We are looking for a non-dom. Officiant for our Memories collection wedding. We are both not very religious, so we just want a simple cerenomy. We would really like to try and keep the price down as much as possible. I know that this is not something to be stingy on(considering there actually marrying you) Anyone have any suggestions?

If you wouldnt mind sharing names/prices/contact info would be awesome!

Ron Rosenzweig is great. He's a notary rather than a reverend and he wears a suit rather than robes. I think he charges a slightly smaller fee than most of the reverends do as well. At the time of our wedding it was $175 for his services.

We had him for our ceremony back in November and we couldn't be happier. He was very warm and friendly, walked us through everything and read out our personal verse word perfect. Ron even toasted our happiness as we had no guests at our wedding. We would highly recommend him!

A word of caution though his email responses although prompt are very business like and I found it difficult to find his personality through them but when you meet him it's a whole other story. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! I actually just contacted Ron. He seems like exactly what we are looking for. It will also just be the two of us! $175 is great!

I second Ron....he was just perfect for us. We chose him because of the same reasons, wanting a non-denominational non-religious ceremony. We also were charged the same price. You pay $100 for the retainer and then pay the $75 either in advance or on your wedding day.

Here is a fun picture of us on our wedding day with Ron.

The story of why we are laughing is in my planning journal/trip report. We also liked how he was dressed in a suit. He was very patient with us before the ceremony and was very sweet to my children. My son was very nervous about his part. :goodvibes

We are using Rev. Jack Day for our May 16th Escape wedding. We haven't met him yet, but have spoken on the phone numerous times and he seems like such a sweet, southern man. He sent us a bunch of ceremony options, which we could either use as is or alter to fit our taste. He doesn't charge a deposit, and our paperwork says cost will be between $200-$300. HTH!

We are going to use Rev. Kevin Knox for our upcoming October 2011 Wishes wedding. He was recommended by our wedding planner, and although we haven't met in person, we have spoken over the phone and through emails many times already. He sent us a planning kit which contained a TON of options for our ceremony. He charges $225 for the ceremony, and an extra $100 for the rehearsal (optional). HTH!

We used Luther Kistler, who we absolutely loved! We could not have made a better choice - he was only $150 and was simply a joy to work with!

I'm so glad you posted about Luther Kistler, that is who I'm using! I really haven't seen anything on here about him, and he is no longer listed in the Disney planning pack.

I don't know why, I just really liked that he was a missionary in Japan and that made me love him....and I'm not very religious.

I was the same way - I never heard anything about Luther, which was kind of disappointing. But, there is no doubt in my mind that we made the right decision for us - he cracked little jokes when he felt they were needed. At one point during our ceremony, I started to get overwhelmed and he knew immediately - then he lightened the mood and it helped me out! He is amazing, and I highly recommend him!
