well its sww ,, so all the days will be buisy ,, :cool1:
but crowd calenders are just a best guess of events gone bye ....
and previous times of year .. my wife uses them but there rarely on the $$$

we tend to pick our days where and if its crazy we hop someplace else ,,
but for sww we tend to stick it out no matter the crowds ... reopening of star tours 2 is the busiest first weekend the fl,group has ever seen at the studios in a long time ,, but thats come and gone ,, and no celebration this year so it should be much less hectic

no matter what it will be a fantastic time at the studios no matter what weekend your going to :woohoo::cool1::yay::dance3:

:rotfl2::rolleyes1

We are going the first weekend. How would you rank the order of days to go? Which day is least crowed and which is most?

Usually Fridays are slower of the three days. As you are going on the first weekend you might find the merchandise location to be very busy, especially if you go first thing in the morning since alot of people go for the LE merchandise. In fact, in years past, there has been a merchandise line that starts outside the park for that first Friday. Then they "walk" the line slowly to the merchandise tent, where people wait hours (I'm not exagerating) to get their hands on LE stuff.
If you go on that same Friday in the afternoon the merchandise line shoudl be better.

No they dont at sww .. That is a 501st thing .. That can be done online also ;) the old site is gone .. Ill see if i can find you the new info , if you want you can re up online and upload you photos ;)

That's great about Katie and that your girls like SW and have costumes. Are they in the Galactic Academy?

Just out of curiosity, do you remember what times you visited them? I know we went just before they were done for the night and caught Donald and Minnie, don't remember which we saw first. But each was about a 25 minute wait. We caught the last of Donald and the last of Minnie.

It was about 12:30 and Mickey was there IIRC.

For now I am going to go for the younger Mara Jade :thumbsup2 with the black jump suit look. I already purchased a toy blaster (Han Solo looking) that I will be painting and a toy replica of Vader's lightsaber. My goggles are being shipped to me as we speak and I will probably make the cowl and cloak first. I might buy a black unitard to start out and regular riding boots... after a while I will go for details... However the first 'real' detail I will concentrate on is the holsters. I like the side blaster holster better than the small gun that sits on the back.

We'll see after that how much more details I get. :scratchin

What time do the character pics and signings start after the park opens? Sorry if this already been answered.

Quick question! We will be there the first weekend. Our original plan was Fri, Sat, and Sun were dedicated to SWW. We may have to leave Sunday now. Will 2 days be enough? We will have another day earlier in the week at HS to do TSM and the other things there including Jedi Training. Thank you for your help!

Characters time varied from weekend to weekend last year, but the normal hours for them was starting around 9am. People got in line for the more popular ones (Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Disney SW) as soon as the park opened.

It really depends on what you want to do and how early you get to the park. If you want to do all the shows (Behind the Force, Stars of the Saga, Hyperspace Hoopla and Visit to the Maul, if Ray Park is there), get a good spot for the SW Parade, do character meet and greets and shop at the merchandise tent it can be done, but it'll be running from one thing to the next.
With 2 days what I would recommend is that one day you do one of the shows (say Starts of the Saga) characters and Hyperspace Hoopla and then go shopping (the merchandise tent remains opens until the park closes)
Then the other day do Behind the Force, more characters, PMC and the SW Parade.
People line up for the shows about an hour in advance but you could probably grab a spot if you show up 30 minutes before, depending on who the visiting celebs are. Visit to the Maul is the more popular one and you DO need to be in line one hour before.
A show that I've not mentioned and really has little to do with SW is James Arnold Taylor's Obi Wan and Beyond a Galaxy of voices...here he shows all the different voices he portrayes not only on SW but on video games, commercials and other cartoons. It's a really cool show with an awesome, inspirational message.

Isn't the parade at like 11:45? It was after the parade, that's all I know. It's been a while :lmao:

I believe the parade was at 12:40p last year.

How long does the parade last?

We have reservations at Hollywood & Vine for 1:50. Can we see the parade from in front of the restaurant? That would be super convenient. :goodvibes

Can't see it well from there at all, but the parade doesn't last that long either. H&V is very close though so you'll have no problems with that ADR.

Do they give out the fastpasses before the gate opens?

Or will I be standing in line for my fastpass as others are entering park and signing up for jedi training?

I just happened on this thread and realized that I know absolutely NOTHING about SWW !! :scared1: As luck would have it, we've got a HS day planned for June 7th, so it looks like we'll be able to see what the hoopla is all about. All I know, is it looks like ALOT of fun !!

So at the risk of sounding like a total moron, is the parade at HS all Star Wars during those days? And is there someplace I can go to find out more information about what is going on during SWW ? I really would appreciate any help from someone....I apologize for my ignorance on the subject. :flower3:

Are you talking about the celebrity fast passes or the attraction fast passes?

Celebrity FP typically start early. I had mine in hand around 7AM and was in the park just after 7:30.

The attraction FP distribution starts while you are signing up for JTA.

In the past there has been a Star Wars Motorcade. Last 2 years it was a 12:40pm. I think there is still the Pixar parade during the day too.

Typically we won't find out what's happening this year until shortly before SWW or on the actual first day of SWW. I think last year there were SWW Guides posted online about a week before.

Read through the thread, there is a ton of info. Most questions seem to be repeated so you could always start from the back if you don't want to start from the front.

Yep, the regular parade is at 3pm. A good place to look for past SWW info is:
