Official Wine & Dine 2014

I'm registered! This will be my first solo trip but I ran the inaugural W&D and couldn't resist doing the 5th year anniversary!

Woah! That was fast. I went ahead and registered, even though I don't have anyone coming with me yet.

I didn't expect it to fill that quickly--I was even hoping I might wait until after Avengers Registration, to make sure I got in for that to qualify for the C2C...so now I guess I have to really be "on it" for Avengers or pay $$$ to a charity or travel agency to get in!

We should plan a solo meet and greet!

I just registered! Was pretty surprised to see it as full as it is already, so I just jumped right in.

Signed up this evening! I was hoping I could put it off a little bit, but seeing it fill so quickly I was scared it would be full when I woke up tomorrow.

WooHoo!! I signed up for the 5k! I've never run one before, so this should be fun! My sister is signing up as well.

Did anyone try to get the discounted park tickets? I followed the link, used the password they gave , but it says it's invalid. Did anyone get it to work?

Do runners have to buy tickets for the finish line party or is it included for those doing the half marathon?

Party is included with the race registration for runners.

Only non-runners (e.g. friends & family cheering) need to purchase tickets to the after party.

Congrats! Disney definitely makes running a little more fun, and can certainly be habit forming. . . you may find yourself in a half marathon before you know it next year! ;)

I just tried the tickets and it didn't work for me either. From looking at the same site for EEC a couple weeks ago I will say that whenever it is operational, I believe it will be case sensitive, so keep it all CAPS whenever you try again.

Registered last night!!! This is my first Disney 1/2, (just did enchanted 10k and royal family 5k) I'm so excited!!!!

I signed up last week since I have an AP and am a DVC member, but figured I should join the fun here! I am running with my college roommate - this will be our 2nd half together. I am running my first half next month - the Nike Women's Half in DC!

I'll go back a few pages and look, but has anyone been able to purchase park ticketes yet? The website keeps saying "code not valid".

Super excited for this race :yay:

Congratulations and:welcome: to all W&D newbies! FWIW, I think I may have mentioned this before (pardon my blonde moment) :faint: but if you're waiting on after-party tix - DON'T! Quite a few peeps waited last year and ended up missing out on what's the best part of the night.:sad1:

Facebook peeps have said instead of WINEDINE2014 drop the 20, and try WINEDINE14.

Good luck.

I didn't go ahead with the purchase, but I can confirm that using WINEDINE14 instead did work to advance to the ticket selection and purchase page. :thumbsup2

92% full?! Whaaaaa????

I know, right? I am not believing it.
This might be the last year for me unless they keep offering dvc/ap early sign ups. I just refuse to jump in the drama of trying to register in a one hour time frame before a race sells out. For one thing I am just not the lucky.;)

I am wondering if a bunch of people are trying to do c2c with the new avengers race? How many of those folks will be disappointed when that race sells out quickly?

Honestly, if we didn't have that legacy thing going, I think it would be much easier to let this go. This is the only disney race I will probably ever be legacy for, so I just keep coming back. :)

DH registered last night after me, so we will both be doing it. This is my second W&D, which also happens to be my second half. This is DH's first official half, but he used to be a long distance runner and has run that distance many many times, just not "officially."

I checked again a bit ago and can't believe it is already at 92%. When I did W&D in 2012, I registered the first day in March and it didn't sell out until the end of July. Not sure about last year since I didn't do it. It is going SO fast this year!

I thought about that, but with the races being only a week apart, I wonder how many are really hoping to sign up for a race in Florida followed by a race in California just a few days later. I'm sure there will be people who will do it, but I'm just not seeing a mass "run" towards that scenario.

This is crazy!
I think DH and I are going to bag it, and focus on the Princess 1/2. I was already having a hard time justifying the cost of a Nov trip and a Feb trip.
Hopefully they will have legacy stuff for the Princess 10K or the Glass Slipper because I actually got in on the beginning of that one.

Have they even mentioned if the Avengers is an official coast to coast?
