This absolutely MORTIFIES me.

With that email code (that I'll never get), 2 adults will go the same time I am, stay at the same hotel, for the same amount of time - And pay less for 2 than I'm paying for 1.

No, no, no. I am SURE that you could use a code like this and pay less than the $866 for just yourself. Unfortunatly the descriptions of codes from Disney are meant for people not like DISers! They are meant to grab people that fit into a category, and get them to think they are saving big bucks by looking at a bottom line instead of simply saying save $30 a night on your room or $40 on tickets. They put up a final cost so normal people will say, "wow going to WDW isn't as expensive as I thought."

If this comes out, you WILL save money as long as you can get a room!

It breaks down at about $72 a night for hotel and tickets - I'm staying for 8 nights and it breaks down to about $119 for both per night!

I beg to differ. A PIN code recently came out for the same days as the general code for the fall, and it was the SAME discount!! Of course this came after the general code, whereas this PIN is coming out before a general. Also there were deluxe resorts available using the email that weren't available using the general code. Also some people could have got different emails...so basically who knows!

And I'm not saying that it will be the same exact thing. All I was saying is because we JUST had a email be the same thing as the general code that this MIGHT be what we get--or something similar. I'm not saying I know anything. I'm just hoping!

Oh man, I hope so!! I don't have a trip booked. But there is a teenie-tiny possiblity that my DH will be in Orlando for a training session. I've been working the website wondering if we could swing a trip going with him!! This could brink us that much closer!!!

If a code does come out for Jan/Feb for a WDW package, can I book 3 people (1 adult, 2 kids (ages under 9)) and add an extra adult later for the same adult discounted price? Or would this jeordize me getting the discount? Or better yet, perhaps I should book it with two adults, 2 children and then can I cancel 1 adult if need be without losing the discount?
Reason: I am taking the two kids on my own this trip, but my mom may be joining us but due to illness in the family (my dad) I won't know until last minute if she can make the trip or not.

Any info. would be grreatly appreciated.
I am psyched about this possible discount. I honestly didn't think there would be one available for our vacation dates.
We are planning on staying at POP Dec 31 (no discount that night) and then POP Jan 1 -8 (value rate). If need be, I will stay at POP Dec 31 and then switch to any other value (preferably ASMu) the other nights. We are not planning on touring until Jan 1 so this works out perfect for us.
Can anyone tell I am EXCITED! Sorry for the rambling.

I've already booked a room only for 2 nights at AKL using AAA discount, but would love to reduce it further if possible.


Have also booked 6 nights at AsMo with dining and 1 base ticket using AAA travel agent

But the more $ it reduces, the more $ I could have for Souvies

Just starting to plan spring vacation and still tossing around Disney or Mayan Riviera. DH says "but we went to Disney last year" he so doesn't get it.

Sorry OT , but I can totally relate. Even though we are going to SW Florida for two weeks this Dec (then 8 nights at Disney without DH), for next trip after that DH is saying "no disney", but either the Mayan Riv or Cozumel! AND, he is requesting "No children on that trip"!!!

Sometimes! Some people report being able to do this (it seems like you can more often than not), but sometimes the code is only limited to very few rooms, and if you aren't flexible to your resort, it can be hard to get the discount. When Disney releases a discount they always have a certain number of rooms for the discount, once those are gone you can still get them, but only when other people cancel. This past fall's discount was primarily for the value resorts, so it was really hard to get a discount for the deluxes.

That said, if you try within the first few days after the code is released you should have no problem.

as far as the PIN codes go, I got one in May for the free dining promo...it was the identiacl package released to the general public weeks later.

I see MLK weekend is blacked out, too....that can't be good, crowd-wise

As for MLK day, I think overall WDW will be more crowded than we've all gotten used to. As we saw with the fall discount, rooms were not as plentiful as they had been with past discounts. And the discounts have not been as good. I still think MLK week will be a good time to go if you have to. IMO it's better than June!

Some one just posted on another thread that when they called to ask about room only discounts, they were told to call back on 11/3. That's when this deal is supposed to be bookable (and probably when it will be released)
