What a nice surprise for you Scrapperjill - sometimes your body will surprise you! Don't count on it every "bad" week though, it can eventually catch up, but it sounds like you had a lot of nice activity to balance out. I am surprised now that I am in maintenance, how much I can "get away with" - especially if I stay active. I think when people consistantly eat low points your body gets used to it and slows metabolism down. If you can shake things up once in a while, it is a good thing. I've always been a fan of an "every other day" approach to low point eating - if I eat low (or right on target) one day, the next day I make sure to use some flex points to keep my system guessing. Seems to work for me anyway. Good job!!
Banzai - I can't remember are you doing meetings, or online program? If you can hit a WW center, they have some nice hand-outs on how to balance your points (actually I think they may be in the week 1 or 2 materials too). It depends on your lifestyle if you want to do an even split between the Fat/Carb/Protein, or if you favor protein, then cut back in the carb/fat points. They have some pie charts that were helpful in showing a balancing. If you can't get them, PM me and I'll try to scan and send directly.
We have a party tonight, so I am not sure how strict I am going to be, but I will balance out later in the week. I weighed in this past week and was still right at goal, so that is good. We leave for WDW in a week now, and I was actually hoping to be down a couple of extra before we leave to allow for some "fudge room" since we eat different on vacations. Although somehow the extra walking etc seem to balance out ok for me - I've been to WDW in the past and successfully maintained and sometimes lost due to the extra walking - hoping it stays true this time. This trip I will also be chasing a 2 yr old little guy around too, so that should sweat off the extra poundage from a couple of Mickey Bars.
Hope everyone has a great week - I'll try to check in again before we leave.
