Oh Boy! Looks like a 2006 MYW discount is in the works

How do these deals work if you decide you want to stay more than 6 nights?

Do they add on the extra nights at the regular rate, or at the same reduced rate as the promotion is offering?

I've already booked for in the time frame through CAA. When the discount is announced do I go through them to try and get the reduced rate or do I phone disney direct and try to get it applied to my package?

If you booked through a travel agent, only your travel agent can make any changes to your reservation.

So would I just phone my CAA office and ask them to inquire about the dicount?

OK, I haven't had my coffee yet, so be kind............ I'm confused!!!! ( what's new) Anyway, could someone answer my question.

I have a MYW package with dining and hoppers booked, and paid for, at AKL for Jan. 29 - Feb. 3, 2006. Would I be able to use this discount?? It says it's for the MYW package. I wouldn't be upset at all if I could save a little bit for other goodies!!

Thanks so much!!!

As long as there are rooms available with the code for AKL, you should be able to apply the code to your reserved room. Since it's paid for, you'll get a refund from Disney. :teeth: Right now we have no idea how many rooms will be available at any of the resorts, but I assume it'll be more than the fall code had.

But once again, my answer is based on past deals. We never know what Disney will throw at us!

Should I go ahead a book something with AAA now, and then change it when the new discount comes out, or wait until the new discount comes out. We are going March 4th.

It's up to you. Most people will tell you to book now, so you know you have a room, and with AAA some type of discount. But after this last round of codes when it seemed like everyone with AAA got shafted, I decided to avoid AAA. If you book a package with AAA ONLY your agent can make changes. So you have to depend on your agent to get the discount for you. It seems like good AAA agents are few and far between. I went with Dreams Unlimited, because I know that they will do everything they can to apply a code to my reservation right away without me even asking. They even make my ADRs for me, so I don't have to worry about being on the phone. You'll have to call your AAA agent to get them to do anything, and then wait and hope they get it. Look at some of the AAA threads on this board. Good luck with your decision!

On the flipside I definitely remember seeing that there was a SEPARATE AAA code for the fall discounts which saved people even more money. But like harleyquinn said I'd read the AAA threads before making a final decision :wave2:

Good point! I think it was the first AAA only code we've seen. If you want to go AAA, try calling Michelle Shears (do a search for her number). She specializes in Disney. With her, you'll have the best of both worlds, your vacation booked, and an agent that will get the discounts for you.

Okay, I've posted on this thread entirely too many times.

Jan 2-7....so I should call her once the deal is announced to get it 'added' to my package, haven't paid in full yet....hoping it's a good savings. Thanks for the heads up but now I'll be anxiously awaiting it! Time drags when you're waiting for a deal! ;o)

Now that you've booked, I think you have to go with the agent you booked with. If you call Michelle she might be able to take over for your trip. With the package through AAA, you have up to 45 days before your trip to cancel for a full refund.

November 3 is going to take forever to get here!

This is the warm and fuzzy email details going around: REMEMBER THIS IS A PIN EMAIL--NOT A GENERAL CODE!

"Have a warm and fuzzy vacation. At a cozy little price.

6 nights / 7 days at Select Disney Value Resorts
US$433 per adult* based on adult double occupancy in a standard room
Most nights Jan 1 - 12 and Jan 16 - Feb 15, 2006
Room + Tickets + Park Hopper Option + Water Park Fun & More!**
And even better, add up to two kids in the same room for
$172 per child ages 3-9."

The offer says it is based on double adult occupancy, but can anyone tell me what the single supplement would be? This is in case only 3 of us end up going ( 1 adult and 2 kids).
I hope I don't get flamed for this, but I like having a couple of weeks to look at ALL my options before the code is actually released. Just gives me more time to work out all possible scenarios before I talk to CRO Nov. 3.

Not flameworthy at all!
Unfortunatly we won't know the answer to that until the code actually comes out. When it does, you should call Disney, and they will tell you. Then come report what they say here! i know Boomhauer wants that answer as well. I'm sure there are other Disers in your boat!

Hoping for FREE dinning or a really good package deal. Please please please... :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Thanks Sarah!!! I'll be on the phone ASAP once it comes out!!!

How "sure" is the Nov. 3 date???

Anyone know what the chances are of the new code being good during presidents week? (February 18-25) I really want to book a trip for that week, but I think in past years those dates were blacked out.

summerrluvv,

I think your right about those dates usually being blacked out for deals, but I could be wrong. I will be staying at AKL Feb 11-21 and booked using the BRP. There were no restrictions, and I lucked out because my start of my trip is towards the end of value season (ends Feb 15 peak season starts Feb 16) and I got the value season rate for my whole trip.

Is the air fare that you can get with a Disney package ever discounted with these codes?

We are planning a 4 day trip the last week on Jan or the first week of Feb, this deal would be so much better and only add a few hundred to the bill.
:ssst:Shhhh! I hope it doesnt bring as many as the free dining did, the first week of Oct. was rough compared to last year and we were hoping for much lighter crowds in Jan/Feb.
Not that it matters, all of Florida could be there and I would still be happy being @ Disney and being with my sweeties!
