Official: WOC dinner packages will be offered at CCT!

I am definitely expecting prices to be high but when I go on vacation I am prepared to splurge. Disney dining options particularly on site have yet to dissapoint me. I really do like the flexibility of the WOC "package" now and am happy that we were able to secure reservations opening day at lunch. I am surprising my friend who is joining us for several days in DL as she has never seen WOC before and it remains our favorite show also.

I also made reservations for dinner for Sunday there as to have a different experience also. The photos so far look amazing and I am very excited to experience it all first hand ! Photos will definitely follow.

Just sent out an email for dinner reservations for July 1. The email reservations have worked wonderfully for me, especially here on the east coast where I'm already at work when their phones open. For each reservation I've requested I get am emailed confirmation close to the time their phones opened each day. I"ll check back once I get a confirmation for July 1. (I had a WCT WOC reservation already that I requested they cancel if the CCT dinner time was available)

OK, got my reservations. My inital request of 5:30 was not available so they offered me 4:30 or 6:50. 4:30 was too early, but 6:50 is very close to show time and I read all the recommendations about lining up early.

I chose the 6:50 and asked if I could get tickets for the second show and their response was (copied from their response) "July 1st is a Sunday and most likely there will be 2 shows for World of Color. All dining before 7:00pm would obtain Fast passes for the 1st show at 9:00pm. Carthay Circle only seats until 8:00pm so you would need to check with the host/hostess as to whether or not you could obtain second show fast passes."

Just passing along the info...

Super excited!

Actually that should be fine for you! Even if you gave yourself an entire hour to eat, the first show doesnt begin until 9 and you will have a full hour minimum to line up after dinner. And it being the dining FP, you shouldnt have to line up more than an hour already. Again, the main problem with the viewing area, but I digress.

Yeah doing further reading about it, it sounds like lunch orders there will be tickets for the first show and dinner orders will have tickets for the second show! So my earlier assumption ALL tickets will just be handed out at first come, first serve basis was wrong thankfully. So thats cool and I imagine similar to what is done at WCT now. I did WCT twice and was seated around 6ish as well for the first show, but the second time it was on a weekday in the fall so it was just one show.

Anyway it sounds like there should be enough tickets for most people who want to see the show, especially if you get in the earlier times for lunch and dinner. I'm scheduled for 1, just two hours after opening.

So...does it mean that if I want to see the 2nd WOC show I have to get a reservation at 7:05 pm? I can only get 1st WOC show at lunch or dinner before 7:00 pm. If I want to see the 2nd WOC, lunch can't be an option for me, right?? :confused3

I'm sure they will always try and make concessions for people whenever they can. Disney tries it best to acommodate people when it can, but it will probably just depends on the circumstances of the day you are there and if they can or cant.

I think generally that will probably be the order of how its done to keep the tickets as balanced as possible for each show. Does WCT only have WOC packages for dinner shows? I think they only do, but not sure obviously.

The REAL question will be when it goes back to the fall and there is only one show per day? I guess they will just divide the tickets up for both shifts.

Your best bet is probably just to call them and ask them directly. I doubt anyone here truly knows, but my guess is that will be the general rule.

Thanks! I will ask about it when I make my reservation in June. Probably there will be more info by then as well.::yes::

Has anyone else wondered if WOC tickets from Carthay will be in a different designated place? The wording sounds like it. Plus, I'm sure these tickets will cost wuite alot more then WCT..since each person must buy 2 items (one being an entree)..at Napa Rose prices, they may feel they have to provide a better view:
"Each guest who orders an entrée and an appetizer, or an entrée and a dessert, will receive a ticket to a center-stage viewing area for the nighttime spectacular, ‘World of Color.’ The restaurant serves guests daily between 11 am and 10 pm".

anyone know?

As I posted in the other thread here is the link directly from Dsineyland.com for the current WCT offerings :

With that said I do think the areas will be different for reasons stated above in earlier posts , obviously nothing is confirmed yet but it would make sense.

I also think they may be enforcing the dining times to correlate with the first or second showings to better equalize the crowds. Just my 2 cents though.

Not according the email I got from dine@disneyland.com when I asked if there was any difference between the viewing areas:

you will receive fast passes for the Center Stage Area of the Paradise Pier viewing platform. It is all one area and the only difference would be the time of the show based on your dining reservation. The blog was addressing dining packages at the new Carthay Circle Restaurant. They do not have a pre-fixed menu as Wine Country Trattoria does. All dining however, will receive fast passes for the same area of the platform.

I apologize if my post sounded like it was confirmed information , It was simply speculation on my end and opinion nothing more. It is more of a wait and see right now - until it actually opens everything is subject to change :)

Well thats a possibility but that would be really dirty lol. I cant think of one place I ever paid that much for a burger, especially at a Disney park, but you never know!

If I'm paying $20 for a burger that I can pay half everywhere else in the resort, that better be ONE good burger! ;)

On another thread here, someone posted that an image of the dinner menu from Carthay Circle restaurant has been posted on MouseWait. The picture cuts off right through the last line of the burger description so it's hard to see, but it really looks to me like the burger is $22 if the menu photo is to be believed. Not surprised. Disappointed a little maybe, but not surprised.

I am looking forward to reporting back with photos and reviews on June 15th after our lunch reservation !

We also have dinner reservations for Sunday the 18th as well. I'll be checking back with others for updates :)

LOL, holy crap! $22 for a burger and fries? I'm practically speechless! I thought ok, $15 is a bit more, but reasonable considering the environment. Then I convinced myself if it go to $18, it would be reaching, but still manageable. But to hear its now that ridiculous is absurd! I will be curious to see how many people will be paying this price for a burger when they can litterally get it half the price practically most places at the resort which will probably taste exactly the same like the others. That better be one decked out, delicious juices flowing burger! In N Out is one of the best burgers out there and I think the most expensive one is $3.75 lol. But I guess you order one in a swanky place you gotta expect to pay the extra coin for it.

Well, first of all, this is not going to be the same burger you get at a counter service restaurant. This will be fine dining burger, which is completely different. I am confident that Chef Sutton's burgers will be light years ahead of the ones at Hungry Bear.

Secondly, these prices do not seem way out of line. Maybe because I live in California, but fine dining means $30-50 a plate minimum. Now, it remains to be seen if CCT will really be a fine dining place with the service to match. But if it is, it will certainly fill a much needed niche in the parks. People are forking out $30-$40 an entree at the Blue Bayou, which is not fine dining at the least. If I can get a real gourmet experience at CCT, it will seem like a bargain compared to BB. It will also be nice to have a spot for a nice dinner that will be a little nicer to my wallet than Napa Rose. I love Napa Rose, but we always end up spending $150 pp when we dine there. It looks like I might be able to spend less than that at CCT and still have an enjoyable meal.

Couldn't agree more :thumbsup2

Of course, I get all of that, but the most expensive burger anywhere in the resort is about $15! Thats reasonable for a burger even in a high class restaurant. My main point is you can find burgers EVERYWHERE at a fraction of the cost. You cant find a Monte Cristo in many places in the resort and I understand why its more valued at BB and they can charge more! BTW, I ate BB once, to this day I dont get the interest with that place? I know most people go because the atmosphere is cool, but you're right its not gourmet food...you're just paying for one! I might try it again one day, but no, was not impressed!

Again, I plan to eat at CCT, I have reservations first day of opening, but no, I wont be paying $22 for a burger lol. I'm more than sure it will good, but the best burgers I had cost under $10! THATS why burgers are so great because the best ones on the planet doesnt need to cost $30 unlike a steak or a lobster for example. So if I'm going to dish out the money, I'm going to dish it out for food I cant find nearly every place else and that I can normally find at a fraction of the price!

That said though, if I hear REALLY great things about it, then I might be tempted to try it on my second visit there which will actually be the following week! But I'm good with Hungrey Bear!

Ok, so it is just the burger you have an issue with? ;) Well, I am guessing they had to have it on the menu for the folks who are not foodies. And they can't very well charge $40 bucks for one dish and then have the burger be $15. Especially since the room service burger at the GCH is $15! :scared1: So, they had to gussy up a burger and charge $22, which is probably one of the cheaper things on the entire menu. I will probably never order the burger, but I bet you it sells well. :lmao:
