Welcome in to the September 2022 Group @HongKongPhooey!!!!!Yacht Club 9/4 - 9/11
My son has a DAS pass which can only be used in standby lines. So I’d rather they be standby do we know for sure we can get to ride. Right now, with VQ staying open so long that will probably be the case, but we only have one day in Epcot and no hopper.Would standby lines be longer waits than VQ? Is it just the ability to be more flexible about jumping in line that you like?
I wonder when they will be available to order in MDE with your package. I have been holding off getting our discount ones since we already have several new ones.Magic Band+ coming 7/27!! Hurrah for the September group! This is just in time for my order by date. Thank goodness.

It sounds like on the 27th itself from the article. Looks like it goes live that day on MDE, ShopDisney, and in Parks.I wonder when they will be available to order in MDE with your package. I have been holding off getting our discount ones since we already have several new ones.
I am going to wait and hear how the usability is. I would only get them for the kids in our party- they’re the ones who will enjoy collecting statue interactions and glowing and doing bounty hunter stuff. If it’s too much for a 7, 9, 10, 11yo to handle then we will pass…Something else to keep in mind with the MagicBand+ is it may not be something everyone in the group will want since its going to be more complicated than a traditional MB. I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids or non techie people. They're going to need to be paired with a device/MDE app it sounds like and charged. I wonder how long a charge will hold for?
Before you embark on these experiences, make sure your MagicBand+ is charged, up to date and paired to your device.
You have more patience than me. I wouldn't keep it internal that long.I am going to wait and hear how the usability is. I hope this means they’ll have a refresh on regular MBs available then as well though. Either way I need more than sparkle pink as a option! I really really don’t want to wait to be in a park and waste morning time to buy and pair 11 bands. My kids will take an hour deciding on which one and I’ll be internally screaming.
My 2nd ADR day today for our split stay and no availability for Chef Mickeys for 4 people. Ahhhh! I keep striking out. I’ll keep looking….wish me luck!My ADR day was yesterday and no availability for sci-fi lunch or dinner for party of 2 or 4. Boo! I’ll keep looking and hoping it opens up.
Good luck! There are still a couple I didn't get and am hoping for. I might break down and pay for a month of a reservation finder app when I'm at 30 days...My 2nd ADR day today for our split stay and no availability for Chef Mickeys for 4 people. Ahhhh! Yes, they are said to be heavier and wider. I wonder if they are waterproof, because you have to charge them. I was excited about getting one and was waiting but....decided to go with an inexpensive MDE one because I don't want to deal with charging them.It sounds like on the 27th itself from the article. Its also not going to be as expensive as originally thought. I had read pricing was around $50 at some point, but it looks like $35 with discounts for ordering before your trip on MDE.
If you’re planning to get one or even collect some, don’t forget that Disney Resort hotel guests may purchase MagicBand+ online at special prices before their arrival. Annual Passholder discounts will also be available on MagicBand+. All guests can buy MagicBand+ at select stores across Walt Disney World and online at shopDisney, starting at $34.99.
