***Official*** Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Information Thread *** Contains SPOILERS ***

Yes I'm referring to the paid EMM at DHS. I'm wondering if I should book that for September? But they haven't explicitly stated SWGE would be included
I think currently those only go to August 28th and they were specific for Toy Story Land (even names so) since it opened. At least when I did it that’s all we were given access too (aside from breakfast). I’m guessing at some point they continue to sell one for Toy Story and add a new one for SW:GE but they will be two separate and run possibly concurrently but buying one gets you access to its part only.

The EMM are treated as Dinning reservations (need park ticket and everything) so i suspect that’s why they were more focused on certain rides. However the After Hours events are an admission ticket and were for more attractions on whole but they stop end of April for HS. All said I think as we get closer they will announce these eventually and if they include SW:GE for after hours or if an EMM was made for SW:GE but might not be right away.

Will this push the crowd numbers up for all four parks in mid-September or think the other three will be less crowded? I’ve never been around so soon after a new land was open, and I suspect for Star Wars it’ll be double anything before.
My guess is that it’ll impact all parks (and not in the way that everyone wants) but I’m not sure how much. You’re going to have people coming for GE as first priority but most of them will probably also visit the other parks at some point. It’ll be spread out among Disney and Universal at least.

As for DL, I’m prob going there as my first GE experience and I’m thinking about going to California Adventure for the first time as part of that trip. So yeah, everything’s gonna be crowded.

Currently Sunday mornings. Not sure if they have evening hours. But yes it’ll change I’m sure.
When Pandora opened didn’t they have daily pm EMH for a while? And the park opened at 8 every day (so am EMH started at 7). I want to say it was all summer?

I'm a little bummed about no FP+. We have to use DAS for my son for long wait rides, he just can't wait in line that long. I'd even be ok with them giving us a return time equal to the standby line, as long as he gets a chance to ride. Our trip is booked later in the year, so hopefully they'll have it by then. Otherwise it'll most likely be two years before we get another shot.

I almost responded to this in the News thread but I remembered you wanted to keep Star Wars chitchat here! You’re a successful herder.

That footage is killing me in the best possible way! I was a tad bit disappointed to hear that Rise of the Resistance wouldn’t be open when we visit DL, but now I just want to be inside the land! That footage looks amazing.

I know! This footage is incredible!

@rteetz I need your help and superior knowledge please :)

Have you heard anything about ROTR opening at the end of June at DL? As much as we wanted to be at the opening, my DH doesn’t want to go and ROTR only open a few weeks later. This was the attraction we were most looking forward too and don’t want any spoilers for.

Also, is it only ROTR that won’t be opening that first day? I’m also worried the cantina or other parts might not be open for example!

Thank you so much :)

Right that’s it I’ve lost it!!!:hyper::hyper:

I am in geek heaven as I have a trip booked for Oct/Nov and thought that SWGE would be open around thanksgiving so I wouldn’t get to see it.

Now not only will it be open it would have been open for at least two weeks before I turn up.

I am So so so, and I cannot stress this enough, so excited - blue milk yes please lol

Does anyone remember if Disney excluded FoP from FP when it first opened as well? I thought I read that it did, but can't remember for how long. I remember being worried about it for our trip that year, especially after hearing how long the lines were, but by the time our trip came around (6 mo. after opening, I think) FP were made available. Hoping for something similar this time!
Also, how early do you think people should get to HS to line up before opening? We're staying onsite, and not until Dec., but it will still be crowded. Really hoping they offer an after hours event for HS that includes this.

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo – Opening August 29, 201

American Cuisine
Quick Service
Dining Plans Not Accepted

Anyone think that will change? I definitely want to try some of the food offerings but the dining plan is already too much food so I dont want to be buying food out of pocket as well.

Pandora opened on May 27th. The first time I was there was on July 11th and I had a FP+ for FOP. I can't remember if they didn't offer them initially or for how long, but it couldn't have been for more than a month. I also can't speculate on your last question, but you have the luxury of time on your side. By December, you're going to know exactly how early you will need to get to the gate. That will be throughly discussed on here.

FYI, if your son has the DAS, it will still work for a return time. I verified that with Guest Services today. They told me that they will tell you where to enter the ride when they give you a return time. The DAS isn't a fast pass, even though you go in that entrance. It's the same as standing in line, only virtually.

My son has had one in the past and we will try to do it again this time. He "looks" normal but he can't handle the sensory issues of people brushing up against him or touching him. He also gets overwhelmed when there is a lot going on. He is 15 and I had hoped by this trip not to use one and just stand in line but with what this is going to do to the crowd level, I'm not even going to try it.

I don’t think any one knows details about when RotR will open - though have seen @rteetz mentuon he thinks t will be more than a few weeks

From everything I have seen and read it is only RotR that is not opening - so all the food and merch, etc will open. Literally just the on eride not opening
