PossiblyI am still in shock that the land is opening so early! Now I am curious about how things are going to play out. Will ROTR be open for November? Will Fastpasses be open by then? Will I be able to even get near HS during our vacation?

I wouldn't worry about the "select" term. They use that term to describe EMH everywhere on their site, not just for Galaxy's Edge. It will probably be the same as any other EMH.
Those hours were great too. Managed to do Flight of Passage 12 times over a few of them a few weeks after opening without waiting very long. Hopefully since there’s “no fastpass+” for the falcon the line will move quick enough.Yup - I recall the same debate when they announced that there would Elbe evening EMH for every night for Pandora when it first opened and it said “select” and people were worried - but turned out to be the same as regular access to EMH
Yeah i REALLY hope so. We're at Pop in September.I asssumed they would at least keep the resorts with skyliner access for extra magic hours. it doesn't make sense not to. we're at AoA in October.
Just curious about availability for that weekend (definitely not for myself - we're going down from 8/10-8/19 and are not that close - Delaware) because I was curious if people were jumping all over hotel reservations for then. Somebody can still get a heck of deal for that - Pop has standard rooms still available with the Sun & Fun: 8/28-9/2 for only $113/night.
I think it depends on which resort. I attempted to book the YC CL as soon as the date was announced and the confirmation page went into perpetual load. I finally gave up and tried booking again and it was sold out. BWI standard was available as well as the BC, so chose BWI. Checked not long ago and the BC was sold out. The Epcot resorts are going to be tough to come by.
Assuming (could be a mistake, but looking like a safer assumption now given the announcement coupled with the testing that's been going on) that Skyliner is open, I think that really makes those Skyliner resorts a strong choice, especially for those going for Galaxy's Edge, especially since they are still priced pre-Skyliner and pre-Galaxy's Edge. Caribbean is also very attractive since there's no switching lines - just a single stop to DHS. I'd be very surprised if those resorts don't start going quickly.
But that really wouldn't be fair. That looks at it from a different angle I'll give you that.Rather than making "Smugglers Run" no fastpass, I think it would be better to make it only fastpass. That would let the same number of people per day experience the attractions and no one would have to stand in a four+ hour line.
The Disney parks article stated they would not require a reservation for WDW.Soooo...are we thinking yes or not that they will do the reservation thing at WDW like they are doing at Disneyland? We had already booked a couple of nights at the Poly Sept 30-Oct 2 with the intention of just doing MNNSHP but now of course we are going to have a day at DHS! I am kinda hoping they do the reservations for on property guests, maybe it will help keep the crowds manageable.![]()
