That happens to me with my car keys - I drop them between the driver's seat and the console at least once a month, and I have to get on my hands and knees in the back seat and use a stick to get them out.

I do that with my phone sometimes. Why do they make it so hard to reach down there?

Actually, I was talking about me since I'm the one that owns all the good toys to keep me from getting on my hands and knees. But, if the shoe fits (or gets pushed under the couch and you have to throw a ball under it so the dog will go get it).
