Official WW thread!

Yay Scrapperjill on your first week's loss - all your efforts paid off! Keep up the good work and you will be getting clippie's quickly!

Welcome to Banzai - Come to WISH often for help and encouragement, and to the WW thread too for WW specific info, suggestions, and encouragement. WW works wonders if you keep working the program. I am a Lifetime Member, and and a big fan of the flexibility of the program. I returned to active membership after having DS and it worked to get me back to goal. NIce to fit back into old clothes and to be able to shop for new ones in smaller sizes.

Keep it up to all who are here!!!

Hi everyone,

I've been reading all of the past posts and I decided to say "hi"!

I re-joined WW about 3 weeks ago. I lost about 30 pounds about 2 years ago (on WW plan) and then slowly gained it all back!

I went back to work about two years ago and got out of the habit of working out. (I used to work out every morning with a group of my friends after we all dropped the kids at school). I just got out of my routine. It was too hard to go to the gym alone--I sure missed doing it with my buddies!

I recently joined Curves and I enjoy it but, I still wasn't losing any weight. I decided I needed to make my goal of losing 40 lbs happen--that's when I went back to WW. I am so glad that I did! I feel so much better about actually being able to reach my goal now! I have lost 4lbs. in the past 3 weeks! I am very motivated now!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting inspired from all of you on the DIS! I promise to pass on any good info I get from my great WW leader--she is great!

Thanks!
Sue :wave2:

Weigh in was today....I'm down 1.6 lbs from last week. YAY

Way to go Jill! Remember it's not all about the scale. I seem to be an every-other-week looser

Hi Brad and Sue!

I sure someone here can relate...I'm a LM WW who is oh, about 100# above her goal weight. Joined WW again in August with a friend. She has lost 30#, I've lost 10. Could it be that I actually need to follow the plan???

Saturday was my "come to Jesus". It was our first camping trip of the year. I haven't seen many of these friends since last October. Besides my big looser buddy, one of our guy friends looked terrific! He had lost over 35# since November 'whatching what he eats.' When he told my DH and I what he was down too I almost wanted to cry. He weights less than I do. I'm betting I outweigh most of the men in our group. Instead of moping (or munching) I hit my tracker on Sunday with renewed viggor.

Today I am 4 days on program, I have 32 flex points left, and am back to my beloved DIS board. My weight day is Friday this week. Wish me luck.

Teresa

Kristy--good job! Keep up the hard work!

Teresa,

You can do this!! Just take one day at a time! Just keep thinking to yourself that you are doing something to make yourself healthier too!

I can relate to the weight issue--I am shocked at how much I actually weigh! I weigh more than I did when I was 9 months pregnant! I am trying to stay focused on how I feel and that I am starting to fit better in my clothes.

Good luck to you on Friday! My weigh-in day is Saturday. Wish me luck!

Sue

Welll! I managed to stay OP yesterday not bad for a first timer. :)

I even made cookies but instead o follwoing the instructions I used whole wheat flour, low fat marg and I only had 2! :) they were oatmeal too so that should count for SOMETHING right??? lol

LOL I still had 7 points left after dinner so I think I stayed within that what do you think? ;)

Way to go Binny!!!!!

Teresa...I also understand where you're at. Just keep the faith and you'll make it to goal! :)

Sue :Pinkbounc goodluck at your weigh in tomorrow!

I did weight lifting with hubby last night and it felt great!! Tonight we're going to walk away the pounds :)

Next task....Drinking LOTS of water. It's already 11 and so far I've had 9 oz's....just not a thirty person.

You are all terrific! I really appreciate the support. Well Friday was my WW day and I was down 2.8 pounds! YEAH. I went out of town to a rubber stamp show with my sister and girlfriends and stayed OP the entire time.

Sue you are right, one day at time has to be my mantra. My WW leader introduced a new LM at Friday's meetings. She expressed her thoughts on 'how am I going to eat this way the rest of my life?' our leader said the same thing. Don't think of your healthy eating as more than one day at a time.

How did the week go for the rest of you?

Teresa

Well, I had a good week--except that I gained .2 at my weigh-in! I've only lost 4 lbs total!!

I guess it could have been worse (it's that great time of the month! ) Even though I didn't lose, I am not giving up!
I went and worked out afterwards and it felt good to get out all of my aggressions!

I was hoping to have lost 10 lbs. at this point--oh, well! My short term goal is to look better in a swimsuit for our Maui trip on June 30th. My ultimate goal is to lose about 45 lbs. I'll get there eventually!

Thanks to everyone for all of the support!:)

Sue

well I gained .6 pounds :( but no biggie, I had just drank a lot of water and the lady told me that 1 pint of water = 1 pound of water in the body

so Im sure that was it she said " you probably technically lost 2 or 3 pounds but we have to go by what it says now" so, good to know for next time.

Don't give up Sue and Binny - You may have a slow start, but in this game slow and steady wins the race. If it comes off slower it stays off better. Keep up the positive attitude. Summer is coming and you'll be looking and feeling better in no time. Nicer to be out and active this time of year and when eating healthier it gives you better energy too. You can do it!!!!!

I didn't realize it had been so long since I last posted, until I read back through the past few days. Wanted to remind everyone that even if the scale isn't showing all your hard work...it dosen't mean it's not there. And keep in mind that if your exercising you could be gaining lean muscle...which weighs more than fat :D (but looks much better)

Went to weigh in yesterday...:bounce: :bounce: and lost another 3.6 lbs for the week...making it a total of 7.4 :tounge:. So now I'm starting week three and just got my slider for exercise points. Which I've been looking forward to.

And if I did it correctly I grabed my first clippie:teeth:

When I first started WW (a whole two weeks ago) my first plan was to go get the book, figure out my points, learn what I could and do it on my own (thinking I could do all that at one meeting). But after going to the last 3 meetings I am really enjoying the whole thing. Meeting new people and to know them, getting tips and ideas from others, and even listening to the topics at the meeting....I didn't think I would say it but I look forward to Monday night meetings now.

Keep up all the good work everyone. And thanks for the support.

:wave2:

I am loving WW! I have been on it for 9 days and its been great to me! I even splurged last Tuesday at a restrant and still managed to lose weight! FlexPoints are wonderful!

Your new clippie looks great on you Scrapperjill. Glad to hear you like the meetings - that is really the way to go if you can stick with the time to get to the meetings weekly. The nice thing about the progam is the support network and the leaders there to help with questions etc. It is more than just about the food intake. It is creating a whole new attitude and habits in life...hard to do alone.

Bonzai - great to hear you are also loving the program after 9 days. The first weeks are hardest, so if you can wiz by those you'll be in a good routine in no time.

Take care, and everyone have a great end of the week.

Jen

hi ! Hows everyone doing?

I had my first WW loss today! a whoel whopping pound! :) LOL But I will gladly take that!!!

THis week... WATCH out!! Im going to be a big time loser ;) lol

How are you doing this week?

Congrats binny! You've begun your journey! ;)

I lost 2.5 lbs this week for a total of 37! Earned a new clippie, too!

Has anyone else tried the Peanut crisp 2 pts. bars? Oh, I love these! I traded my cousin 4 boxes of choc crisp (which I don't love) for peanut crisp and, I WANT THEM NOW!!! Didn't care much for the PBJ ones, tho. :(

ohhhhhhhhhhh those sound good Kim!

Where did you find them?

Ooo! Do tell Kim! :D Right now I have Special K bars for 2pts. I was so happy when I found out that mom bought Jello Popscicles. They are two points as well. Perhaps we should start a thread on low point snacks :D Happy WISHing, all!
