Official Star Wars Weekends 2013 Tips and Tricks

I am so hoping they keep the dates similiar to last year. I have our hotel booked and just bought our plane tickets for May 17 and May 18.

We'll be there May 10th - 18th, with SWW events planned for Friday, the 17th. I will have some disappointed sons if the weekend is changed! (Of course, they'll still be at Disney! ... but they are really looking forward to SWW!)

I'm doing star wars events on May 24. Unless they switch it all to June again. But they haven't done that in a few years.

We are probably going to be at WDW over a Star Wars Weekend for the first time. All the tips have been very helpful.

My daughter says she has heard something about not missing the Indiana Jones Stunt Show during SWW, but I can't find anything elsewhere about if anything really special happens at it then. Can anyone let me know if something happens then at Indiana Jones that we shouldn't miss?

In August 2010 there was a special hard ticket event designed around the Celebration convention and the shutting down of Star Tours prior to rehab. There was a special show on the Indiana Jones stage during this event, combining their regular show with Star Wars references. That show has never been done outside of that one-night event (it is not done on the regular Star Wars weekends, apparently it is too labor-intensive to put it on every weekend for four straight weeks) and you will likely see no change to the stunt show at all.

Here is hoping that a little pixie dust falls my way. Planning on being at Disney June 14-23. Hope that Disney will release the dates and they would include my dates of stay It would be cool to be there for SWW, but can't go earlier due to sons school and finals

talked to a CM yesterday and she said the dates would be released in Feb. really wanted them earlier so that I could use the dates for a chritmas present.

If there's a year to change anything, the year they just bought everything would probably be the year to do it.

Oh noooo.....no no no no....just days after my very first DVC points rental (I.e. non-refundable) for our very first SWW......no, maybe they're scheduling dozens of extra special guests and they are making sure the announcement is perfect.......(please tell me my Jedi mind trick is working here!!)

You might be out of luck. If the 2013 dates follow the past several years, the last weekend for SWW should be June 7-9, 2013.

seems like disney is slow on releasing dates this year hopefully sooner then later would really like to start looking for cheap airfare.

I don't remember them officially announcing the dates in previous years until Feb or so. Last year's early announcement was unusual.

I still think we are safe by assuming that it will follow the usual pattern of last 2 weekends in May and first 2 weekends in June. It has been that way for years...

Ok so I am still a little confused on the whole actor autograph thing. If I get a fast pass for one person and my husband for another can I just give him my fast pass? He is the Star Wars guy but I want to get him a fast pass, is that possible? Someone said everyone has to have a fast pass to the actor to get in line what if I have a baby who is only a year old, can she go with me because she won't even have a ticket?

Another question while your standing in line if they run out of passes do they tell you or wait for the line to finish?

Yay we are booked for June 1-15 First week at Boardwalk Villas so we can be close by to DHS to enjoy Star wars Weekends then off to AKV for a relaxing week

You have to be banded to gdt the autograph. Not just have a FP so no they cant be transferred. I just get a pic with whatever person dh is after and get the autographs for.him. I dont think the baby needs to be banded but you also dont need a ticket to get the FP so I'd ask when you get there.
They do tell you before the time whether or not you will get a FP.
