came out, I didn't know Landon had already met her and brought him over and she was like "Oh my little Landon" like they were old pals. It was so adorable. I love her.

Le Cellier! I have never been there. I know it's supposed to be so fabulous, but I always think it sounds a little overhyped. I think my opinion of it would be about the same as yours and I AM a steak person. Especially since it is a 2 TS. I would rather go to Cali Grill or Flying Fish or something if I was going to use 2 TS's.

Yay for Canada!! It really is a gorgeous pavillion! I love the architecture and the flowers!

I'm glad you enjoyed your meal at LC! They must have changed the ears to candies - they were definitely cookie when we were there! Candy sounds better, I think! :thumbsup2

I don't want Soarin' to change, but it's so popular that a similar ride would be awesome! And yes. You totally should. Make it happen. ;)

I was sad too! Silly me. Awww that is the cutest story! I love it. She is really precious!

Yeah, I'm glad we got to go when it was still 1-credit, and I agree, it is a little overhyped. We enjoyed it, a lot. But not enough to want to basically pay double for it again, you know? Now if they could serve that pretzel bread in more places, I'd be very happy. :rotfl:

Me too! It's beautiful everywhere you look!

Thanks! Hahah I think they must have too! I remember thinking that they were smaller than I thought they'd be, and then I tasted them... and that's why they were. They were so yummy!

OMG...I'm not sure I can pick just 2 dream Disney resorts. Hmmm. That is such a hard question. Ok, let's see. I guess my number one dream resort would be the GRAND FLORIDIAN. I've just been in love with it ever since I was a kid. I remember my mom pointing it out to me once when we were on the ferry going to the MK, and I've just been fascinated with it forever. It's so beautiful, and I will probably never get to stay there. My other would probably be the Poly. I mean, it's the Poly, how could it not be a dream resort! My runners up would be the Boardwalk and the Contemporary. Basically, all of the deluxes are my dream resorts! :cool1:

YAY Le Cellier! :yay: I LOVE that place! I can understand not wanting to eat a lot of the soup in the middle of the summer, but wasn't it good? Ahhhh I can't wait to eat there again!

Those ears they are putting on the chocolate moose are different, I think...they usually are cookies, and they're usually bigger! I love that dessert! It's really rich, though, but still, I manage to stuff it down somehow! :rotfl:

Canada is such a beautiful pavilion, one of my favorites! I like the movie, but we skip it a lot too, I wish there were seats in there!

Hahaha I don't know why I said two, now that I think about it! I love all the deluxe resorts as well! It's honestly so hard for me to pick my top favorite, but I will say that Grand Floridian was my FIRST dream resort! (Yes, it was because of Full House, but STILL.) I just love all those monorail resorts so much! My mom and I were talking about the fact that we are now basically spoiled after staying on the monorail. So basically, be prepared for that to happen to you when you stay at BLT as well! :lmao:

It was really good! I really liked my food but I just don't think I'm a steak person! I feel like I'm contradicting myself, I can't really explain me. I'm weird! Hahah.

Yeah, they must be! I was happy though, I got to have the cookie tongue and the candy antlers, which were really really good. I bet you'll like them too! Hahah well this is me we're talking about, I didn't want to get sick again and I honestly thought I might if I kept eating that moose!

Mine too! We saw it later in the week though! Yeah, the China movie doesn't have seats either! I wonder why???

Hahaha, I love how your family still stopped at the map. And I totally agree BTW, coming in through the International Gateway is where it's at! :thumbsup2 It's always so quiet and nice over there.

I feel like that is a really good Alice!

Aww, I love the England/Canada area! It's just so cute and perfect. Plus, I love calling people on the phones in England; their reactions are always hilarious. :rotfl:

Le Cellier! I haven't been there yet, but I have to be honest... I just feel like reviews are so in the middle, so I'm not too upset we haven't been yet. However, that's a fantastic use of a 1-TS credit, but I agree with you, 2 TS, it's just not worth it! So I probably will never go there... even though that moose looks awfully adorable and delicious.

I love that waterfall! We were looking at it during last trip and I started laughing really hard because there was a SHOE just hanging out on one of the cliffs. Did someone just decide to chuck their shoe?! I don't know, but it was random. :confused3

YAY FOR MORE FRIENDSHIP BOATS! Back to DHS I'm guessing, yayayay!

Hahah I know. Those frumps. WHERE IS THE TRUST, I ASK? :lmao:

I feel like that is a really good Alice!

I know! How cute is she? I would have loved to meet her wahhhh.

I do too! Hahah I still haven't done that...

Most of the reviews I've read have been wonderful, but we mainly went because my dad thought it looked really cool. I'm glad I got to go though! I just can't justify basically paying double for the same exact meal, you know? I'd spend two credits on Cinderella's, or California Grill, or something like that. But not something I paid one credit for in the past. BUT oh yes, the moose is awesome!

HAHAHA uhhh... what?! That reminds me of when I saw a lone baby shoe at MK in December! What is with people abandoning their shoes in Disney?? :rotfl2:

YAY FOR MORE FRIENDSHIP BOATS! Back to DHS I'm guessing, yayayay!

YEAH!!! No complaints from me on that one! Hahha, yes, you'd think that, wouldn't you? ;)

Trying to get a group of people from one place to another in Disney can feel like herding cats. I had the same character-detour thing happen in March on we were on our way to TOY STORY MANIA?!?!?! Geez, don't people understand that TSM>Piglet in the early morning? Sigh. Anyway, back to your lunch...

I loooooooove Le Cellier and reading about your meal made me a little sad that we're skipping it in October (though it is in the plans for January!).

I'm glad you got to try the pretzel bread/cheddar cheese soup combo, I don't care how hot it is outside, it's a must-eat for me. My bigger problem is I'm never hungry for a whole steak when it's hot outside, so luckily Franklin is willing to share with me when we go there. Awwwww, isn't he sweet?

Back on the Friendship Boats? Could you be heading back for a little more time in Hollywood?

Why is it that people always question where you're going at the most inopportune times? My Dad did that once in Europe, and I was all like "dude...you've been following me around the whole time, and NOW you decide that you are doubting my skills?"

Missing Alice? For shame. You had tunnelvision. You couldn't help but think about the fact that you had a reservation at Le Cellier. Whenever we get to reservation time, I'm like "move it move it move it!!!!"

You've never had your own steak?! Shame on you country girl! :rolleyes1

Gotta love the Moose. Seriously, my mom always writes it that was in her trip journals. "Had the chocolate moose for dessert". :lmao:

I cannot handle the Le Cellier is 2 table service credits for dinner. I like the restaurant, but I do not believe that it is worth 2 of my dang credits.
