Ah, that makes sense, too. They can pull a Riz and use the idol to keep votes off of them.Oh... I thought it was a Christian ploy to grab it when he saw himself in trouble at tribal
I agree. The Billie Eilish idol is one thing. It is kind of like Sia giving the money at the end. But the Zac Brown fishing segment wasn't necessary. It would be one thing if he was teaching a tribe member, using the wimpy spear they are given, but to take a boat far out and use a professional spear was silly.Just caught up. Well the losing tribe will probably keep losing at this point. They have no physical strength and minimal brains. Survivor tribe division and subsequent changes are questionable. It becomes a boring show when you pretty much know what will happen at competitions.
AND I HATE the Zac Brown segment. As I viewer I am there to watch the game and game play. I have no interest in a celebrity hijacking a good portion of an episode to showcase himself.
I'm not sure that can really be prevented though. What did the fans say - more tribe swaps before a tribe is decimated? If so, they should have another swap soon. Since we didn't see it in the preview, I assume it isn't happening this week.

Zac Brown agreed to the entire thing. He was well aware of them filming him to be edited. He knows his "star level" and that he would be highlighted. If he wanted to experience Survivor - then play the game. Catch fish the way they do. Scrimp for fruits the way they do. It was ... I don't know, obnoxious.Zac Brown didn't edit the epidode.
You know what I'd love to see? Multiple challenges in a row in one episode. Start with an intense team water challenge, then do a team puzzle, then an individual food eating challenge with gross things (not all in one day). For each, there should be some type of big reward, like comfort items, fishing gear, or more chickens. Or bring on the auction.I want to watch the Survivor players.
That whole Zac Brown thing was super distracting and added nothing to the season. It was painful to sit through and I ended up fast forwarding through most of it. There is a lot of talk that the fish he caught was anchored and there are photos online where you can clearly see the line, which just makes the whole thing even more obnoxious. Also, why give the winners fish when they can eat fish every day?? Who the heck cares that this guy I have barely heard of can fish? I want to see the players, not this guy. He got more airtime than most of this season's players have had and it was just super irritating to watch.
I agree.Dee is really good at this game.
