It is being broadcast in HD this season, could that be the difference?

I was thinking that, but I wasn't sure if HD distorted the picture at all.

I like so far are Bob, Charlie, Marcus, Ace, and Crystal. Randy and Gillian bugged me. Bob reminds me of Bill Nye also! That's exactly who I thought of when I saw him.

I noticed the camera thing too.

I think it was very stupid of them to vote Michelle off. So far that tribe has been terrible at physical challenges and she was on of the stronger tribe members. She could have helped them do better. Getting rid of Gillian was a good move, although she should have been first. She was useless. They should have voted off Susie as well.

Randy reminds me of the comedian in the Sierra Mist commercials. Jim Gaffigan is his name I think.

Charlie's fawming all over Marcus is a little too much but on the other hand Marcus seems to be playing on it.

Dan hasn't impressed me at all. Just doesn't seem to be that great of a player

Yeah but come on - if they told you to wear a dress would you pick a strapless summer dress I'd at least try to wear something more practical along with a sports bra and shorts underneath...

That's EXACTLY what I said to DH last night! Too funny! We Bob!! I think he has endeared himself already!

I am such a Survivor fan!

During the first TC when Michelle was voted out - she basically attacked her entire tribe - she HAD to know she was OUT! I couldn't believe what she was saying. I'm pretty sure she thought Kenny was the same as the others, but she had to talk to someone.

What to say about Jillian - well, she definitely had her head on straight as far as what to wear - she looked like she belonged on an African safari - she had the right pants, layered tops - a hat. Unfortunately her age and her "blow sunshine up your b**t" attitude was too much!

I liked the ingenuity of GC (?) and Randy with the fishing hook - although I saw some serious bling around GC's neck that certainly could have made a hook - without breaking the glasses!

As far as Randy goes - I hope he GOES soon - I absolutely do not like his attitude!

Can't wait for next week!

I noticed the difference in how the picture appeared on the screen. When they went to tribal council - the shots of the tribe while they were getting situated looked totally different than the shots of Jeff. Looked to me like the difference between live and taped. Glad it wasn't just me who thought so!

Tevagirl, I could not agree more about the dress thing! These people are insane that wear dresses. Even my DH said to me, "Why would you wear something like that to go to a remote area in Africa to play Survivor?"

I like Ace right now, but I am sure that will change! LOL How clever of the Fang team to make a fishing hook out of the glasses!! Great idea!

I really liked the first episode though and I really liked how you have to choose when you go to Exile island. That is such a great twist to having to go there! I am sure some people will do anything to get that apple as the show goes on!

That Michelle girl is some kind of skinny!! Wouldn't you bulk up before you went on this show??

But despite how skinny she was she came in 2nd for FANG on the first challenge....she basically RAN up that hill while even the Olympian had soo much trouble.

I also kind of like the guy who didn't want to be leader on the losing tribe.

Oh..we just bought a brand new HDTV and the picture was fabulous! The scenery was breathe-taking all over Gabon and Africa!!! I am not sure if being in HD would distort the picture.

I agree voting off Michelle, she did seem to have an attitude but she was awesome in the first challenge. Ya, and I find this "crush" (call it what you like) that Charlie has for Marcus is distracting.

Not sure but the first clue was obviously to the little canyon or sand pit that they kept showing on camera. He just didn't go across the pond and up over the hill to find it. (well at least if he did they didn't show it)

Did anyone else notice that the picture and some of the camera work looked different than it has on Survivor's of the past?

I don't know how to explain it, but it just looked different.

I heard that it was filmed in HD
