Unusual Rooms

Aside from the *123 corner 1-bedroom resort views at Boardwalk, there are also the Boardwalk View 1-bedrooms that have the giant balconies on the 2nd floor which are fully covered and boxed in from your neighbors as well - plus some on the top floor. There are just 7 on floor 2 with the enormous balconies that are 3-4x the size of the regular balconies, and 2 more on 5 slightly smaller in depth but still 2-3x bigger than normal. They're controversial and disliked by some because the solid balcony wall makes it darker and more enclosed and you can't see the view through the balcony - personally I love them for the size, space, privacy, and weather protection - I've been able to sit out there during raging lightning and rain storms watching the view without getting wet.

5 of them on the 2nd floor are over the general store and clothing store, and two more over the old Big River Grill location. I request them every time I get a Boardwalk View room.

Unfortunately, if I sit down on one of those balconies, the wall is too high and my only view is of the clouds! So add me to the group who dislike them and will be happy to leave them to you.

Though not at the World proper, the 2BRs in buildings 14 and 15 at DHHIR have the largest balconies there as they sprawl across the width of the suite, approximately half the building. Bonus feature: they look over the part of the marsh that seeps into the resort at high tide. On the front of the building, the entrances on one end can be accessed from the other end with the continuous decking between the two--no other building there has that feature. Now, the rooms themselves are the same as any other 2BR on property, but their exterior features, to me, meet the "unusual rooms" criteria. pirate:
