Really? I need a blizzard whiteout on top of everything else?!?! I told Matt lastnight I didn't know I have moved to freaking North Dakota. I sooo deserve even a bigger present for valentines in additon to the this weekend's snow fall.

Ya'll be careful in this weather. If you haven't seen it yet, it's coming your way and it's not pretty.

I am beyond disgusted with the weather. We have 2 feet on the ground already and was finally dug out, and now we're getting another 16-20" on top of that 2 feet! Holy snowfall!!! I have no idea when we'll be able to leave the house.

Some streets here haven't seen a plow yet from the 1st storm and now they'll have up to 3 1/2 FEET or more on their roads that need to be cleared. Unbelievable.

I am so ready for summer.

Hang in there. Be careful and try not to overdo it with the shoveling. Take breaks when needed.

I agree. I'm in western MD and we're in a bad way. I'm glad i stocked up on wine and food. We were supposed to fly out to WDW this morning, then I changed our flights to tomorrow morning, then again to tomorrow afternoon....this morning I cried Uncle and emailed our TA. We're going to go April 23-30 instead. I am on the phone with SWA rebooking flights.

ENOUGH ALREADY! I am snow OVER this snow.

I am really trying to be positive about all this. I haven't left my house since Friday. I'm going a bit stir crazy. This weather has me just feeling overwhelmed and so out of my element. Everytime I hear a creek of the roof or the trees I'm looking up worried.

I'm trying to tough and get this but holy cow this weather is insane. It's not like I was reading the witner survival guide during the 100 degree summers of Arkansas.

I feel so bad for you stranded there without Matt...luckily most of this storm missed us..so far..we got about 5" overnite, but now the winds are picking up..this is only the second bad winter we have had since I moved to MD in 2000..so hang in there..it seems to only hit every 10 years or so!...
That line about the blizzard and Dairy Queen cracked me up..so true!
Hope Matt feels really sorry for you on Valentines Day..and keep hoping, maybe that little blue bag from Tiffany's will show up..and actually have something nice in it!

We are in Western MD too..Cumberland,, and we only got about 6" out of this storm..to go with the 22" we got over the weekend...the winds aren't too bad right now..but are supposed to pick up...sorry you had to postpone your WDW vacation, though..that really sucks..but now you can look forward to going in GOOD weather!

It really is bizarre... we are in Maine an our snow is old, dirty, crusty March looking snow. It was 45* here yesterday.... it's gonna be in the 30's today.... this is great weather for us in February.

We've never got this much snow here, that I can remember. I mean our amounts haven't been huge, but at more than three snowfalls 3" or over, that's unsual for here. And it's been so consistant. Usually we get only two or three "significant" snows a winter.

This is our second day out of school and I'm glad. I had to call in sick on Monday (I work at school) with a killer stomach flu and I still feel like I've been hit by a truck. The rain inbetween snowfalls is what did us in this time. Everything was frozen and we had a lot of accidents.

I do hear there will be more on Sunday or Monday. Let me tell you, I love snow days, but I'm starting to not want any more. Still, I'd rather venture out and go to work/school when it's sunny out than when it's frozen over and below 20 degrees outside.

It's not "just snow" when your city is not able to take care of it. We just don't have the manpower or machinery to ready the roads and clear out the snow. I grew up in Michigan and we did have snow all the time, but it was expected and taken care of. This is much, much different.
