I read that they plan to allow offsite guests to participate in FP+, but haven't heard any update on this recently.

Does anyone know how this part of the system will work for offsite guests?

I assume that you will need to buy an RFID ticket and link it to the MDE app system. As you won't be able to link your accommodation booking as staying offsite, how will the app know when you are staying? Do you think that you will just put in your actual holiday dates and it will then automatically allow you to book the FPs in advance?

They haven't even began testing on this however I would guess you will need to link a valid ticket to MDE and then you will be allowed to book as many days FP+ as you have days tickets.

Until testing commences we won't know however I would not expect anything until early next year on this.

From what I've read, once the system is rolled out to offsite guests, you will be issued with an RFID ticket/card, but there is supposed to be an option for offsite guests in the (distant?) future to be able to purchase a magic band for those who would prefer this option to the card style ticket. As I understand it, eventually offsite guests will also be able to make their reservations 60 days out, but the onsite guests will have the ADR "+10" benefit.

Of course, as Tracy says, it's all so up in the air at the moment as they havent' even completed the onsite testing yet so anything can change between now and whenever they start working on finalizing the offsite options
