smart move although it would be neat if they used them somehow maybe in the queues or in areas unaccessible to guests but still in eyesight

Regarding "one attraction" as an afterthought is a bit strange. We used to look forward to the opening of "one attraction" and it was a major event every time it happened, even when the attraction was much simpler than Smuggler's Run. Have we really become so jaded that one attraction with a whole bunch of thematic extras on top is no longer as exciting as one attraction alone was in the past?

I'm not sure there's ever been an entire land the size of GE open with only 1 attraction, though...

It's still a new attraction. We used to get excited about an attraction opening, all by itself, with nothing else. Now we're getting an attraction AND "an entire land", with some interactive activities, with themed eats, etc. That should make guests more excited, not less excited, than just an attraction opening by itself.

HAHA, now that's progress! I'm actually super excited about this, too. My family is big on visual submersion, we go to theme parks as much for that as we do rides and entertainment.

Some more details on how the booking of a time slot for access to GE at Disneyland during those first weeks released

basically if you have a reservation at a Disney hotel you will get an e-mail today informing you of how to register for a timeslot as you are guaranteed one. For those staying off property, details will come shortly

I'm staying at the Disneyland Hotel and just got an email for my reservation for GE. Only problem is, they have me arriving May 29 and my reservation is for May 30 at 11 am - 3 pm. I don't actually arrive until May 30 (around 6 pm). Right now I'm on hold on the phone, waiting to correct this problem.

I have not received an email for either of my cash reservations, yet. Also checked my spam filter and not there either.

EDIT: Found it! In the promotional folder, sent 11:04am this morning. Both of my cash reservations are incorrect. They have me arriving and departing a day early than the actual reservation. One of my reservation gives my SW:GE reservation as 05/30, so I am doubtful these SW:GE reservations are correct.

Lots of issues it seems. I haven’t really seen a person yet that hasn’t had an issue.

No there is a thread on the Disneyland board and just chatter about it on Twitter. Searching Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge might help.
