The Survivor logo has THREE words on it. Outwit...Outplay...Outlast.
As far as outwit..it depends on your definition of outwitting someone. If you think of this term to mean manipulating people to get them to do what you want, then no, Terry probably hasn't dominated in this area (although I would like to point out that he had his first tribe pretty much at his beck and call). If you think of outwitting someone as beating them in mental challenges, then he's got that part covered.
Outplay....Terry gives every single challenge and every task 110%. When the odds are so stacked against you and you are STILL in the last five, I don't think anyone can argue that you are outplaying the other players. I guess I think of it like a soccer tournament, the last few teams are in the finals because they OUTPLAY the other teams.
Outlast... Once again, I don't see how you can argue this one. To have everyone in the game against you and lasting until the final five...NOW that's the definition of outlasting, IMO
Honestly, I think it comes down to how an individual defines "Ultimate Survivor", and what someone thinks makes a good player. There are no rules in Survivor that say that a finalist who manipulates people with ease is any better than someone who makes it to the end on sheer will and power or vice versa. The point is they made it to the finals...something that 14 other people didn't/couldn't do.
