***Official September 2022 Thread***

I think that you can use your deluxe benefits until midnight but it could be an issue if you check in to POFQ also.

I know that when we stayed CL at AKL we had access to the lounge until midnight (switched to a 1br).

If you have an issue, speak with a CM and they can help.

Thanks so much for the info!!

Wooo hooo! Snagged a reservation for Rose and Crown Dining Room!! Not for fireworks sadly, but I'll still keep trying. However I got an earlier dinner reservation which works out well that day for my touring plan if I can't snag the fireworks later on.

Maybe lucking out on this was my reward for the 5 hours I spent on conference calls working on a project today. :badpc:

ADR's seemed pretty open for Sept 10-20 at 3AM (PST).

I only wanted Sci-Fi and 50's Prime Time and got them. It's a shame that I must get a reservation for two even when dining solo - nothing available at all for a party of one.

I usually buy my plane ticket mid-July. I just checked and a single seat, round trip (redeye to MCO/7:30PM to LAX) is $1,050. I got my seat on June 23rd for $490 and used a $200 credit - so $290. A saving of $660!

I have a lot of trouble with that too. I swear that's why I can't get the Rose and Crown fireworks, but even looking for a party of two doesn't help.

It's so odd the way the system works!

On my ADR day a couple of days ago, I had to search for a party of 3 instead of 2, then I was able to modify.

Good morning! I happen to accidentally stumble upon this thread last night. DH and I will be at Disney 9/3-9/10 sans kids for our 10-year wedding anniversary on 9/8. We have 5-day hoppers with G+, no parks on arrival or departure day and our rest day is Tuesday. We’re staying at the Dolphin so that we get deluxe perks at moderate prices. ADR day went very well yesterday. I booked Boma late breakfast, Skipper Canteen dinner, Steakhouse 71 breakfast before Keys to the Kingdom tour on Labor Day, Shula’s, Boma dinner, Space 220 Lounge dinner, Steakhouse 71 dinner, and Ale & Compass late breakfast for our departure. We’re only about 6 hours away so we drive down. On our way in we’re going to stop at Icon Park for Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips. I’m ridiculously excited for that!
This is our 4th trip overall but our 2nd without kids. Our first trip was back in 2008 when our relationship was still fresh-ish. I joke that my now husband only stayed with me for the free vacation because I won that trip to Braves Spring Training Camp but they put us up at GF Club Level. 🙃 We had a 10.5-year break in Disney until Thanksgiving week 2018 which did not go even a little bit how we expected (the husband of the family we were traveling with decided to leave his wife the week before we left and it threw every single plan we made out the window). We came back to Disney in September 2019 as our re-do trip and had an amazing time. I can’t wait for the next 59 days to pass so I can make it back home! 🏰 Until then, we still have our family vacay (kids included) down to the Caribbean in only 13 days. It’ll be the kids’ first flight and first time out of the USA.
We’ll be there the same days as you! But we are staying at POP Century. We take some trips sans kids when they are with their dad. It’s nice to have completely different experiences! Have a great trip!

That's great! I'm astounded at how expensive airline tickets are these days. Bonus that is it direct?

I booked the Rose and Crown Fireworks dining for 3 guests when I couldn’t get 2 than I immediately called guest services and asked them to change my reservation to 2 people which they did with no problem and i was immediately refunded the cost of one diner. I also did this for breakfast at Cinderella’s Table.

They really should take odd numbers or solo travelers into better consideration for ADRs. You're never going to be sat at a table with only one or three chairs. Develop a system where your tables are always 2 top or 4 top and then when someone requests a one or a three it matches accordingly. They seem to make it much more complicated on everyone than is necessary. I did try booking for two, but still coming up empty. I won't give up, but I did just want to dine there regardless of fireworks or not.

Anyone in here excited about Cosmic Rewind? My crew is all about it. They want to try and get it. I'm waiting to see if they like it because it may be too intense for me. A turning car, moving fast, and watching screens all at the same time may give me motion sickness. I'm okay not doing it. Anyone else have thoughts?
I’m really excited to try it, hoping we can get both VQ and ILL, I know my oldest DD will want to go as many time as she can. And half our party will skip because they’re not coaster or motion sick ride people.

Anyone care to share their plans? Our ADR day is Sunday so we've been staying up late finalizing our plans.
Looks so good! I’m jealous of your HHN time. Some day when my kids are older… here’s our visual plan so far!

We are still trying to finalize our park days, ADR day is the 20th. Working plan is:
9/18 Arrival BCV pool day Rainforest Cafe
9/19 MK Liberty Tree (family tradition)
9/20 HS Hollywood and Vine
9/21 AK Yak and Yeti lunch, Boma dinner
9/22 EP
9/24 MK Ohana
9/25 resort day and late flight
The problem is 9/20 is a MNSSHP night, so I am wondering if it will make HS more crowded as people avoid the early close at MK. So thinking about switching 9/19 and 9/20, not worried about MK closing early. It just seems weird to not start out the parks at MK.

We've got a short itinerary and kind of loose at this point. It's just DD and I for what is becoming an annual MNSSHP weekend.

9/7 arrive MCO late, stay at Hyatt
9/8 - Head to SOG when we get up. Then no clue, was trying for Homecomin' but no dinner ADRs. May do Chip and Dale campfire at the Fort instead
9/9 Mega park day open to close as much as we can fit in between 4 parks. Currently starting at MK, but may change. This thread inspired me to book at 9:40 p.m. Oga's so well after park close. Currently deciding between that and Harmonious...
9/10 - Chef Mickey late breakfast (then no clue lol)
9/11 - MNSSHP
9/12 - chill day at Shades of Green until bus pickup in the afternoon - may visit monorail resorts if we haven't already

As an aside, there were tons of Oga ADRs days after my ADR day (I didn't book that day since Oga wasn't on our radar this trip) so it's hopeful lower crowds? I've not seen that happen before lol
