Oga's Seating

Since we are locals, We have been fortunate to go on several times. It's a very crowded space. Is it really cool? omg yes its so cool! If you have had your vaccines, follow the protocols you should be fine. When its crowded in there, it make's the space seem more like the movies to me. I'm a Stars Wars fan to some extent, like the movies and everything, I'm not into dressing up or anything like this, but Oga's is just over the top. I can't wait to take my Grandson there, just as soon as the vaccine is available for the 6 year olds.

Yeah, they are definitely putting different parties together, both in the booths and at the standing tables.

Probably, but the bar is very crowded too. I think I read in another thread that when someone was given a “spot” at the bar, they were given a spot in the 2nd row behind a party that was at the bar. Not sure if it was DW or DL. We were at a standing table with another party and were within a couple of feet of people standing at the bar.
We also had an after hours reservation 50 minutes after the park closed, still had to wait another 15 minutes or so to be seated, and it was still crowded for the person who thought after hours may be less crowded.

I’m not sure if they accommodate requests but I agree with the previous poster that the bar area was also crowded. That is part of the atmosphere they’re going for, a crowded slightly seedy bar…

Yes, it is communal seating, just like it was before COVID.

Yes. Both at standing tables and at booths, you will now be placed with another party, unless your party is rather large in number.

That's not good at all. We are 5/6 vaccinated but do not feel comfortable sharing a table with strangers. We are a group of 6 but our reservation is for 10 (4 people canceled do to COVID). We may check it out but order our drinks to go.

We were there on July 4, a party of four (two adults, two kids) and we had to stand but had our own space. I preferred that over the people I saw sitting together that weren’t in the same party. Call me crazy, but I don’t think I’d like that even if it weren’t for Covid.

It was a real bummer to experience how packed Oga's was last week. I wasn't prepared for the vast difference between this past spring and the current set up. I went into the trip with it being a must do, and sadly I no longer feel that way.

I won't stress if I can't get a ADR. We have gone in DL and WDW. Our first time was all WOW, took lots of pictures and got a beverage. This time at WDW, we've seen it before and it was amazing the detail they went to create it, took fewer pictures, got drinks and tried a snack. Drink and snack just okay. The whole experience was average but with that said our entire visit was just average.

We decided to keep our 9:55 Oga's reservation this past weekend. We checked in around 9:20 and asked them if we could get a booth since we had small kiddos. They were incredibly nice about it and said absolutely we could get a booth, but it might be a few more minutes of a wait. We were called back at 9:30. They were not seating multiple parties per booth, and it was very spaced out inside (same as our previous two trips during covid). We had a great time and got out of there right at 10. Granted, we had a post-close reservation and it was low crowds our entire trip, but just thought I would update in case anyone else is going in the next few weeks and was trying to make a decision.

. Good stuff! We have a 9:50 on 9/14. We were getting a little worried with all the Covid/communal seating talk. Thanks for the update!

On 8/20 they were still putting parties together. I think the after park closing and requesting a private table would be the best chance of having some distancing. We had an 8:50pm ADR on a 9pm closing night. Our party of 4 was seated at a booth that had another party finishing up. When they left we had about 10 minutes before the next party of 5 was seated with us. We kept around a foot or so of space between our parties. We also kept our masks on until we had our drinks and Batuu bits (and the other party did the same.). We're all fully vaxxed (3-4 mths ago), so we felt ok with the situation. I did tell our group that we got the best possible arrangement...got an actual seat and the booths have some natural distancing built in, so it's just whoever you're seated with vs all the people standing around you at the standing tables/bar.
